  • Botox was approved for migraine use in 2010. It has transformed the lives of those with chronic migraine pain. I'll explain about what it feels like, do botox shots hurt, how insurance must approve it first, and if it can be used for cosmetic purposes at the same time.
The most important thing I didn’t say…How does botox for migraines work? We know it stops the nerve pain when injected into the head area, therefore reducing migraine pain. Migraine pain can definately be transformed using botox for migraines every 12 weeks as approved by the FDA and your insurance. I have photos to include of one of my botox injection visits at the headache clinic.
Botulinum toxin interferes with the transmission of the chemical substances, typically where the nerves and muscles meet. Researchers think that when the drug is injected into the muscles around the face, head and neck, it is taken up by the nerves and interferes with pain-associated neurotransmission. I'll give you my honest opinion on receiving botox for chronic migraines, and if it works. Let's talk about where the botox injections go and why that area.

Trigger warning: descriptions of awful symptoms, and lots of talk about needles.
Also, it's very clear that Lisa bears a high native intelligence, was raised well, is well-educated, experienced, and articulate.
I don't personally suffer from migraines (knock on wood)--although many I know are sufferers--but find this information interesting and useful all the same.
