Happy Friday everyone! Hope y'all are all doing well. I just wanted to let everyone know that I also have an affiliate code with Naturium (GLOWBR15) if you want to get a discount on this or any Naturium purchase
PA rating on the bottle doesn’t mean anything. They have to show us the real results from the testing. We’ve had issues with sunscreens before that also claimed they are spf ++++ don’t blindly trust the packaging
That’s because I only trust European sunscreens. The circled UVA sign on the bottle means that the UVA protection is at least 1/3 of the spf. It’s actually a law here to only use that sign if the sunscreen has been tested and proven to be high enough. Plus a lot of manufacturers give out the information on their PPD freely.
@@universe25.xexactly! PPD rating, in my opinion, is much more reliable. As a Southeast Asian, i'm still baffled by the fact that most sunscreens with SPF 50 only have a PPD rating below 25 because us Southeast Asians are more prone to tanning than burning.
I love affordable products so I stay away from the expensive ones, but since Naturium has yet to miss on any of their products for me, this is definitely going to be a must have on my outings with friends and family. Susan has been killing it with her formulas !
I'm so happy this matt sunscreen came out here in the states! My skin is extremely oily, and most things just slip and slide off my face. Due to that reason, I've only been using sunscreen from Korea.
I love naturiums formulas on many of their products. The price point is a little high but i will def try this and decide if it will be a repurchased item or not. I’d love to see a body sunscreen or invisible sunscreen similar to the supergoop
I can’t $26 for 1.7oz is a no for me 😭😭. Too many Japanese, Korean, and US/EU options. I don’t appreciate them using *manufacturer* data abt the InfraGuard in their *product* marketing. But at the end of the day more options for elegant sunscreen US customers can get in person is nice!
I will definitely pick this up on one of the sales, it looks perfect for summer. But I will likely use it as a "want to look nice today" sunscreen because of the price, rather than a daily driver. Congrats to Susan, she definitely knows what the market wants!
I'd love to see them formulate a tinted mineral SPF. So far the US has been making killer ones lately, notably Neutrogena and Eucerin. Makes mineral SPFs such a dream to apply
FYI ya'll, I just tried this sunscreen and while it is marketed as "fragrance free", the Raspberry ketone acts like a natural fragrance giving it a strong raspberry/sugarry/cotton candy smell. I did some research on raspberry ketone and saw it is often used as a masking fragrance. Ramon, what are your thoughts on this? Feels misleading to claim it's fragrance free.
Can’t wait to try this! I’m waiting for a cosmetically elegant chemical/organic body SPF in a sizable bottle! I hate majority of body SPF’s I’ve come across. I need a good one in my life!
Omg I JUST ordered this about 5 minutes before your video popped up in my feed 😅. As a fellow oily girl, I am so excited to try this! Especially since it's spf 50.
I really wanted to purchase this formula. It looks so lovely but the price is a bit high for me. I will stick to the dewy sunscreen by naturium in the fall and winter. It’s just a bit over my budget at $26 :(
So excited to try this! What do you think of products that provide sun protection in wash-off formats? I've seen shampoos and conditioners with sunscreen filters in them that I'm guessing use some kind of delivery system similar to how the Olay retinol body wash works. Do you think they're worth using, and do you think Naturium would ever get innovative with sun protection in wash-off products?
I also wonder if that is a good idea. We know that sunscreen filters work by forming a protection film on the skin. If it doesn't pass the FDA's testing regulations to carry an SPF, I would be wary.
@@davidle3567 It's not possible to test wash-off products using current standards for SPF and UVAPF testing, but it would be interesting to see some kind of innovation done there. If even a little bit of protection could be gained from a wash-off depositing sunscreen actives, it could do a lot to prevent UV damage. Skin cancer on the hair part is common as is one the back of the neck and lower legs. If we could use body washes, shampoos/conditioners, and so on with sunscreen actives... I see a lot of possibility lol :D Maybe someday.
I wish I could wear American chemical sunscreen filters. 😥 They burn my skin so I am glad there are alternatives. I am loving the liquid Tocobo (blue packaging) sunscreen and for the stick I do love Ramon’s Beauty of Joseon stick. If those filters didn’t burn my skin, I would love that product.
These sunscreen prices are getting out of hand😂😂 especially for the filters, ingredients and size, but it looks nice on the skin I won’t lie 😂 I have to stick with Isntree watery gel because this tretinion is drying me out😂
I have the same skin as you. I've been using Malezia for my breakouts and it completely cleared my skin and the moisturizer that comes with it is antifungal safe and has urea which also lightly exfoliates the skin
Seems to be a little too cozy of a relationship with the creator for a truly honest review to be given. Just being honest. Still enjoy your other content. 👍🏻
@ all in one. Not a chemist so idk if it's possible, but it'll be a powerhouse brightening silky toner instead of a thick serum. Plus I selfishly love naturium's mandelic acid for my fight against acne. Even better than their azelaic and SA.
That 'reflect' marketing bothers me, probably more than it should. However, It perpetuates sunscreen myths and is blatantly not evidenced based. I really think this should have been addressed in the video, at least more than a hmm 🤔. I get the sense that if it had been another brand, it would have been addressed. And that makes me go hmm 🤔
Lots of sunscreen brands use that wording and Ramon doesn't usually focus on in-depth debunking in his solo product review videos. I think it wasn't included because of video time/length, not bias towards the brand.
Рік тому+3
Knowing Susan and the team behind the launch, my assumption is that it’s not about ‘uv filters reflect’, especially since this is a chemical sunscreen. Knowing it’s also in the name, but not knowing enough to elaborate on the subject, I didn’t since it wouldn’t make sense for me to in this instance. Otherwise, I’d agree with you
Id love a face and body sunscreen for acne prone skin. Im currently using the Elta Md UV lition gor that, but its not perfect. I wish it was less glowy.
Love your videos! This sunscreen seems great but it is a bit pricey. Could you make a comparison with other asian sunscreens that have similar texture/finish, since they are more affordable
Question! Are all American sunscreens regulated by the FDA ? We have so many options for sunscreen but do they really protect the skin or not? Where is the official paper for each sunscreen that it has been tested and we know for sure that it provides UVA UVB protection? We need numbers. The reason why we have so many sunscreens on the market is because it’s not regulated at all. Companies mix ingredients and sell as it a valid product. For example, one of my favorite brands DRMTLGY- I asked them directly what UVA protection do your sunscreens have? They never responded directly to my question. They started to dodge this question. So I never received a satisfactory response. That’s why I don’t trust their sunscreens. But I absolutely love the rest of their products. So I don’t know. If you have an opportunity to buy a better sunscreen get it from Europe.
In the US sunscreens are regulated as drugs so yes they are regulated by the FDA. But as far as I know the US does not have set expectations for uvA coverage, in the EU for example uvA protection must be at least 1/3 that of the spf (uvb protection). With american filters that would be hard to achieve for many.
The Skin Aqua UV Moisture Milk has been my holy grail, but I’m excited to try this one (even despite it being more expensive), because it doesn’t have the physical filters that I think inevitably make the Skin Aqua take longer to dry down and sit as well over other skincare and under makeup. Here’s hoping!
Honest question. How can you trust Susan after she has been repeatedly dishonest about the ingredients in her products and the launch of the brand? I’d rather use expired krave spf.
Hi Ramon, I am sooo confused! I just went shopping at Whole Foods and found “clear zinc oxide.” Is this stuff healthy, effective, and seriously has all the benefits of zinc oxide minus the white cast??? The fact that I’ve never seen you talk about a product with “clear zinc oxide” nor have addressed “uncoated zinc oxide” in the ingredient list, concerns me. So, would you speak on this? I purchased a Badger brand product for kids. Thank you soooo much! Regine, in South Florida
As a person of color, no physical filter only sunscreen is free of white cast. Some hybrid sunscreens don’t have a cast on me, e.g. the Canmake mermaid screen.
i love rohto 🍃 so i purchased the skin aqua spf 50. i love it so much and it’s a lot of product. i use the ordinary resveratrol during the day cause im a barber and vitamin c makes me smell like hot dog water and im all up in peoples faces 😂.

Have you tried Bondi sands? Or vacation? They look so good
Try the Banana Boat Light as Air. It has a fragrance but other wise blends in super quick and is matte.
Why don't you try japanese sunscreens for body, like nivea ,skinaqua or verdio
i hope naturium releases tinted mineral sunscreens with multiple shades
I think I'll give this a try when it hits target shelves! At this price point, I may as well get the target circle earnings.
Yesss please!!!! A side by side comparison bw the 2 would be fantastic!!
But I already mentioned how they’re worlds different from each other 😭

Thank you for your review! Do you know how they are stabilizing avobenzone without octocrylene? Only three filters worries me a bit.
I’ll stick to my Korean sunscreen that’s too much money
That’s ok!
