Watched his show years ago so i listened to the whole podcast. It was good of him to let it all out. It was hard podcast to finish with his personality and lack of humility for a "faithful Christian"

This podcast made my brain hurt😂😂. My man was all over the place. I’d say he’s more bipolar than autistic. He’s up, he’s down, he’s gonna punch a dude in the face, but he’s hard to get mad, he loves life, he hates everything etc…etc…. 😅😅

“I’ve shot too many 130” 8 points to care.” If someone’s that far gone you need to leave the sport. I like this podcast but they seem to side with the well off tv guys too much for me. These tv guys ruin it for us regular people. Some of us do care, a broken sinful person would admit their wrongs. Not compare a hunting violation to a dui.

Couldn't listen much past the intro where he said he would use tannerite or his truck to kill deer if it was legal! No respect for the animal. Just because its legal doesn't make it morally right to do so. He just reinforced my perception I had of him in the past. Maybe i'll listen to the rest later but I doubt it. Still one of the best hunting podcast out there.

He spoke of personal ups and downs and made things public and I respect him for the courage to to this. By far one of the greatest episodes yet, such an amazing story to hear especially for someone my age 24 that grew up watching all of the shows he was on and always wondering the true story of what happened to Chris. On top of the inspirational part of it and him really talking about how much he has changed his life and came realize what his true purpose is. Amazing episode guys!

I loved watching Arrow Affliction and liked watching all of Chris's shows. He was a heck of a bow shooter. The trick shots he did was amazing. Glad to see him come out talk about this incident. After listening to this podcast, it's really changed my view of him. I know people make mistakes, but he's just a giant blow hole. He never once was apologetic about what he did. He tried to blame others and his past (abusive dad..etc..etc) for his actions while trying to praise Jesus. To blame sponsors for leaving him when his incident happened is pretty sad. Why would any sponsor hang around him when those videos showed up. Sounds like Huntr and him are teaming up for future projects, very sad for Huntr. Poor Jared sounds like he's in love with Chris.

I got to meet him 1 time and to sum it up he was a complete asshole. After watching this it's clear he's got an ego problem and he can't man up to the shit in his past instead of blaming everyone else. But yet he magically found God afterwards which to me I see as just a facade. But hey maybe him and CJ can team up since they both like poaching deer

He didn't say anything wrong about what he done in any way that implied he was innocent of the charges. Unless I was watching something different than you, he said the whole situation was a blessing . And as a Christian , he should be praising Jesus!! We all live in a glass house so watch out throwing stones!!

I don’t know if I’ve ever heard someone talk in circles so much in my life. Almost 0 humility or accountability. I’m glad he came on to tell his side though. Even if he did execute the 5 D’s of dodgeball whenever the uncomfortable came up. I’m happy he seems to have cleaned up his act but I think he has a ways to go before the man in the mirror is the man he thinks he is.

@@HUNTRPOD one more thing to touch on the content aspect of things, Chris Brackett made content that you could watch over and over and be intrigued. Content nowadays I find myself and many others skipping through the dull moments and there is the same thing flooded with the same energy. We grew up on content that was action packed filled with energy. I find myself watching more sheep hunts and other high energy hunts that are very non existent in the whitetail world of production nowadays.

I got to hang out and chat with Chris at ATA in 2010, and he's a dude! I didn't get to see it, but I was told he was shooting playing cards in half sideways with his bow. I was videoing hunts in the industry at the time, and what a blast that show was! Best show I ever attended. It was a bowhunters dream come true! I hate to hear it's turned south, which is no surprise seeing how hunting shows have changed
since I was around the industry. Y'all are right. It was one huge close community back then. After parties and hanging out with the top names in the industry, it was like hanging out with old high school buddies. I was with some people that knew Chris, and we hung out for a while. He was as humble, cool, and down to earth as anyone I'd ever met. He stayed way after and talked with fans and friends. I met a ton of people from the industry who were awesome and also some not so much. Alot of keyboard pirates on here that pretend they've never been in the wrong. If some of them knew half of the stuff that's gone on in the industry, they'd be mindblown. People make mistakes, and I'm happy to see Chris tell his story. He was a wolf in his day, and I hope he makes a comeback. When you're in that spotlight, everyone is out to point fingers and hoping you slip. Good to see Chris with his faith in JESUS!

And asking the hard question, Do you admire, respect, and/or are thankful for the animal that you hunt.. dont let trophies or thurst for the kill take away from the beauty, opportunity, or gift of what hunting provides

Great segment guys, I truly feel like he laid it all out here. We as hunters have all been in a position where we may have stepped over the line a time or two, 99% of us have at one point in time said should I do this or not. He was exactly what you said he was the 200” buck that they just had to take down. They used him to set an example and ultimately he paid his dues. Chris said it best we’re all human, none of us are perfect every single one of us is a sinner. He has chosen to take another approach to his life and that’s his choice to make. I can remember when he started the aerial bowfishing and all of my friends were like we gotta go down there and try this. We all watched his shows weather you loved him or hated him he produced amazing content. I wish him nothing but the best as he ventures on his new journey in life. The industry has definitely changed it’s become a game of inches literally, how big was he, is what lost people ask. We need to showcase more of the true raw emotions afield when it’s a kids first deer, first anything that true raw emotion is what we all can relate to and remember why we love learned to hunt so much.

Very happy you guys spent time talking on the CWD situation in northern Illinois. I've seen myself how sharpshooting has ruined this part of the state. I manage my farm just to lose deer to sharpshooters across the road on DNR owned land. Even our local game warden disagrees with the practice but explained to me how their hands are tied by the state biologists.

I'm kind of surprised you guys have taken to Chris Brackett so well. If you think about it, his mistake is exactly what you guys have been concerned about recently. Using a muzzleloader he has never shot before, sending zingers at multiple bucks...this is the mentality that causes us to not have any mature deer to hunt. People taking more than their fair share of our limited resources. I personally don't have anything against the guy. People can change. I'm glad he's found the light of Jesus.

This was cool to see him spill it all out there. That’s the first time I heard the full story because all most of us had before was the clips of him shooting and yelling at the camera man or whatever. I totally get the burnt out part with hunting.. when it starts to feel like a stressful job, it’s time to knock it down a notch or take a break. I’ve stressed myself out so bad that it made me sick not killing a big buck or even worse, missing 2 giant bucks the last 2 seasons. It’s the worst and takes all the fun out of the sport

Absolutely love this channel, been watching for a while. I have to say 2 things that really stood out was the fact he compared his state of mind of killing a deer to a veteran's mind who went to war and had to take a human life. That was the first thing that shocked me, they are nothing alike. The second being that he compared his "keeping quiet or not admitting to the charges" as basically the same as when the people condemned Jesus to the cross. The absolute gall he had to say that.
But again love the channel and love the platform you give people to speak on these topics.

His shows were entertaining and he's still entertaining. Alot of people would have done the same thing as him with the pressure of the industry and the amount of money that was at stake. Another great podcast guys. Glad to hear Chris's side of the story. Love him or hate him Chris Bracket is a bad mofo arrow affliction was one of the all time great hunting shows and definitely one of my favorites. Chris seems to be truly humbled and i believe his apology is sincere. Im not gonna lie I liked booya Chris Bracket he was brash and a bit arrogant but he backed it up with his hunting and archery shooting skills thats undeniable. Some people dont care for John Eberhard because hes a bit arrogant but as a Michigan hunter I have the utmost respect for him because i know how tough it is to kill mature bucks in heavily pressured states. Its not being cocky if you back it up. Most of the people hating on guys like this aren't even remotely close to being on their level of skill. Gotta give respect where respect is due regardless of whether someone is humble cocky or somewhere in between. I look forward to seeing more from Chris in the future. Great job again guys keep up the good work 👍. BOOYAH 😁

Should’ve done it long ago but I am now a subscriber!!!
    Thank you guys very much.
I guess I had forgotten how bad I wanted to hear this. I grew up in a time when Arrow Affliction took the place of my Saturday morning cartoons. Also I have only hunted with a bow and arrow since I watched the very first episode. I was living my journey as a hunter kinda at the same time as Chris. I can’t even fathom my journey being broadcast to any and everybody the way his was. I’d probably still be in jail just for the crap I didn’t mean to do. Now as I grew we probably didn’t stay on the same path but that’s ok. He helped guide me onto this path where I can’t imagine hunting over bait or hunting with a crossbow or “party hunting “ or a ton of other legal stuff that I feel beneath me morally as a hunter. However, I don’t hold any negative feelings to people that choose to do these things. We’re all on our on path and I thank god every day to be blessed with this beautiful sickness we call hunting.
I want to thank you guys for this episode that somebody should have done way before now.
And I wanna thank Bracket for way more than I can say in this comment!!
Also if you can message me with some info I would love to hire you to consult on my farm in south central Georgia! I know it’s a little far from home for you but since your a huge part of the journey to me purchasing it to begin with I feel like it’d be a fitting full circle kinda thing.

For the talk about the sharp shooters and “cwd control” and what not, the agenda I believe is they eventually want that resource of wild game gone. Then it’s one less thing us hunters have going for us for independent food source, and also too have firearms. “No need too hunt if there’s no wild game, so don’t need a firearm”. That’s always been a big thought about it but oh well, most people would say eh tinfoil hat or something dumb.

I didn’t know who Chris was until I looked him up on google and saw old pictures of him. I don’t know how to feel about this one, I wish you guys would have set the tone right from the beginning and called him to the mat when he said the old bullshit line of “it’s my property I’ll kill a deer how I want too as long as it’s legal” just because it becomes legal doesn’t mean it’s a good thing for the resource. So that made me think he was kinda a dink for that line but all in all I can’t say I like or dislike him but regardless I appreciate the conversation. Great pod boys!
