The little black unit that you cut off from the zipties is the humidity sensor unit. On my YZ8 48 egg incubator all of the electrics and fan are in the lid of the unit at the top so no water or anything can spill onto it. Apart from a bit of moisture.
The hole where wires go inside can be wet without any concern - it’s a small compartment that water can go into and drains out the bottom (you’ll see if you turn the whole thing upside down). The wires go into that hole and then back up to the display.
Hi, the big black thingy that was zipp-tied is in fact for messuring the humidity. And if you don‘t want everything to rust you should consider applying WD40 on the motor for the fan and the egg turner right after washing it down.
I have a slightly different model, yesterday two chicks hatched at night and i lost both, in the morning i noticed they had fallen down the sides one broke its legs and the other one drowned :( , hatching area height is so small you just can't put the eggs or chicks in there. try to buy a different incubator if you can or your chicks will suffer.
Hello from Greece my friend!!! I have the same incubator and before 10 days I had a very good hatch rate of chickens and quails both. I did the same wash as you and I started again hatching but the hymidity stays at 35 ( at the first hatch it was always 65) the temprature in my place is between 20 - 28 C these days. Do you have any advice?
Same problem with me, when I wash humidity stopped on 30 , I think real humidity is 60 but sensor is die from wash or clean, so I buy another humidity and degree calculate machine , and I work good but wash make humidity sensor die So you can hatch but take care if degree sensor die this a big problem I will change this product in future I don’t recommend it at all for anyone
Hello sir George!!! Please help how to set this setting of incubator I have same of it... I don’t know how Or what I should I do... from AL, AH to AS and CA and HA To LS 😔 please
I have that same model But my humidity shows EE E and its blinking. Don't beeping and if i press settings key the humidity show for just an seconds. What is problem plz tell me
bro I'm so disappointed by this incubator which I bought last year. I set temperature to 39.1 to get 37.6!! ...and temperature is so unstable..it drops and goes up all the time. It is so tiring to keep an eye over every hour at the incubator!! Do you usually get high hatching rate?
No we switched to do a different incubator last year. We now get all of our chicken supplies from www.coopsnmore.com if you us the promo code Lumnah you get 10% off
i know this is late but i have 2 of these and your right about watching it.. but if you set the settings right from the instruction the temp is consistent for me... the humidity is what my problem is... keeping it at 55 to 65.... keeps going down... add 2 drop of water and it shoot pass 65
Don’t waste your money on one of these! They break quickly right when your using them. I lost ALL my eggs one night! Cord inlet same as what I’ve read!
Total piece of junk an idiot would use water directly to clean electronics. And you also was not sure whether it will be okay or not ? Now motor will rust and then wires will and then fan from inside.

No. Do not use WD40 in your incubator!! Dry it with a hair dryer and paper towel.

Thanks. Just did first hatch in same one. I reckon the temp gauge is about 1 degree out. Candlers weren't much help!
No the candle lights don't do anything! Lol Did they hatch?
Great video, this will help so many new homesteaders.

I washed mine and the humidity doesn’t go past 30%. Do you know what it could be?
Mine is Stuck at 70 like I’m so mad I thought it was safe for it
Kako imam isti neznam dobro upotrebiti da mi objasnite te sifr temperaturu alaram vlaznost
My result in this incubator was 19 out of 22. But 1 silky chick fell down from corner and drowned. Hatching tray horribly designed.😤
