No...its not his trident. It's his harmonica. I dont even know what brand of gum he chews...lol...I get it...a 3 pointed spear traditionally attributed to seafaring mythological gods
Wow, this version takes me back 10 years ago to my freshman year in college, when I first heard this acoustic version. Such a great time in my life, such a great song. It's funny how music is often what connects us to memories and/or certain events in our life. Thanks for the upload.
This is sooo great, man, it´s like hapiness through sound. And why aren´t BT bigger? Hook is from -94 but it wasn´t until I saw the Pachelbell rant that I discovered BT. They so deserve a spot among the great. Hail Popper!
I can tell y'all where this is from. I would bet strongly this is from 'Studio C'. These are acoustic sessions released by KBCO, a rock radio station out of Boulder CO. Just about every band that comes through Denver hits their studio and does a 3 to 4 song set live. The station then releases the recordings as limited edition CDs that go to charity. They are only available once a year, for one day. Once they are sold out, they are gone for life. Studio C is one of greatest repositories
Luckily, they have a website with clips and photos and downloads and the like. Go here > kbco.com/pages/studioc_kbco2.html this station (KBCO out of Boulder, CO) has the greatest morning DJ in the United States. Bret Saunders > also, you can find some of these studio C cd's available on Amazon. There are about 25 of them, 1 a year.
Sorry, but Lil Wayne's only good music is on his mixtapes when he samples other bands. I know a number of Lil Wayne fans who generally only listen to those songs. It means he can't make his own music. Dude's a fraud.
Jesus, his voice is like a harp of its own. Never heard anything like it. Tremendous ❤
I love the poetry in this song.
And Popper’s voice is beyond good.
John Popper is a vocal god in his own right.... and the Harmonica is his trident.
Nathan Ingram I totally agree

When this happens I am busting out my zombie prep kit.
The melody is Canon in D......this song is called Hook....so therefore I am "Hook"ed on "Canon in D".. the greatest version ever. :)
Please tell me you have caught the Peter Pan reference 😊
I wonder if Jack Black's vocal style was influenced by John Popper at all... the last few verses of this made me think of him.
You mean 100,000,000? Yeah, I think that's what you meant.
hahahahahahahaha did you take it serious? lol!

Genial pero creo que falta guitarra, pudo sonar más y mejor
😂 🎣
