@VCG Construction…look at that punum! Such a fresh faced young go getter, right there! Great quick tutorial. I need to rewatch the whole video for more. Thanks for sharing.

Giant battery powered vacuums never made much sense to me. I’d rather just plug them into the wall rather than have special batteries for them

Got this during that last decent sale at Directtoolsoutlet myself. It’s fine for around the house stuff that I use it for, but being bigger than my other vacs… it’s just been sitting in the corner. My hands down favorite vac is the 2.6 gallon 18v Bosch cordless. It’s light and easy to carry and has the extensions. The suction is great also. This 40v will probably go out to the garage

Yeah man, what a let down. I even like my little 3 gallon Ridgid. It's been great! Last year when my basement was flooding from this tornado, it would've been great to have something large like this though. I was EXHAUSTED fighting that water off until the storm passed!

I ordered the dual battery Ridgid ... 9gal ... it has 4 screws hold the battery attachment to the lid w/motor .. only 2 wires come out ... talk abt that in a sec ... but it arrived w two of the screw holes busted and my daughter touched it and broke remaining 2 ... RIDGID customer service was PERFECT and sent new one out IMMEDIATELY ... so I epoxied the pieces back together ... drilled em out and good as new ... now hve 2 brand new RIDGID 9gal 18v shop vacs ... anybody know how to wire up a relay so I can make it hybrid? Lid is exact same as corded model ... even has the holder inside for the lug on corded shopvac

I’ll stick to my free corded Ridgid vacuum. 🙂🙂. I do have an advantage over you, I use my pick’m up truck to hall messy items.🙂🙂. Keep’m coming.

I have the 18v 4.75G Ryobi Shop vac. Was kind of disappointed of it’s suction power. I use it mainly for drywall sanding combo (used a water jug strap) and to clean my car. I live in apartment complex and there is no way to put an extension cord. So it is pretty handy. Wanted to get the 40v one but…. I’ll wait. They are improving old tools but the 40v shop vac and the 23G pin nailer haven’t got an upgrade. I really want them to upgrade those.

Yeah, definitely wait. I love their stick vacuum. It's not as powerful as a corded, but does a great job on light jobs. The shop vac was a major letdown. It was cheap though! LOL, definitely not useless, but not what I was expecting out of a 40V tool. Thanks for the comment Antonio!

I like my old 3gallon craftsman. Yes it needs a plug but 17 years on and it’s still working strong. A shop vac should have a plug as the main. You can have a battery as a backup but the main should be plug. Like they do with their fan. Combo power!

Battery power just isn't at the level of corded for vacuums.

Nah, not even close! Ridgid, is much smaller but has some decent punch.

Both Hart and Ryobi being made by TTI is probably why the hoses are interchangeable.

Seems like a good use of 40v batteries while my Milwaukee's are on tools
