Reactionize - She's Too Tough - Reacting and Reviewing to Every Single Def Leppard Song!

- Welcome to Reactionize - our quest to react and review every single Def Leppard track! It's a long, fun journey, so we hope you'll stay with us.
Our next song 'She's Too Tough", is a song written by Joe Elliott that never made Hysteria or Adrenalize and ended up on the Retro Active album, an album showcasing b-sides and covers that still managed to sell in the millions. There is even a cover of this by Helix from their 1987 Wild In the Streets album that is really good and worth checking out.
Did 'She's Too Tough' deserve a place on Hysteria or Adrenalize? Are you a fan of this tune, or is this your first time hearing it? Comment below and we'll be sure to comment back!
Cheers, enjoy Reactionize, and as always...ROCK ON!

Y’all both need to get an interview with the band! You would kill it. This song rocks - as does the B-side demo version!
We'd absolutely love to... and definitely something we're looking into. Hopefully, one day! Thanks so much for the kind words, and Happy New Year to you!! ~A
This song actually made it onto the Japanese release of Adrenalize, along with the electric version of Miss You In a Heartbeat.
Also, I actually heard this song playing in one of the dining halls of my alma matter as a student, which was pretty cool!
Amazing how good a collection of b-sides from them is! This is a masterpiece album for so many of their peers. And, honestly, I love the electric versions of Heartbeat and Two Steps better than the acoustic at times!
First time I heard thar song was a 5 second snippet as an ad on radio for their show at US Air arena or the Cap Center and I was blown away and had to track it down because it hadn't been released yet, I put this in their top 30 all time
Throwing back memories by mentioning the old Cap Center! Saw Lep there as well! I, also love this song and first heard it as a b-side and instantly wondered why it didn't make the final cut! Love it and believe it could have found a home on Hysteria or Adrenalize! Cheers, John ~A
Thanks for loving and listening to my music 🎶 i really appreciate that a lot , I would love to know you more if you don’t mind 😘♥️
Glad to see y’all back , been a while since the last one ! Always like this one !
Glad to be back...the holidays and a few technical issues kept us out for a few weeks, but we're hopefully back twice a week for the foreseeable future. Yeah, loved this one, too...always curious as to the what if's with this band because this is just as radio-friendly as anything they've released. Cheers, Brian, and I hope you had a wonderful holiday! ~A
Awesome video as always! Great song very much underrated tune! like you guys said could've easily been on Hysteria but they had so much already. Love this song kick ass!
Rock on, and thanks for the kind words! So here's a curve ball for ya... if She's Too Tough makes either Hysteria or Adrenalize, which song would you take off? I should have posed this question in the video, LOL! Cheers friend and Happy New Year ~A
@@2TEN90 Cheers and Happy New Year to you guys as well! I love both albums and all songs on them. If I were to pick 1 from each. I'd pick Excitable-Hysteria and Make Love Like a Man-Adrenalize
At the 4:35 mark, it’s Phil’s solo. Steve did not play on this song as it never got past Joe’s demo during Hysteria.
Sorry to be a know-it-all.
Hey man, you learn something new everyday...bring your Leppard knowledge, it's most appreciated here, LOL! You a fan of this song, Adam? Any other songs you're really looking forward to us doing? Cheers and Happy New Year, friend! ~A
@@2TEN90 I dig this song, always have. I am looking forward to the review on “Only The Good Die Young” to hear your takes on it. It’s a different song, but I really dig it (spoiler).
You have already reviewed some of my favorites already (Gods of War, Desert Song, and Wasted)!
Cheers and Happy New Year fellas!
@@adamschwab9948 Awesome, can't wait to get to it, and I thought their self-titled album was great in general! Happy New Year to you as well!
The Hysteria writing sessions are such an embarrassment of riches. So many great songs that didn’t make the album. Would have loved to have heard this song on Adrenalize. Adrenalize had the unenviable task of following two of the greatest rock albums of all time.
Couldn't agree more... not sure which of our commenters said it, but it would have been great for Hysteria to be a double album like 'Use Your Illusion' by GnR. So many good songs that actually good have charted. We haven't even gotten to 'Ring of Fire' or 'I Wanna Be Your Hero' yet! Hope you had a great holiday and New Year, George! ~A
Happy 2024 to both of you!
aaah back to mid day def leppard breaks from work.
Ha! Yeah, sorry for the brief hiatus during the break, but we are trying to get back to two a week in 2024! Did you like this song? Always love to hear what others think about some of the deeper cuts. Cheers~A
