There might be a conflict brewing between Thrawn and the nightsisters but will they go their separate ways in the future? Catch the full streams & videos here: / battlefrontupdates
@@tbd3058 - I've heard the whole "Lawful Neutral" argument and it is bull. Thrawn *is* evil. Indeed, he's *worse* than many Imperial flag officers because he actually takes the time to study the people and cultures he's about to rain hellfire down on.

I also caught the side eye from the Great Mothers after Thrawn ordered the destruction of the temple. The scene was even funnier the second time I watched the finale.
The nightsisters are only loyal to their sisters and will probably end their alliance with Thrawn as soon as possible but Thrawn will want to keep using their gifts to aid in his fight against the republic. Thrawn could become a macbeth sort of Character who goes from cunning and smart to reliant on magic and prophecies to ensure victory. The bendu did forsee his defeat to Ezra way before it happened. I think Thrawn is starting to get paranoid about fate and wants the nightsisters around to ensure he will be able to prevent any defeats. Soon their will be a cost for his use of their magic, right now the great mothers aiding Thrawn, benefits themselves but soon it wont.
I think Thrwan will try maintain his alliance with them as long as possible. Twice he suffered major losses due to unexpected and or underestimated force users, I imagine having them working with him is his way of preventing a repeat.
Yes, especially the Chiss. Reforming the New Republic into a new empire based on his vision (order and stability; no xenophobia or nepotism) would mean safety and a powerful ally to his people.
either back to life or as a final resting place. We still really don't know what the Nightsisters were wanting to escape from on Peridea. Was it the Zeffo or some Zeffo relic (like in Bad Batch) or something more powerful like a Mortis-like God or Abeloth-like being...
The Mothers seem to be filling in Joruus C’Baoth’s role in Heir to the Empire. He was a (clone of a) Jedi Master gone mad and turned to the Dark Side who allied with Thrawn, using his Battle Meditation and other Force powers to aid the fleet while Thrawn helped him target Luke. He ended up having his own goal of ruling the galaxy. I originally thought Baylan was the new Joruus but he seems to be doing his own thing. The Mothers may use their magic to help pull off some trickery in some of Thrawn’s battles, but also their new Dathomir may be their long term plan for dominating the galaxy/the Force.
I think this might just be another example of Thrawn being politically inept, something which caused him a lot of problems during his time in the Empire. It's more than likely he legitimately sees the Nightsisters as allies and wants them to prosper in a position of importance within the new Empire seeing as he's more than likely going to make Dathomir his base of operations, at least for the time being, but in making the best tactical decisions he fails to make the best political decisions as well.
Ezra said Thrawn awakened them so presumably they were laying dormant in the catacombs and Thrawn found a way to get them up, believing he needed allies. Thrawn believed the jedi where foolish for not weaponizing the force, always holding back their own power and now he has found a group who use the force as he would, to ensure victory, no matter the cost.
I don't get why they just glaze over this new galaxy as a baron one off plot point to trap the main characters. I mean, there's so much possibility here with the potential of a new dominant species to counter the human controlled main galaxy. There could be a much more advanced civilization that has evolved separate from the main galaxy's Republic and Empire. What if the two galaxies don't get along? There could be a lot to unpack here but we literally know nothing other than Peridia is there with witches for some reason.
Two evil factions whose goals overlap in the short-term. But the long-term is a different story.
Thrawn is not evil

Neither are evil besides the stormtroopers who follow Thrawn.

Well the force and all the goofy unpredictable shenanigans it does, is practically Thrawns only real weakness.
What I got a kick out of were the subtle cracks in Thrawn's stoic façade as he kept getting bad news. At one point you even got a slight eye twitch.
I think Thrwan will try maintain his alliance with them as long as possible.

Isn’t Thrawn doing this for the Chiss as well as the Empire?
Yes.
He sent imperial officers to the Chiss ascendency early on as a Grand Admiral for example his long time friend Eli Vanto who by now is still there.
Yes, especially the Chiss. Reforming the New Republic into a new empire based on his vision (order and stability; no xenophobia or nepotism) would mean safety and a powerful ally to his people.
Yes but also no.
If Thrawn takes over the Empire he will be a massive boon to the Chiss but that doesn’t mean ego and ambition aren’t in the mix.
Well Thrawn's allience to the Ciss is a secret
I’m thinking the cargo could be the bodies of lots of night sisters from generations. And bringing them to Dathomer either to bring them back to life?

They might play the role that the Noghri played in the original Thrawn trilogy. They’ll be convinced to betray him.
I puked with how funny this is
why were those 3 women in another galaxy if they are not buddies with thrawn?
and what cargo is he bringing back with him ? mummified witches?
