My 2 cents: I’ve to admit, that I’ve fairly underestimated this synth (maybe because its predecessor, the UNO Synth didn’t convince me too much, or maybe due to its design which didn’t speak to me). But also because of the lack of fame, this one caught my interest, eventually.
The UNO Synth Pro is quite a good synth, even more now after the price drop. There are still some flaws, such as the LFO causing some zipper noise when in BPM-sync mode, but overall it offers a lot: Good sound, a vast feature set, internal memory, a good keyboard and decent effects.
I don't think it's a good synth and the market agrees with me; going for half the price att.
Sounds great to me. I bought the 1st gen Uno Synth and I love the sounds.
Sounds are Sounds, if you can't make usable music off of something like this; there's a possibility that you're talentless or maybe this synth don't fit your particular taste.
I wonder how many "synth guys" make actual music and how many just randomly and feverishly scroll through the Sounds and twiddle for hours on end.

Agreed with you on the initial impression. The original Uno Synth sounded like a lifeless lump to me and I returned it back to the store an hour after buying it so I didn't give this synth much interest but as demos started coming out and the price dropped, it gained my interest and now I'm glad I have it.
This synth it's beautiful mini monster!) lovely sound and biggest capabilities in mini box. Love it

Thanks! Tough question: Just based on the sound character, I'd even prefer the UNO SP over the Take 5 but that is a statement that depends a lot on personal preferences.
Facts are, that the Take 5 is true polyphonic whereas the UNO SP just offers three voices in paraphonic mode. Also, Take 5 has more modulation routing options and better build quality. So Take 5 offers a lot more. Fun creating sounds is given on both units.
I keep coming back to this superb musical demo. The core sound is ancient, and reminds me of the character that I love about the Polyevolver. My mind says Take 5, but my heart says this one. That patch at 3:50 definitely reminds me of the Polyevolver. Great work friend! I tried to create sounds like this on my wavestate but it just doesn’t get dirty … perhaps the digital poly and this analog paraphonic mono will be what I really need to cover all the bases. 🧐. This synth would be epic for Berlin techno, dirty ambient, thick sub basses with grit, and euro dance music I reckon. Cheers!

Hi if you have to choose between the uno synth pro (not desktop) and the minilouge xd, which one would you pick for the first hardware synthesizer and why?
Depends on what you are searching for. Both are fantastic synths but the minilogue xd is polyphon whereas the UNO Synth Pro is only paraphonic. The uno synth pro has better keys and (imo) a more organic analogue sound.
The Minilogue XD offers more flexibility with its user FX and Osc but that can also be a bit overwhelming for beginners.
Will these work with the Uno Synth Pro X?
Unfortunately the units aren't compatible. I'm working on a USPX sound pack, though.

I had no idea ambient techno was a thing! I dig the sounds out of this; reminds me a bit maybe of the cobalt mixed with the hydrasynth?

I have seen lot reviews and tried this synth. I like how it sounds, but i do not like the keyboard and button quality and design. I feel it is a bit too expensive for what it is. I think for 500$ it would be good deal.
get the desktop - i actually like the buttons because they are soft - had a electribe - not to my liking
In Australia this is selling for $1149.00 Free Vst's like Viking can do some of these sounds. Check it out.
Vikings can sound like a free instrument, analog instrument sounds as analog, you will hear the difference immediately

This synth is butt ugly. Too bad because the sound and interface and price are one of a kind. Basically it does a lot of what the Sequential Take 5 does for half the money. Apart from these two there's no other modern poly analog that's both compact and with full size keys to choose from I do believe.
Behringer deepmind could be an alternative and maybe korg Minilogue. Its keys aren’t too bad

@@leNotstrom I thought this would have been clear. But thanks for adding it. The USP is paraphonic, not polyfonic. Still you are able to play some simple chord sounds.

The Uno Synth Pro is a very different sounding synth to the Take 5. Both are excellent. The Uno is pretty wild sounding, but that’s awesome.
