  • In this video, I will tie a top and bottom white perch rig using twisted dropper loops. I prefer this rig because it prevents the hook from getting caught on the main line of the leader and it has minimum hardware to snag grass and debris.

Great video but 20lb mono doesn't fit through the 6 or 4 size hook holes after you make the twist knot for the hook. Guess I need to try 15lb

Nice tutorial! What time of year are you most likely to catch a limit of perch? I might give this rig a try around late February/March

Anytime from now through March is a good time for bigger perch and limits.

or a uni knot for the swivel but i dont see why you could not use a palomar?? you realise you only need to put the swivel and not the whole rig through the palomar loop right?, and a small peg float on the top just below the swivel is also a good idea in case your line aint always taught it keeps the bait suspended off the bottom, other things are you failed to explain is that the line that wraps through the loop need to be opposite from the line that created the loop so when you make a loop by the tag line it should be the longer line that wraps through that loop and not the tag line , also you did not show that making the other dropper is more difficult since you need to send the whole rig through one of the loop this time
