When the guitar comes in on The Edge at the "Watch as I go alone", absolute chills. I swear there's some kind of octave pitch shifter being used somewhere in that mix. It's like getting goosebumps but also being pumped.
- Inside - Still a really good OP. Pretty hype. I’m still not sure if it beats V8 and/or V2’s for me. Regardless, a banger.
- Checkmate - Obviously plays during the chessboard fight in ep 3. Oh my god this is still a freakin bop. So funky. And that breakdown?! When it goes full club beat?! Too good. Pretty sure it’s my favorite track.
- Chatterbox - Played during the fight with the Jabberwalker at the market in ep 5. It’s about Neo and the Cat, as you probably figured. The very start reminds me of the OP for season 1 of Promised Neverland. Anyway, the way Casey’s voice gets raspy on that last “out” is perfection. Another bop. Not surprised.
- Worthy (BMBLB pt 2) - Obviously , I don’t even have to say it, ep 6 Bee Confession. Oh my god it’s too pretty. Even uses lyrics from BMBLB from the V4 soundtrack. Ugh my feelings. Why is this so sweet? I’m dying here! I can’t! Can’t believe the Bees invented romance, and Casey and her crew created the romance song.
- Trapdoor - Episode 7 fight with Neo’s Jabberwalkers. I actually had that chorus stuck in my head all day right before the soundtrack released officially here. “I don’t feel like the Chosen One” didn’t need to go so hard. That guitar is sick.
- Quiet - This one is in episode 9, when the gang stumbles across the Genial Gems. Jaune song, after all this time. Appropriate time though. It’s very pretty. I’m not a huge fan of the extended ticking but I get it. It’s a choice.
- Guide My Way (Red Like Roses III)- Played in the finale when Ruby chooses herself. A Ruby conversation with her mother but also a couple nods toward Penny. Wow, still really hits me in my finale feels even after all this time. Did not expect that intro though when I first listened. “When will I become all of me?” “I’ll be who you were and I’ll be even more” “I’m what inspired the fairytale” Frick yeah! I’m so proud of my girl!
- The Edge - Yeah this credits song still makes me emotional. I think I’ve just so closely connected it with the finale and my feelings with that. But regardless of that, it’s just a great song. The team did not miss. There’s some speculation that it could be a Summer song, but as far as I know there’s been no confirmation.

16:39 I started shipping Blake and Yang during volume 2 when Yang was convincing Blake to go to the dance. Her wink and statement of “And if you feel like coming out tomorrow, I’ll save you a dance” was adorable.
Mine was voulume 1 when yang was trying to get rwby to make a friend. I just thought it would be cute
Ruby gets her hood pulled by the Giant Nevermore in Volume 1 and then gets rescued by Weiss.
Also, Roman caught her hood with the hookshot side of his cane at the end of Volume 2.
Jeff Williams work on the tracks for Red Vs Blue is stunning. RT has had a history of great music.
Jeff retired after Volume 8. This was all Casey and one of her bandmates from OK Goodnight
Ruby's cape held her back in volume 1 when the Nevermore threw some sharp feathers at her.
Wasn't sure where to comment this but I imagine you're aware of Rooster Teeth's shut down, which obviously affects RWBY but it seems like there is good news for its future (I'm cautiously optimistic). However, I figured I'd let you know in case you don't that there is a new mini-series called RWBY Beyond which is mini anthology stories involving Remnant during V9 and afterwards. There's only 4 sadly due to the shut down but I think they're worth reacting to, they're collectively 20 mins together. There is also the official V9 epilogue animatic, not sure if you saw the original one but they released the full version of it that is essentially a proper finale to V9 that I think is very much worth watching/reacting to (and watch before the Beyond) episodes. Also if you're interested I might have suggestions for other RWBY related stuff to react to but I might have to reflect on that some more.
Also I wonder if you might ever be interested in reacting to Red vs Blue as that's how Rooster Teeth came to be and without that show there would not have been any RWBY.
I was a bit worried when I first heard that Jeff Williams wasn't working on Volume 9's music. But as the Volume went on I realized that Casey and Martin were more than up for the challenge, creating plenty of bangers. My personal favorite song on the soundtrack is The Edge.

Chatterbox sounds more like a jaune talking to the cat then a neo song
I can definitely see it but Casey did confirm it was a Cat and Neo song, she just didn't say what parts were who so that's up for interpretation
why there isn't ost from the scene where neo goes to tree in ep 10
