Best explanitory video I've seen. I have a walking stick that can be used as a monopod so will definitely be using that. The bike connection is also a great idea. Thank you.
Great review! Mine is coming tomorrow. Does yours still work and are you still using it? I've seen a few reviews that said theirs stopped working soon after they bought it. Thanks!
Thanks for the review. When you turn off the gimbal does it turn off the GoPro. I've paired a GoPro 9 to mine and while it will turn the camera on when powered up, it does not turn it off. Trying to work out if my gimbal is faulty. Thanks.
Very well explained video. Congratulations on excellence. I only have two questions! Can I use Telesin's 3 meter stand to film like the gimbal? And the last question! the 600 degree rotation only works if you place the gimbal horizontally and rotate it all the way in POV mode.. or does it work in another mode this 600 degree rotation? A hug from the friend from Brazil.
@@Carsondreed7 its really good. I need the next model GoPro to enable WiFi connection between camera and stick so that the stick handle controls the on and off function, but really worth the purchase
Sir, very detailed and informative video, as always. Recently, I purchased the Hohem isteady pro 4 for my Gitup g3 Duo action camera, but I am unable to setup it with Bluetooth. Kindly guide me in this regard and advise me whether this device is compatible with Gitup g3 Duo or not. Thank you very much.
Oh, that's a tough one. Both those gimbals do an excellent job when it comes to steadying your action camera footage. I like the Inkee Falcon because of it's compact size and one-button selfie mode, BUT I think I'd give the edge to the iSteady Pro4 because of it's easy camera mounting bracket and I really like the fact that it is water resistant.
Hello! It's all unstable. This is my 2nd gimbal of this type, from which I expected a lot and bought another one because I thought the first series was faulty.... I use it with Gopro Hero 7 Black and it stabilizes incorrectly, it wobbles to the right and left with every movement. Stabilization is off on the gopro. I should add that I do not experience this with the Karma grip. I wanted to replace the karma grip with this one... Does anyone know of a solution to this dust problem?
Hi mate ive baught that monopod thing but how do i attach it to the go pro has when i take my out of the case its got a point on the top of it with a sort of rubber boot so i carnt use it can u tell me how to mount the go pro does the pointy thing on the top of the monopod come off
Any monopod should have a 1/4 inch bolt at the top end ( this is where any camera can be attached ) this bolt can be screwed into the 1/4 inch socket located on the bottom handle of the Hohem gimbal.
The monapod has a part on the thin end were i can screw in the gimble but on the top end like yours in the video, there is a spnge type grip and at end of that os a thread with a round rubber thing and a pointed bit so i was windering what this pointed bit is about
You can use the basic "handlebar mount" that comes with most action cameras, however for something a little more robust, I prefer a mount made of aluminum like this one: amzn.to/3PztdQr
Not sure about that. It's rated payload is 150g and Hero10 without filters weights 153g, so just the right size. Adding filters might work, but not sure. I tested with a Hero8 (weight 125g) and had no issues.
Many thanks ive done this now,but basicaly the app does what the gimble does only dif is it doesnt turn my gopro 7 on and it doesnt let me take videos or pics like yours did,so i was wondering is it cause its a gipro 7 and not a upto date 1 sayike the 9 10 or 1q that it wont do this any advice would be greatful many thanks.
@@Falconurbex You don't need the app to operate the GoPro remotely. That function is done using the camera's bluetooth pairing function. I have only done this with a GoPro 8, but I'm assuming it should work with the GoPro 7 as well.
In my test videos I had the GoPro’s stabilization turned on as well. The GoPro stabilization is excellent, but adding the Hohem gimbal gives you even better results in my opinion.
I have only tested this gimbal/app using a GoPro Hero8. According to the Hohem website specifications, It looks like the wireless camera control functions are only usable with the GoPro brand cameras.
Can an Iphone be mounted to it? it doesn't seem like it, that would be a sweet application, as most people have a "phone" tracking device thing. Maybe the makers of this will see the application and this could make or break a sale.
No, this gimbal is designed for use with action cameras only, however this company and others produce gimbals that work with smartphones. Hohem makes the iSteady V2, designed for smartphones.

Steve...that is very odd indeed. With nearly 10,000 views, yours is the first and only comment regarding any sort of audio issue. I played it back using headphones to check it out, and everything sounds consistent and even to me, no fluctuations or panning. Perhaps there is an issue on your system or maybe UA-cam has messed up somehow.
We’ll… it’s not really a point of comparison. Think of it this way, some stabilization is good and more stabilization is better. A camera with no native image stabilization will benefit greatly from this gimbal… a camera like a GoPro with already good stabilization may not benefit as much but believe me it will benefit. And of course a gimbal isn’t just about stabilization, it’s about mounting options, shooting angles, rotations, level horizons, etc.
The most detailed description of features on how to use that I've found. Bravo!
Thanks!

Getting a free gimbal for a review means you’re getting paid. Nice review. Mine comes Friday for my GoPro 12. Much excite
Great video! Just got my hands on one of these and I'm really liking this gimbal.
Hi. We are thinking of buying this but do you know it would take the weight of an Osmo Action 4 with a microphone receiver attached to it? Thanks.
This is the best review of this product I've seen great job
Thanks. I’m glad it was helpful.
Very good video I’ve just brought one …. Just got to work out how to handle the horrible wind noise like you had on the bike

Great review. Is there anyway to connect this to a chest mount for mountain biking?
You might be able to rig something up, but I think this gimbal might be a bit bulky for a chest mount application.

Will it connect with the DJI Action 3 with the use of the buttons on gimbal takinging images etc
I think the remote feature is only applicable to GoPro cameras.
