You cook like we do in South Dakota hills. We just smile at you young folks, and are glad to see you eat this way.
Love you hard work Americans!!!
OH MY GOODNESS!! That looks absolutely delicious!!
Love the way you made those biscuits in a pan then cut after baking, I've never thought to do them that way. I am going to try that. Your dinner looked amazing!
Enjoy watching. Learning new things.

Let me tell you one thing...I sure admire anyone that can make biscuits with a black tee shirt on and not end up covered up with flour..lol. Hope you have an awesome weekend and God bless!
I like to live on the wild side, hahahaha!
She got good looks and cooks.
She got a lucky man.
I want to see a video on fried squirrel, cathead biscuits and red eye gravy.
I grew up on cat head biscuits, but mama would mix her bater and drop them on the pan and bake them, they came out with bumps and points sticking up and we thought they looked like a "cat head" and they were huge, but man they were so good along with some good ole sausage gravy! This meal is awesome, I love hog jowl fried like that, it don't get no better!!
The old way is the best way
People forgot how to live their own lives
I love your channel
I’m a flat lander now but I was raised a ridge runner in

Such a beautiful site for sore eyes, watching a beautiful woman that knows how to do the dance, working her way around the stove like a symphony!❤❤❤
Looks delicious! I make most of those items on a regular basis myself and nothing goes down easier than country comfort food!
That's the way my grandma made biscuits, I miss them.
Dear sweet girl Meaghan, you make my heart sing. Ya’ll cook just like my mom did when I was a little. I do that now and it’s Amazing! I absolutely love ya’alls videos. I feel like I’ve known you for life.
👍 That reminds me of my mom’s cooking. ❤
Mmmm. Comfort food. Perfect.
Love watching you. Like being at one of my many Aunts house when I was a Kid.
Tried this for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. We have been eating canned venison for 2 generations and will be adding the gravy more often. Only thing I did different was add garlic powder, onion powder and cayenne pepper. Thanks for sharing your recipes and keep them coming please.
You guys are great and I love how down to earth you are. A real breath of fresh air in super crazy world.
Love ya guys! Such a great AMERICAN FAMILY!

Scrumptious!! Mighty fine looking vittles! Your are a great cook ✝️
Like a biscuit bread and that supper looks delicious.
Looks yummy :) I am in the grating butter camp when I make biscuits. I use an old Mouli shredder from the 50's, old fingers and hands can't deal with grating it on a box shredder. BTW, planted our first crops for 2024 over in eastern NC this week - sweet peas and Windsor beans.
Best cookbook I've ever seen "TVA pioneer cookbook" out of the Knoxville, Tn.
Biscuits stupendous, what a homemade meal!
Looks yummy! I’ve not tried making deer meat in that way. I’ll have to give it a try. God bless!
I love to watch you!!! You cook like I do. My mom taught me how to make biscuits when I was in the 1st grade!!!!
THIS!!!👆 THIS is the way I cook!!!😁 I love it!!❤ Thank you Meg, for introducing this to everyone! I would feel right at home at your house!😊
Wonderful family tops
Five Years ago could a had me committed to Insane Asylum for Thinking This Is The Best Video I Watched Today. 18 Acres WOW WOW. Us city folk stuck are JEALOUS.....
Now since 2020 when the went 🤪🤪 (You Know).... Enjoy and thanks for this video of an American Dream come True
Thank you so much!
Absolutely my kind of supper! Or breakfast! Unfortunately, I have to make stuff like this in small amounts since my kids are grown and gone with families of their own. My wife will not touch game of any kind, fresh fish, or even fresh chicken, beef, or pork. I grew up on all of it and still love it. Talk about opposites attracting!lol Of course, I did make a stew that she thought was beef once years ago. Probably because I unwrapped beef stew meat and repackaged it. She ate three bowls!😂 But I love her anyway!
We grow all of our vegetables that we eat, I honestly can't tell you the last time we bought any vegetables or meat for that matter from the store. We grow green beans, corn (sweet and field), tomatoes, different varieties of beans and cow peas, cucumbers, collards, turnip, mustard, kale, carrots, broccoli, and I am sure I am forgetting something. You can check out our garden tour from this past summer! ua-cam.com/video/zgt9Jys6RuI/v-deo.html
Looks great !
I can actually almost smell it.
That's a meal fit for a king! 😋
My grandmother called them cat head and I make them just like her it surprised me when you called them that
I am watching one of your videos of you cleaning out your shed. I live in Dover Ohio and we have a tremendous amount of Amish here and they use all this old stuff for the horses you showed the grinder. We still use those you have to remember the Amish are back in the 1800sthe way they do things some of them don’t have running water and they don’t believe in electricity they use a pump hand pump to pump the water. We have one of the biggest Amish settlements in the United States.
From California I'm 84 years old going to make those biscuits the cat had once when I find out what all the ingredients are when I find out the ingredients
❤❤❤
Great meal thanks for the video y'all take care.
Great idea on cooking the biscuits,I'm here in Spartanburg South Carolina cat head biscuits to us is over sized biscuits just like y'all ❤
If you don't already, preserve your butter. Always have it on hand. Our 1839 Almanac says "melt over the fire and scum well. Pour in to jar (stone) and cover loosely." If that doesn't make sense, learn to make ghee. Lasts forever.
Looks just like some good old home cooking me. That's the way I do it of course I live in a deep south of course I'm only 10 minutes from the beach of Gulf shores but I was raised on a farm now I'm wanting me some biscuits and sausage gravy😊 y'all keep up the good work love your videos sometimes you give me ideas what to make for dinner I know one thing I'm tired of eating chicken from Walmart all the time. Wish I was kind of back on the farm. I love you program keep up the good work and may God bless you and many more videos
I love listening to you talk. My daughter went to college in NC . Listening to you reminds me of her friends calling to say Hi. They would always say Hi moma Pat this is us from NC. Like I couldn't tell. We live in Pa 😂
Andy showed up just in time 😊
Welcome and thank you!
I call that a pan of bisket bread that's cut in to biskets but just as good as biskets my dad made cat head because thay were the size of a cats head !!!!
Of the few channel I watch I feel at home in your kitchen keep up the great work friend.
Thank you so much!
I need to try your cathead biscuts! A neighbor just brought me home made honey!!
Heck yes!!
Made me hungry
Looks delicious, I have never made deer meat gravy out of canned meat before, definitely going to give that a try. Thanks for sharing.
Good down home cookin'. I also can potatoes and deer meat. I use it to make vegetable soup and noodles/meat. I can burger and make gravy. It's delicious 😋. Keep sharing!
I make biscuit bread using butter, and I take a half of stick really cold, or in my case frozen, and grate it into the flour. Then I just have to stir it in. It works great. 😊
Meagan you are a natural.
i've had this amazing meal before ..,,,, its great to say the least....☝👍🙏
Delicious 🤤 ❤ could you make mashed potatoes with the canned potatoes? New user to pressure canning. ❤ probably a dumb question 😂 Last weekend for deer season 🎉 hubby is healing great & I finally got 2nd chance for hunting this season 🙌🙌🤞🏼❤️ thank you for the showing us a quick homemade dinner, all from your beautiful land❤ God be with you and yours
No such thing as a dumb question! The texture of canned potatoes are a little different than fresh one, I personally don't like the texture of the mashed potatoes if made with canned potatoes I've tried it a time or 2. We usually just eat them whole or I add them to soups. I save my fresh potatoes to make mashed potatoes. I am so glad to hear your husband is on the mend! Best of luck in the woods, get it girl!
I struggle with biscuits. I'll be making this recipe next! Our son blesses us with pork sausage after he butchers so I'll be making some yummy sausage gravy to go with these biscuits! Thanks for sharing😊
That was a heck of a meal !
Wow, glad I found your channel. You definitely cook amazing , and definitely hold a Homestead well. Love how you do all your own. A lot of hard work. Ps. Those biscuits 😊❤
LOVe your dough bowl!
Never seen biscuits made that way. I am interested always made in skillet.
Sure they will be good.
I don't think there's a wrong way or a right way to make biscuits. I've had them so many ways and they are all good. Yours look great.
Man oh man what a meal. I dont have any canned deer meat but I'm definitely going to try your biscuit technique.
Sorry I'm from South Africa 🇿🇦 and you are the best 💕 learn more about what you do really and if you can't video then it is ok ,in South Africa time we look at your video is 15:25 so but 😂😂😂just say love your videos 💞💓😘💕
Thank you so much!
Meagan I'm loving your cookbook. I just made my first ever homemade pasta noodles and my husband was slack jawed. He took a picture and sent it to his friends to brag on me. Next I'll try to make cathead biscuits (and I have no idea why they're called that!). Thank you!
I am so so glad to hear that you are enjoying it!! Yes those homemade noodles are killer! Thank you so much for your support! They are called cathead because they are shaped like a cats head is the way I've always heard it explained lol
That's some fine eatin' right there!
This is my first time watching love ❤️ it and yummy 😋
Really great video reminds me of my mother and grandmother making just about the same thing and my sister and brother and me loved that deer meat smothered in gravy on top of a cat head biscuit mmmm mmm mmmmm
