Still watching, but as usual this is a top notch product review. One thing that I think EF could improve on is adding utility to those smart batteries. The competing product from Bluetti has expansion batteries that have DC power ports. That's a significant feature when you consider the cost of these devices. If the main Delta Pro unit goes down you end up with expansion paper weights. EF has made slight gains in the customer service department, but imagine dropping $$,$$$ on the full setup and have to send the main pro unit back for a warranty service. With Bluetti you can still use 12V devices (like an inverter), USB devices, etc. Maybe they'll add ports to future smart batteries.
I'm guessing in the future it's just a software change & maybe a new cord for it to be able to charge it by itself. Because if you need the main unite that means there isn't an inverter in it like the Bluetti extra batteries.

Thanks for all the great info!! I purchased an Ecoflow pro and a battery with 2 400 solar panels. Using two Eco pro deltas at 3.6 K and a battery what is the wattage that you can input? I heard that when using a double voltage plug, you cannot plug anything into the regular 110 outlet… You have to plug it into the double voltage plug… how does that work? With an Eco pro double voltage plug, and a battery all connected… When using solar on serial 400 panels, how does the charge work and what Eco pro do you insert it into? How does the dispersement work with this set up? If I have the same set up when I go to an EV station do I have to take all three of them and charge them?
Thank you Carlos it really all depends on what you're going to do if you have to Delta Pros you can get a double voltage Hub and then you have the ability to actually combined both Delta Pros and get 240 volt and 7200w. But again this will only work for 240v applications. I love the extra battery because it doubles the capacity to 7200Wh, take a look at this video and you'll see that I connected to Delta Pros using the double voltage Hub it's a nice little demo it was fun to make ua-cam.com/video/WUitxUq9gsM/v-deo.html
No Costco ones aren't different, they use to be when the delta pro 1st launched. Now the same. Delta 2 max and Delta Pro have the same battery technology now.
I would like to know a little more… first in the event of a total power 5 hour outage would the pro last that long with a propane furnace, two French door fridges, I toaster oven and well pump operation. Please guesstimate the wattage. Even dirt is younger than me.
Hi, Hope all is well? Unplugged Delta Pro & Smart extra battery last night to test how long they would run my stuff. After 16 hrs, they shut down. Upon plugging them back into wall outlet, they immediately started charging, but AC “Pass Thru” was inop. I’ve got all of the AC settings set to “Stay On”. Any idea what I’ve done wrong? I’d thought that this issue was fixed in a previous Firmware update? If I was out of town and we’d experienced an outage, none of my devices would have been powered afterwards. Thanx!
I have new EF Delta Max 2 I was investigating if I could attach a delta Pro add on battery to my Delta Max 2. I think the Delta Max 2 add on is 2040 wats at $1399 and the Delta Pro at 3600 watts is $1899 - thanks
You can charge it using solar, while using appliances. The max solar input for one DP is 1600 watts. So, if your appliances are using more than that, it will use battery power.
To my knowledge, this will not work with rooftop solar, but you can actually connect solar to each delta pro up to 1600 W using panels. EcoFlow also released some rigid panels and you can probably put on your roof, but I’ve never done that myself.
If connected to smart home panel and you have solar on the roof already can the Pro use the excess mains voltage from the solar into charging the pro instead of hooking up a couple of separate panels for the pro? IE can it be set in the app? as for me it’s difficult to mount any panels just for this purpose.

Question…… would like to use a unit like this ( Pro ) fora we’ll pump. It would be a 220 v and they say that I need 5500 cranking ability. Can this do that ?
It comes with the xt60 / Mc4 so just buy the length you need and I would go with 10 awg, I should have had Links in our video description also if you like. You can also get 8 awg to be safe if you are going to use up to 1600w of solar
I just bought a Delta Pro 3600w unit. The main reason I bought it was to run my pellet stove during blackouts. My pellet stove Electrical Rating is 115 VAC, 60 Hz, Start 4.1 Amps, Run 1.1 Amps. I am concerned if the Delta Pro is ok to start and run the pellet stove. Worried that I could damage the Delta Pro on stove start up because of the amount of draw the stove produces. Don`t know much about electrical stuff. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
The information you provided in general the Delta Pro will run the unit but you need to find out your startup wattage or your surge wattage from the manufacturer. I don't see it being an issue since the Delta Pro has a surge capability of 7,200 Watts But better to be safe than sorry I hope it goes well
I appreciate your video and have a question that I have not seen answered here or elsewhere. The Ecoflow Delta pro has a 30 amp output plug that they specify for rv. Can that plug be used on a manual transfer box, or do you have to use the 1500 dollar smart panel? Of course you can see the advantage of not having to use their over priced box. Thanks and any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks Ron I haven't tried that but check out the video below and I would also recommend emailing EcoFlow and see what they say, the video below is a double voltage Hub that they offer that cost much less and might be your solution but that requires two Delta Pro, support@ecoflow.com video is below ua-cam.com/video/WUitxUq9gsM/v-deo.html
This is a great question. I too have an existing twist lock 30amp generator input to my home but was disappointed to see it requires 2x delta pro (plus the accessory to combine them) to output 240v at 30amp into my existing setup
Hi Ron, Yes, that plug is how my manual transfer switch is connected to my Delta Pro. Electrician mounted the (included w/Reliance Transfer Switch) recepticle that’s wired to transfer switch next to my Delta Pro and used the heavy green cable to connect the two. I believe that switch came w/25’, but I ordered shorter 15’ from Amazon. Bert
Hi, I live in Norway, so the Delta pro in the European version doesn’t have that 30A output in the front. It has 4 230v regular wall outlet. I have a small cabin and want to hook it up when I am there. The cabin is wired with about 7 or 8 wall sockets and all the wires are going to a panel. How can I hook up the delta pro to that to juice up all those wall outlets? Thanks 😊
They make a double voltage hub but that’s only if you’re running 240 V appliances I’m not sure if they make one for your country but you would need to probably get Electrician involved
I have a couple of questions. 1) I have a 10000 watt dual fuel generator and a transfer switch. My worry is long term power. With the Delta pre with a extra battery. Is it possible if necessary (Florida's rainy seasons) can I use my gas generator to charge the unit if solar issues like rain? This would save on fuel, I'm looking to only keep my 2 fridges and freezer and chest freezer running. 2)can I plug the Pro into my transfer switch. I hate extensions cords all over house. 3)the reason I. Interested in charging from generator is during day I won't be inside so AC is not an issue. But at night!! I have a portable 10000 btu AC that will cool our emergency room in about 20 minutes and has thermostat shutting off when it hits temp desired. 76 degrees heating? I just use an extra blanket lol Any help would be appreciated, just trying to back up my back ups. Seeing as fuel has become an issue.
If you use a gas generator it needs to be the inverter type that has a pure sine wave outlet that you can plug the delta pro into. Make sure it has a pure sine wave outlet. I’m sure you can use a transfer switch with the Delta pro but you probably wanna work with an electrician. I use a smart home panel ua-cam.com/video/DsHOvAFnYak/v-deo.html I’ve also tested the double voltage hub which might be an option for your electrician but you will need 2 delta pro ua-cam.com/video/WUitxUq9gsM/v-deo.html

Its not really affordable HOWEVER I truly appreciate YOU for sharing this video because I have learned so much I am a fan now but is there anything that or way something just as good but affordable?
Thank you for watching the video. I’m glad it helped. Now the word affordable is very different for many people., so I think it’s important to understand your needs before you make a purchase. Because if you buy a power station that doesn’t meet your needs, you’re gonna be very disappointed. There are many different sizes and a few companies that make good ones.
Great review. Can someone please advise as I'm unsure on energy flow:- if you are using the 3.6kWh EcoFlow Delta Pro to power a 600w device, will it power it for 6 hours (3600w / 600w = 6)? Thank you.
The current unit Costco sells should be the same as the one you can get directly from EcoFlow. When EcoFlow launched the pro on Kickstarter that unit had some additional benefits back then.
Does anyone have inside knowledge when the double voltage hub and smart home controller will be available? Or have a double voltage hub you want to sell? I don't see it in stock on ecoflow's website and customer support has no idea, sort of like the cybertruck.
Hi Bob, Put your notifications on for our channel, as items become available I will and have posted. I will include links in the post and update our videos on these products.
From the Ecoflow website it looks like you can get more power with the smart generators replacing one battery on each Pro unit. What are your thoughts on that? I already have a backup generator but am intrigued at balancing the power demand via two smaller generators vs two extra batteries. As someone shopping around I'm not sure if I should buy the double pro with 4 batteries or with 2 batteries and 2 smart generators.
Yes this thing is massive. Even with wheels I don't see this being very portable for a lot of people. I would not want to carry this around for camping or tailgating or to a construction site. If I leave this in my basement when not needed it would not be ideal to carry it upstairs when needed. Seems like it needs a home where it stays in one place. Too heavy and too expensive but it is really nice.
I believe all the 1200W solar “early release” models have been sold so the Costco units are same as other sources now. But please check specs or check with EF yourself.
Does my phone need to be a certain specification because I cannot get the app to run. Every time I try to do a firmware update, which I have to do at the start, the app crashes. I've tried everything. Reinstall three times. Rebooting phone and reinstall. shutting down other apps running in the background. Just cannot get it to run. The phone I have is a Samsung Galaxy J6 32gb running Android v10.
It is an older phone but it sounds like it meets most of the specs I would try it on a tablet if you have one the app works on iPad iPhone and android tablets also

Great detailed video. Can you do a video comparison of just using two DP, not for the 240v, just as an expandable battery. I'm torn between buying another DP to increase battery capacity, or just buying the extra battery. Thanks
If I were you, I'd get another Delta pro instead of the extra battery which is what I did. Because remember the extra battery is dead weight. You need a main unit to charge it. Having another pro doesn't have that flaw.
Why are the cords so short that go from the solar panels to the units? The Pro weighs 100 lbs, to charge it up with solar I'd have to take the unit outside..100LBS, really? Is is possible to buy a compatible cord that is 25' or maybe 50'?
what would you think of this with its new transfer switch to be safe backup for my home on well water and active sump pump? 7200 W surge seems nice enough for it to work?
I'm trying to charge my Delta Pro in my semi truck with 3000W inverter while truck is running but every time I set charging over 200W it overload. Can you please tell me if there is any solution to charge faster? Thank you in advance!

Question: I'm new to power stations and have been using an inverter generator when my power goes out. I would love to have this to avoid gas and the noise from the gas generator. Can I connect this to the EcoFlow to charge it while it's being used to power the house? I realize the power station would only last a couple hours by itself. Would it still take a couple hours to charge this as it would be plugged into an AC outlet?
Yes, you can charge the DP with your generator. As to how long it would take to charge the DP, depends on the battery percentage and the incoming current to charge it. You can still power other things, while charging the DP. You just have to make sure you don't exceed the running watts of your generator.
@@Pk3_Garage Thanks for your quick reply. My inverter generator is 2000 watts. The Echoflow is more than that. Will it still work? I really don't want to buy another generator again.
The Ecoflow DP inverter is rated at 3600 running watts and up to 7200 surge watts. So, yes it has worked very well during my testing. The DP is just a power station, that stores power for later use. You can connect solar panels to it, up to 1600 watts. In a blackout situation, we will use both our generator and DP. The DP will be used as our primary power source. Our generator will be used, to recharge the DP, while suppling power to our entire house. If we need to run the AC, the generator will have to be used.
@@Pk3_Garage Hi and thanks again for your kind reply. Again I'm not an electrical engineer so you're saying it's okay to connect my 3000-watt inverter generator to this Ecoflow 3600-watt battery pack. If the pack is pretty low say 25% the generator would probably run on high to charge the pack then. Right?
Hi Joseph It does have the capability I’ve never done that test because I’ve never had access to an RV. I would recommend just emailing EcoFlow. They are pretty responsive and they can give you any precautions just in case. Support@ecoflow.com let me know how it goes.

Hi not sure how long the delta will take if it was plugged into the max or the pro AC outlet it’s based on the max charging rate, what wattage do you get when you plug it into an AC outlet? That’s what you should get. The max and pro both have DC input limits when charging off a car charging, none of them can handle 90amps, pro says it can handle Support 12V/24V battery, 8A

you're enjoying it greatly. I got 2x Delta Pro and 1x extra battery to provide myself a 10800Wh backup capabilty for home blackouts and I enjoy the feeling that blackouts can't hurt me anymore.

Your cons are understandable but it is what it is, new tech batterirs are heavy and longer cables have more loss so compared to others it's just how it is Love your videos.

This would be great for truck drivers who want to save gas while sleeping. Might need to extend the battery life a little bit but it's a good start!!
Add solar also to recharge, also check out the delta max, see my Delta comparison video on our channel
Ok but can this power and run washer and dryer? Want this for off grid use
120v electric not 240v otherwise you will have to get this for 240v for off grid use

If I have the same set up when I go to an EV station do I have to take all three of them and
charge them?
Outstanding descriptive video. I’ll save it for my reference. What do you recommend? Two DP or 1DP plus 1 extra battery. Thanks
I saw the Delta PRo listed by Time Magazine as one of the best inventions of 2021.
I included that in the beginning of the video as well
Are the COSTCO ones different in general? Am really considering one of these vs Delta 2 Max + extra D2 MAX smart batteries over time. Thoughts?
Thanx!
I’d recommend contacting EcoFlow support@ecoflow.com
@@TechMadeEzy Thanx, I have done so. In the mean time, since I’m connected by Wi-Fi, if I’m NOT at home, could I turn the ASC switch on thru the App?

I have new EF Delta Max 2 I was investigating if I could attach a delta Pro add on battery to my Delta Max 2. I think the Delta Max 2 add on is 2040 wats at $1399 and the Delta Pro at 3600 watts is $1899 - thanks
Hi Not possible sorry, the connectors are different.
anyway to solar charge these things and run appliances at same time??
You can charge it using solar, while using appliances. The max solar input for one DP is 1600 watts. So, if your appliances are using more than that, it will use battery power.
can i then power my grid tied solar set up if grid goes down?
To my knowledge, this will not work with rooftop solar, but you can actually connect solar to each delta pro up to 1600 W using panels. EcoFlow also released some rigid panels and you can probably put on your roof, but I’ve never done that myself.
@@TechMadeEzy cool ty
If connected to smart home panel and you have solar on the roof already can the Pro use the excess mains voltage from the solar into charging the pro instead of hooking up a couple of separate panels for the pro? IE can it be set in the app? as for me it’s difficult to mount any panels just for this purpose.
I'd ask EcoFlow that but I will tell you the pro has a limit of 1600w 150v and 15a. Here is their email support@ecoflow.com
Can power independence run a household, fridge, ligts, washing machine etc for off grid living?
Yes with the right setup and plenty of solar

what cable(s) do I need to hook up 2 solar panels to the Ecoflow pro??
It comes with the xt60 / Mc4 so just buy the length you need and I would go with 10 awg, I should have had Links in our video description also if you like. You can also get 8 awg to be safe if you are going to use up to 1600w of solar
Excellent review as always

I don't see it being an issue since the Delta Pro has a surge capability of 7,200 Watts
But better to be safe than sorry I hope it goes well
Thanks for the reply, I will check it out. @@TechMadeEzy
Let me know how it goes
Hi..can you run the dryer on the pro
240v dryer? Yes with 2 delta pro and a double voltage Hub see this video ua-cam.com/video/WUitxUq9gsM/v-deo.html
Thanks Ron
I haven't tried that but check out the video below and I would also recommend emailing EcoFlow and see what they say, the video below is a double voltage Hub that they offer that cost much less and might be your solution but that requires two Delta Pro, support@ecoflow.com video is below

Bert
By the way, I’m only powering 125v circuits.
Thanks 😊
Is the ECOFlow smart home panel available to purchase?
@@TechMadeEzy not yet, but soon. Is there any other way?
@@TechMadeEzy I tried to send a link to there website but didn’t work.
They make a double voltage hub but that’s only if you’re running 240 V appliances I’m not sure if they make one for your country but you would need to probably get Electrician involved
@@TechMadeEzy thanks, i am definitely getting an electrician involved 😊 everything here 240v
It's heavy too. I just received mine a copy of days ago.
Lifep04 batteries are heavy for sure but they have soo many more cycles

Can you test in on a reverse cycle airconditioner, run it on cool air and heating?
Thank you, your best bet is to find out what the wattage requirement is to see if it can run it.
What about the welding, how did that work out ?
Hi Cam it Did fine on that test

You can always buy an add on battery if you need to also which is nice
When you charge to 100% what percentage of storage is left after 1 month ? Want to understand the storage retention ability.
Haven’t tested that
It loses about 1% every 3-5 days :)
I just use an extra blanket lol
Any help would be appreciated, just trying to back up my back ups.

Thank you.
Alan you are posting everywhere 😎
See my response on your other post
Can you use it while it's charging via outlet or solar?
Yes that’s called pass-through charging
What makes the Costco units specs different?
The current unit Costco sells should be the same as the one you can get directly from EcoFlow. When EcoFlow launched the pro on Kickstarter that unit had some additional benefits back then.
Costco no longer carries Ecoflow; they now sell Geneverse producs. Most likely because their customer's service is subpar or not to Costco standards.
I’ve seen Costco bring back ecoflow from time to time depending on sales and promotions I don’t think they consistently sell the product
Nice review! ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Thanks Dan
Does anyone have inside knowledge when the double voltage hub and smart home controller will be available? Or have a double voltage hub you want to sell? I don't see it in stock on ecoflow's website and customer support has no idea, sort of like the cybertruck.

Hi Al, what’s your latest and greatest review/recommendations for a whole house (or as close as you can get) solar powered generator please?
Hi how big is your home?
@ Hi Al, with a finished basement it’s about 4000 sq ft. Thank you,
What’s your budget?
From the Ecoflow website it looks like you can get more power with the smart generators replacing one battery on each Pro unit. What are your thoughts on that? I already have a backup generator but am intrigued at balancing the power demand via two smaller generators vs two extra batteries. As someone shopping around I'm not sure if I should buy the double pro with 4 batteries or with 2 batteries and 2 smart generators.
Start off with 2 DP and 2 Batteries for now, then make the decision after
That thing has it all. Sometimes people buy smaller units and wish they had gone bigger. No one wishes for more than 100lbs. !:- )
True
Yes this thing is massive. Even with wheels I don't see this being very portable for a lot of people. I would not want to carry this around for camping or tailgating or to a construction site. If I leave this in my basement when not needed it would not be ideal to carry it upstairs when needed. Seems like it needs a home where it stays in one place. Too heavy and too expensive but it is really nice.
I believe all the 1200W solar “early release” models have been sold so the Costco units are same as other sources now. But please check specs or check with EF yourself.
Is this ECOFlow DeltaPro sold in Sweden?
Hi, I'm not sure have you tried going to the EcoFlow website?
Does my phone need to be a certain specification because I cannot get the app to run. Every time I try to do a firmware update, which I have to do at the start, the app crashes. I've tried everything. Reinstall three times. Rebooting phone and reinstall. shutting down other apps running in the background. Just cannot get it to run. The phone I have is a Samsung Galaxy J6 32gb running Android v10.
It is an older phone but it sounds like it meets most of the specs I would try it on a tablet if you have one the app works on iPad iPhone and android tablets also
@@TechMadeEzy Thanks for getting back to me. I only had 8gb of storage left and very little memory. I am freeing up both so will let you know if and when successful.
That might be the issue
@@TechMadeEzy Fixed. App up and running. No idea what it was. Just persisted and eventually the beast connected! Phew!!

Thanks for the video. I’m getting the delta in a couple days which will take 400 watts max solar power,, should I buy the 400watt panel from eco ? Thanks
That's up to you Jim, or you can get 200w panels also, thanks for watching
Great detailed video. Can you do a video comparison of just using two DP, not for the 240v, just as an expandable battery. I'm torn between buying another DP to increase battery capacity, or just buying the extra battery. Thanks
You can't connect 2 together and use them for normal appliances. The double voltage hub connects them for 240v appliances now 110/120
If I were you, I'd get another Delta pro instead of the extra battery which is what I did. Because remember the extra battery is dead weight. You need a main unit to charge it. Having another pro doesn't have that flaw.
You can also charge the extra battery using the smart generator
Why are the cords so short that go from the solar panels to the units? The Pro weighs 100 lbs, to charge it up with solar I'd have to take the unit outside..100LBS, really? Is is possible to buy a compatible cord that is 25' or maybe 50'?
Yes, always use a longer solar cable, I'd recommend 10awg, we should have some links in the description for solar cables
what would you think of this with its new transfer switch to be safe backup for my home on well water and active sump pump? 7200 W surge seems nice enough for it to work?
You're probably going to need two Delta pros and a double voltage hub and probably special adapters depending on how they connect
I'm trying to charge my Delta Pro in my semi truck

Right?
You can and even better use solar panels, it can handle a good amount of wattage, see the specs in the video for more info. Thanks for watching

Hi not sure how long the delta will take if it was plugged into the max or the pro AC outlet it’s based on the max charging rate, what wattage do you get when you plug it into an AC outlet? That’s what you should get.
The max and pro both have DC input limits when charging off a car charging, none of them can handle 90amps, pro says it can handle
