Most Battlefront gamers have never held a real weapon, have never been in a life threatening situation let alone actual combat, have the luxury of seeing around corners in 3p, have the luxury of being able to fight after being shot several times in the body, all while sitting in an air conditioned building with a controller in their hands.
This is just the worst....their entire distinct sound is because of encrypted channels to talk to each other. Secondly these are the best the Empire has to offer yet they're no better than Stormtroopers here, and lastly their visors have the ability to see through an impairment like smoke, that's kind of the whole point of them....I can't believe how bad they butchered these guys.
Considering none of the characters knew what they were saying it’s safe to say that is audience perspective, they did have scrambled voices to the characters just not to us so we understand them, like in movies when aliens aren’t speaking English but to us viewers they do so we understand them, I believe halo did that with elites at some point, as for power level they only really get seen fighting Jedi and the likes of saw Guerrera who’s fought them constantly, like look how weak mandos look in TCW but that’s only cause they’re seen fighting each other and the best of the best clones, and in s3 finale until bendu showed up the empire won
Also at 2:45 look how clear the voice through the com link on the receivers end is, she sounds completely different because on the death troopers side it’s scrambled still but the comlink unscrambles it for the officer
Would it have been cool if death troopers were kept mysterious by having them always speak in garbled noises? Maybe, but it would’ve been annoying having to decipher conversations between an officer and a DT. It would be like watching Luke talk to R2, just hearing him go “hm, good point” and being left to infer what the droid said to him. I guess it could’ve been a fun challenge for the writers but I think they decided it would’ve limited them somehow.
Theory: The death troopers on board the cargo transport are just regular storm troopers with normal equipment painted black. The kyber crystal onboard was meant to lure rebel Jedi and the guards had to look important as to not appear suspicious. It would not make sense for regular storm troopers to be guarding a kyber crystal. Thrawn probably planned the mission after finding out about about Kanan knowing exactly where kyber crystals were stored amongst 3 ships in season 1. The size of the crystal ensures that transporting it would be somewhat difficult or dangerous and the prisoners were on the ship to ensure that the rebels did not try to destroy the unstable crystal. What Thrawn did not expect was for Saw to be there to accept civilian casualties. This theory is dumb, but I’m doing the best I can to make sense of things.
One thing that always makes me laugh is that, we’re supposed to support the rebellion and hate the empire, yet we never see the “good guys” not automatically shoot or leave imperials aboard ships about to blow. Like, why not take some prisoners of war, maybe show the imperials that your not just savages who want to topple the government. Idk, just seems funny to me
In my opinion the Empire were the good guys. I have plenty of reasons but a big one is that they actually cared about establishing order and actually having a presence on just about all of the empires worlds and crime and corruption isn't nearly as bad during the Republic Era. Also the Republic that the rebels make is pretty much just the same as before with barely no presence on other Republic worlds other than the core worlds. Also the new republic is so incompetent even moreso than the Empire with the new republic allowing and barely doing anything about the reveal of a Empire remnant military junta just emerging to conquer and destroy the new republic not to mention desolving roughly 90% of their military.
@@adamisacomedian6344 huh???????? What???? The empire condoned slavery, made life hell if you weren’t a rich human, and the reason they cared about “order” is because Turns out being insane oppressors causes a shit ton of rebellions. What sort of awful comment is this?
The helmet thing was probably a joke they left in, but the only reason they never hit the main cast is because of plot armor, and the storm troopers let them escape the Death Star so they would lead the empire to the rebel base
I'm suprised they didn't blame Kathleen Kennedy. All the good episodes and scenes: God bless Filoni. All the bad Episodes and scenes: Kathleen Kenmedy ruined Star Wars.

You know, this is just disappointing and highlights the problems in rebels, the enemy never feel like a threat, in the clone wars the commando droids were elite troops and felt like a constant threat to our protagonists when they were on screen, whilst the rest of the droid army were incompetent the elite troops in it put Our heroes in danger and were not just another battle droid The death troops should play a similar part to the commando droids. A large threat that isn't easily defeated like an average stormtrooper. This version of death trooper's is just a re-skin of this shows depictions of stormtroopers, easily killed and humiliated with nothing special about them, just cannon fodder
Also another point is that droids could still be an incredible threat due to their numbers allowing to kill clones who didn’t have many allies at that moment
@@macvadda2318 I know witch is why I find it funny that people complain droids are useless in a 1v1 I mean they are meant to be lol, but yeah totally agree with you

@@noahmaldonado5461 bro same here but on yavin I held down a control point until I say I believe a prequels obi-wan I was so confused I didn’t see the 13 enemies rushing the point
And most gamers haven’t even had combat training
Fr I always get tons of kills with Death troopers it’s so fun
@@connorgarvin2056 thats honestly overthinking it
Would it have been cool if death troopers were kept mysterious by having them always speak in garbled noises?

I think you might be giving them too much credit (both the directors of the show and the imperials) but nice theory :)

Hera grabs a blaster, does a 180 while landing on her back and one shots them with 100% accuracy. I hate plot armor so much.
You know, this is just disappointing and highlights the problems in rebels, the enemy never feel like a threat, in the clone wars the commando droids were elite troops and felt like a constant threat to our protagonists when they were on screen, whilst the rest of the droid army were incompetent the elite troops in it put Our heroes in danger and were not just another battle droid
The death troops should play a similar part to the commando droids.

No shit droids are shit. They're supposed to be shit. They're supposed to be cheap, weak but easy to mass produced. The idea stems from the Clone wars where the Republic prefers Quality while the CIS prefers Quantity. CIS army are able to beat Clone armies and Jedi through numbers

Honestly, after watching Rogue One, I believe that Grand Admiral Thrawn should have been guarded by a much more elite and lethal force of troopers. Watching Death Troopers die so easily from an Asian guy barely moving in Rogue One made me lose all respect for the death troopers. If anything, a man of such high rank (Grand Admiral) should be guarded by Phase 3 Dark Troopers or hell, even Imperial Shadow Guards, although I think that may be a bit too extreme.
Cope.
You mean a martial artist at peace with himself tapping into the force? That's like how half of stormtroopers in this franchise die lol.
@@TheNobleFive No, that’s not who I’m talking about. 🤦♂️ I’m talking about the man who avenges him, the guy with the big ass gun. BTW this was towards end of the movie.
Considering how they are in Battlefront 2... It makes sense why these guys guard Thrawn
It doesn't matter how elite the imperial troopers are, when facing the plot armor on the rebel side, there just isn't a single way to win.

For the issue of the death troopers not being able to see through smoke, it’s plausible that Sabine is using IR Jamming smoke, which scrambles anything that uses infrared to see through obstacles. As for why their voices aren’t scrambled and their tactics generally suck, I have no explanation.

Death Troopers are bodyguards to high ranking officers of the Empire.
In the book guide it states they have an advanced HUB with Infrared and night vision with a targeting system and range finder which is that helmet camera thing that some have but the night vision and infrared are built into the helmet with the HUD that links to their weapons but all stormtroopers and Clone troopers have that but it’s not used for plot shielding

2: the smoke grenade might have doubled as an EMP grenade as its Star Wars
3 plot armour is literally in everything you can’t have an action series with main characters without it
