They likely exaggerated the speech mannerisms for the presentation, because it's the latest feature that's perceivable by the public, but I'm pretty sure that can be dialed down easily with only a few parameters. I think the biggest challenge will instead be the AI working continuously for 5+ hours, without it getting a memory leak or breaking its flows of ideas in a conversation. It's not excessively difficult for an AI to appear "sane" for 5 minutes, but push it beyond an hour and it will rapidly sound like dementia - by contradicting itself, repeating things in a loop, or suddenly becoming aggressive or fixated on something completely unrelated.

I think neuro's responsiveness was pretty okay back then, sometimes there are awkward pauses but it never gave off a robotic feeling. More like someone pausing to think of a response.
Vedal thinks of it as competition but it's not about that. He has the exposure and Nuero has become an icon as she is. He will only lose if believes he needs to compete. But Vedal already dominated his sector.
ChatGPT has no way of creating something close to neuro that can interact with the chat, because they value too much the "correctness" of AI as they are the "leading company" regarding it. Issue is, an AI "correct" streamer is not fun, it gets boring after 15 minutes and you'll never watch it again. Neuro is unpredictable and sometimes a comedic genious and has that shitposter energy, something OpenAI and their goofy cringe ass AI model laugh will not achieve.

Objectively gpt4o is definitely far better than neuro. The voice sounds smoother, smarter, etc all that Vedal mentioned. But neuro really does have a personality that’s unique. Although hopefully this pushes Vedal to work even harder on improving Neuro. Before this new gpt update came out, I’ve always seen Neuro as an amazing tech creation ahead of its time.
When a host doesn't require much intelligence, and ChatGPT is like an assistant earning $50000 a month in the company, and Neuro is like a daughter who avoids doing homework at home, which one would we love more

Neuro on the other hand is obviously and openly an AI and she doesn't need to steal a real human's voice/mannerisms to speak, she made her own unique mannerisms overtime, she is a work in progress but she still feels like the most likely AI project to one day become her own fully realized lil person

You have to remember that Vedal is one person and OpenAI is a whole company. For what Vedal has done so far is impressive, and I genuinely believe he can take advantage of this new OpenAI development in some way. If not directly then definitely as motivation.

I think neuro's responsiveness was pretty okay back then, sometimes there are awkward pauses but it never gave off a robotic feeling. More like someone pausing to think of a response.

Vedal thinks of it as competition but it's not about that. He has the exposure and Nuero has become an icon as she is. He will only lose if believes he needs to compete. But Vedal already dominated his sector.
ChatGPT has no way of creating something close to neuro that can interact with the chat, because they value too much the "correctness" of AI as they are the "leading company" regarding it.
Issue is, an AI "correct" streamer is not fun, it gets boring after 15 minutes and you'll never watch it again.
Neuro is unpredictable and sometimes a comedic genious and has that shitposter energy, something OpenAI and their goofy cringe ass AI model laugh will not achieve.

Terrible writers make it to have Hollywood films but the best written books stay in the dark. The winner is publicity. Doesn't matter if you're the best or not. Ugh, they are programming it to nervous laugh a lot as a trick to make it come off as awkwardly human. It's incredibly annoying. Take away the stupid laughter that brackets every response and it's responses don't seem like anything special. It's like the pretty but vapid girl who twirls her hair and lsughs and flirts to cover that she has nothing to say.
