Bio:
The a cappella group "Maul-Wurf" was founded by Fredi Koller at the beginning of January 1997. With six male and two female voices, we sang various styles of music for several years, from rock and pop to African songs, yodeling and blues. In addition to well over 100 performances at various events, there were of course also several departures and arrivals in our formation, so that from 2015 only Fredi "Maul-Wurf" "orchestrated" as a founding member. After another "departure" of a singer in 2016, we (Fredi, Jeannine, Gabi, Lea and Cico) decided to change our musical style and have been singing mainly rock'n'roll and doo-wop songs in German, English and Italian ever since.
Our songs are mostly arranged on a beautiful triad with Fredi on bass, but at the same time each of us presents his own unique lead voice.
As the "leader" of this "sometimes" chaotic vocal group, I can proudly say that we have found our own sound. But what is even more important: with these wonderful people, Jeannine, Cico, Gabi and Lea, I found not "just" singers, but friends and a musical family.
This brought me back to the 1960's. The best time of my life...................

Larry Chance & Earls would be proud. One of the greatest songs in music history for me! To me the 60s were the greatest decade for music. No gimmicks, autotune just good plain talent.

I’m the same age as you. I sang in doo-whop groups since the age of 15. Remember Then by the Earles was always a hard song to cover. Sadly, Larry Chance the lead singer from the Earles just passed last week but his wonderful songs live on and this group of folks do him justice!. Great comment, Colin!

I had just turned on my TV and went to UA-cam, and SURPRISE, I saw your video and clicked on it , and I'm glad that I did .
Your group is excellent !!!!! I always loved that song growing up, and I never went anywhere without my little transistor radio. I had to get my wife and sit her down to watch your video and listen to your vocals, I looked over at her and she was smiling and tapping her feet , and when it was over she said " wow , I didn't know that people still did songs like that anymore, that was great "!!!!! Thank you for your excellent performance , and for bringing back a lot of fond memories that I had forgotten about until I heard this song .
