I have always wanted to try having a meal box delivered to my house but I am someone that really enjoy going to the grocery store and shopping for food myself, so I never really looked into all the meal delivery options that are available - you know the ones - hello fresh, marley spoon, dinnerly. i am pretty sure there are more.
A few videos ago i gave the dinnerly meal kit delivery ago, and i really liked how easy it was and so when i came across another coupon code this time for Hello Fresh Australia, - i decided to give this one a go as well and compare the two.
So here is my Hello Fresh Review or i guess, a grocery haul? Come along and cook with me and if you do end up trying these recipes let me know how you go!
HELLO FRESH AUSTRALIA - Taste Test and Review! | Meal Kit Delivery Grocery Haul
The thing I love about hello fresh is the meal ideas. It’s so refreshing. I love cooking but sometimes I’m not motivated because I can’t think of new meals to make
Lulu Bati I wait for my box tomorrow I’m so excited
The for supporting my family used to own it
I have been using Hello Fresh for a few months and I love it. The convenience of having someone else get all the ingredients for you and deliver it is great because I hate going to the supermarket haha, plus there's no food waste.
Ps, I love how you describe the different ingredients, "a thing of bacon" cracked me up 🤣🤣🤣
I think the issue here is picking Asian dishes when being Asian 😅 That has happened to me before and I try to pick more western recipes when it comes to quick recipes like this.
tempted to give this stuff a try...looks yummy and ez!
Thank you for this, the video was really informative and helpful!!
Hi Janice. Your food looks great as it always does. Thankyou for bringing this video to us.
thank you Jeff!
Wow it makes cooking so simple and easy!
I am simple I see a new Janice video I click haha you're getting better each time at cooking good job
i am?!?! thank you!
I am on with $35 for 2. The recipes included - things I wouldn't bother shopping for otherwise as well as everything is measured up and packaged incl delivery. Yeah that's worth a try. TY❤️
Great video! Your videos are easy to watch and organized well ❤️
Thanks man
Your accent is everything
Janice, close to 30K now 🙂. Keep at it 💪🏻
thank you Ivan !
The best thing about these ones r recipes that v dnt have to think n straight away cook delicious meals...
The pasta looks really good, could be a nice option for this weekend but I was already planing to do a second batch of Yu Heung Kei Ji... So good. I will keep the pasta recipe in my back pocket. Your onion glasses gives you a Matrix style! btw, I like your Corn Flakes hoodie!
thanks Nicholas! second batach of Yu Heung Kei Ji?? im so glad you like it, its one of my fav eggplant dishes
@Janice Fung Yes, I did my first Yu Heung Kei Ji ever two weeks ago. I don't know if it was as good as yours but I followed your instructions as closely as possible. I really loved it! I prepare my meales for the office during the weekend so I don't get too busy during the week and it is healthier this way than eating restaurant food. At the same time, with the current situation in the world, I cannot travel so I try to do recipes from different origins. When I travel, I do it a lot for the pleasure of discovering new dishes.
Great job as always , food looked great and easy to cook I think anyone could cook them , but as you said the price. Nice vlog as always stay safe
thanks so much Michael! :)
If you’re looking for a new grater I recommend the Börner V slicer - it’s a mandolin which will finely slice your veggies but there’s also a grater option. It’s especially good for stir fry as it chops evenly. Always make sure to use the hand guard though!
thanks for the rec! i'll look into it :)
Thanks for posting. I live of Uber eats, so will give this a crack just to eat better.
Youre just like me!!!! You choose all the Asian style recipes LOL.
i just gravitate towards it lol
You deserve more viewers !
thanks man, you're too kind!
Pretty good meals you got there... not a huge pasta fan, but anything with pesto I'm always up for!
I also prefer to go to the grocery store and pick out my own stuff.
Where did the red chili pepper go! My guess is that just one of those peppers could last you like for 20 meal preps! 😜
haha that chili is still in my fridge waiting to be used. will probably sit there for a long while.. untouched
I thought it looked great and you're funny. I've tried a mail order service once. I prefer to fly by the seat of my pants. Doesn't always turn out well. Always fun watching your channel.
thank you!
Try the kleva range grater they are amazing!
Have you tried cutting your onions while still cold from refrigerator? It helps a lot for me. Great video btw.
I haven’t but I will now!
Thanks for the review Janice. I'm still on the fence whether to give them a try. Plastic disappoints me, I know it is not always avoidable... I just hate plastic. :)
Omg why hasn’t this brand sponsored Janice yet 😭😭!!
hahaha ikr i wish i had a discount code i could give you :(
good luck with your subs and earnings :)
thank you :)
These meals look sooo simple, but I'm sooo lazy to cook 🤭😂
they are actually really easy and pretty quick to make if you dont have to film it XD
Well done good cheap easy food to cook up 😁
cheers Boon!
great work:)
Did you rinse the rice..
could you please do a hello fresh meals cook but from supermarket ingredients only and let us know how it comes out
I think you should invest in a Japanese mandoline/vegetable slicer, and maybe a garlic press too. Just makes things easier and more precise, plus I don't have to worry about you cutting your fingers off. You can also soak your onion slices in iced water for a couple of minutes to make them less pungent .
yeah i probably will. it probably doesn't come as a surprise but i have accidentally cut myself when making a video haha.....
as in soak a whole onion in water before i cut it?
@@JaniceFung lol, no, after you slice it. And it doesn't surprise me that you cut your fingers, even the pros do. A few years ago at a restaurant I was working in, the executive chef came in to the kitchen and said that he just ended an interview early because the applicant said he had never cut himself. Sure ya didn't buddy! lol
hahaha you gotta find a greater grater......so grateful
yea itd be pretty great if i could find a greater grater
How much does it cost? I dont get it, about per person per meals per day. Is it one box for the whole week or one box for one day?
You know it's Janice's video when she starts with Hello Hello Hello
hello hello hello!
Hi there, i am always interested in trying hellofresh but always concerned with the freshness of the meats.
I love hello fresh so does my partner!
👍 This food box would be a a great christmas present for cooking lovers.
yeah! see if you can scout around for a discount code too
Is one bag supposed to be one serving?
Great video!! But I think its for people who are not very good at cooking, seems like too much packaging for me 🤔
Not quite ready for 'Masterchef' with those plating skills...lol...😜
Absolutely not hahahhaa
"another day", "tomorrow" yeah...wink wink ;)
I watched the pasta part twice and I didn’t see where the pesto went it 🤔
Hello fresh is amazing
any other meal kits you want me to try???
Maybe youfoodz?
Sashi's Secret
Reckon you could try some cook-at-home resturant options that have popped up since covid happened? market city IGA has a good selection, plus the resturants themselves.
marley spoon?
Try Din Tai Fung’s frozen meals!! See if they taste the same as they do I store because they now sell them frozen since covid 😁
Good food but too expensive after promos.
Gr8 vid. was good to see 'what's in the box'!
and funny too - you're obviously used to 'real' asian food - not an aussie version!
Nice, looks decent but I guess like you said it's all about that single word "Convenience" for people who don't really have a lot of time. Price wise I definitely could go to Woolies, Coles or Aldi's and buy my own ingredients for much cheaper especially with weekly specials.
yeahhh i like the weekly specials and those extra qantas points from woolies ... and i actually really enjoy grocery shopping lol
Yummy!! If only we have tos here....😑
tos??
Tos = ‘those’ 😄
Why you gotta post these so late at night? Now I'm hungry, lol. I appreciate your review though! I've been wanting to try these delivery meal kits but my main concern is whether or not the portion would be enough (which you've addressed). Although you're right - people like us probably eat too much, lol.
haha i'll try to post earlier next time :P
yeah.. i find too portions too small because i eat too much xD
Tried hello fresh but there stuff doesn’t last
So it's $70 a week?
Janice get rid of espresso coffee machine get a decent coffee machine like quick mills or rocket
OMG. All the meal kits do some fore of Korean Beef Tacos.
really?!
@@JaniceFung & they are not very Korean LOL
What the diff of just getting the recipe yourself and getting the ingredients
Hi
Hey thanks for for your review video. I just wanted to let you know that when you say this one these ones those ones or that one you don't need actually need to include one in those pronunciations because it is already implied in the word that there is either one or more than one. Therefore making these ones those ones that one and this one, improper English. I'd just like to help you out on that one so you can become a better person, cheers have a good one.
Oh stop it, it’s just a way to phrase things. “So you can become a better person”, get over yourself.
@@Bright2010Star I don't quite understand your comment.
@@dukeboy1323 don’t try and correct her speech when you can’t even decipher what others are saying.
@@Bright2010Star @VII187 No I don't understand you because you legitimately don't make any sense with what you are saying. It's not a phrase for saying things, it's incorrect English. Heaven forbid I try to help someone.
@@dukeboy1323 get over yourself bro
“can you speak”
Annoying. Still have to wash and chop. Want some plan in which I only need to fry or steam or saute, etc.
LOL that's definitely not a Viet recipe, we don't ever use jest and we don't use sweet stuffs to marinate beef, it makes the beef hard and chewy, the oyster sauce is on point but squeezing lime on stir fried beef and rice is a big no-no. We mostly use lime for noodles and/or dipping sauces
hahahah that's what i thought - i'd never seen anything like this in any Viet restaurants i've been to
Reminds me of MRE
really? which meal?
@@JaniceFung The entire box is like a 24 hour meal.
Wait... 1 taco is 1 meal??? How is that filling at all
Hi Janice, enjoy your videos very much. One tip for grating. Grate away from you, it’s much easier as it uses your weight .
thanks for the tip Phillip!
$70 without a discount code AND you need pantry items.... Yikes.... I guess I'll keep avoiding eye-contact with the Hello Fresh pop-up stall people at my local shops....
hahahah
🙊🤝
And no, if that was vietnamese it wouldn't have chinese sauce and it would be spicy/sour lol
amount is too less, smaller size portion
_-😋💫🌹interdius hebat
All this showed me that this is just a gimmick rebranding of you just saving the step of looking up recipes yourself save yourmoney
most of these meals seems to be vegetables, would not buy
You are so cute, if I were 45 years younger I'd let you get to know me and then see if you could resist falling in love with me! Well you are really CUTE, and I am OLD, so I guess your heart is safe! Seriously I do enjoy your vids and wish the best for you. Blessings from Kansas!
