I had the pleasure of seeing the Chiffons perform this song at Madison Square Garden in 1974.

I was 14 when this song came out. Doo Wop and Motown were the rage back then growing up in Kensington, Philly. A DJ named Jerry Blavet keep the Doo Wop alive well into the latter part of the sixties. My girl friend's parents took us to see The Supremes at the Latin Casino in Jersey. Yep, was a different world back then. Glad these young ladies are doing their best keeping the sounds alive. ❤️

Grew up in Montgomery County. Used to shop under thr rl in Kensington when i went to college at Temple U ('80s]. Kensington is nothing like it was.
The was a favorite song of mine from my early teens back in the early 1960’s. My family’s corner store had a juke box and kids hung out there. I remember that for 10 cents this tune was F-6 on that juke box because I played it so often. 😊

Watching the movie Flipped, I fell in love with the 60s when I was 18. I even had One Fine Day as my ring tone when I was at uni for quite some time, and it automatically plays in my head whenever I like someone who I definitely know won't like me back. Like it's an OST for my movie LOL. I feel lonely tho coz it's hard to find someone I know who feels a connection with this kind of music as much as I do. I'm 25 now and this is still one of my favorite Chiffons songs. Lovin' these girls. I just learned about them.

Fantastic. My favorite song in 8th grade. I used to sneak and turn on my radio real low so the nuns wouldn't hear it. I might have to wait an hour on the radio for the song to come on. But IT WAS WORTH IT!! ❤

Not a Chiffons song. This one's by Carole King and Gerry Goffin.
Considering they were introduced by one of the Chiffons' founding members, I'd say that's true.
@@sethgrimes Wrong. It was written by Carole King and Gerry Goffin, but it was originally recorded by the Chiffons. If you read the description, it says that one of the Chiffons' founding members introduced them here.
@@hotwax9376 That's all well and good but the original member who introduced it called it her song lol...It's Carole King and Gerry Goffin's song in its writing and likely in legal terms too...Since you're leading off with "Wrong." Respect to the performance and recordings by the Chiffons, but a little credit to the geniuses behind the writing, music and lyrics shouldn't take away from the Chiffons

From what I know nervous is common, the late Marvin Gaye suffered from stage fright according his 2nd wife Jan ,hard to believe but like he when you perform it's your stage. Wow, this video is a gem. A genuine live performance with great audio quality. The Lovettes really do deserve this high level of production. It showcases their talent which is first class all the way.
This cover by the Lovettes is definitely be up to par with the Chiffon's version, possibly even outdoing it. The singing by all 3 girls is superb. Also, check out the great bassline.
