Thanks for showing the reapplication of the sunscreen stick over your make up. That's something I still have to try out. I'm always too afraid of the sunscreen ruining my make up. But it seemed easy and pretty when you did it! :)
BOJ sunscreen is my favorite too. I just love how it calms my skin after each application when my skin feels heated . ❤ It feels like I wore nothing on my skin. ❤❤ Already finished my first tube. I will definitely buy it again.
You nailed it with your great description of the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen. It is such a pleasure to use. For me, the moisture and “wetness” level (post-application) are perfect because I am older and my skin tends to be dry. It’s even a pleasure to squeeze it out of the tube. My top US sunscreen is Elta MD. When compared to the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen, Elta MD feels and looks closer to a No-Ad drugstore sunscreen. 😱
Thanks for the back-of-hands idea! I have that problem as well. Sticks are brilliant! My favorite sunscreen here in Korea is BOH Panthenol Cica Blemish Sun Cream. It's got brightening ingredients, blends in nice (chemical) and it's the perfect texture. Plus it often goes on sale at Olive Young (the standard high-street shop for beauty products here). It seems like the Korean products that become well-known overseas are often different than the typical products in the stores here.
Thank you lab muffin :) It would be great if you prepare a video about sunscreen filters. I don't know their differences and which one is better and what to look for 😢
Thank you for mentioning sensory issues. I always wear my spf but a lot of the times if an spf is too dewy my hair will stick to it and I start getting really overwhelmed and it makes me want to wipe it off so I have been trying to find the lightest spf I can and the one that doesn't irritate my eyes and the skin 1004 one is my absolute favourite for it. I need a layer of powder over any sunscreen I wear but this one I don't need a lot of powder which makes reapplying way nicer and doesn't get all goopy. Thank you for your videos they are always really helpful 💕
I also hate this feeling. I got the Skin1004 recently and it’s the first sunscreen that doesn’t irritate my super sensitive eyes. The BoJ you def feel it on your skin, especially if you’re prone to oiliness and it made my eyes so puffy and watery. Everyone is different of course but I was a little disappointed after all the rave reviews.
@Aurora S. yeah definitely give it a go, I was definitely sceptical because I saw loads of people doing paid videos promoting it but I bit the bullet and honestly I don't regret it at all, it is my go to spf now, I have already gone through 1 tube and just started my 2nd. I cut the first tibe open to get every last little bit out 😂
@Oracle1166 I had the exact same problem with the boj one. It went on nice but my skin is so oily and it just didn't sit well on my skim and was making my hair stick to it like crazy and the eye sting in this one was horrendous for me so I just use the leftovers now on my hands instead
Thanks Michelle! Beauty of Joseon is very good, but the Skin 1004 is a favorite (one little plus is how little is left in tube at end of use; I'm one of those people who cuts open packaging to get every last bit). Currently using d'Alba's UV Essence Waterfull+; silky texture and no eye irritation. As humidity rises with advent of summer I'm hoping it can replace at least one moisturizer step.
You’ve sold me on the tocobo stick. For the back of my hands. I ride a bicycle and sunscreen is a problem on my hands. I just purchased one and will keep it by the door to apply to my hands before I hop on my bike. Thanks!
I loved the skin1004 sunscreen after finding the boj sunscreen just a tad bit heavy!! I found the boj sunscreen would leave me shiny later in the day while the skin1004 doesn’t but it still provides enough moisture for me to not have to wear a separate moisturizer under it
Im team organic/chemical but so glad you like the Benton Mineral Sun Cream. Thats one of my favorite of all time for a mineral/inorganic sunscreen. No one ever talks about it and so glad it got your approval, even if its not your HG. You should try the Scinic Enjoy Super Mild Sun Essence next time. Now thats my HG.
I have those awkward sunscreen moments pretty much daily lol. In the morning I'll go to apply my sunscreen with a shirt on , but that makes applying around my neck weird. So then I'll just apply it shirtless, but I'm worried I rubbed some spf off when I put the shirt on lol. Can't win. I just wear sun gloves when driving or going on a walk. Also, sunscreen breaking down plastic is such a threat! I went on a weekend cruise recently, and by the end of that short time my keycard was not able to get scanned lol. My keyboard and mouse look a mess too, and I've even managed to rub off the label/numbers on my tower fan. Really gotta be careful with sunscreen on hands ig
It would be nice if there was a video on Asian body sunscreens. One that is good for your face, too. It be more cost effective instead of 50ml tubes of excellenct sunscreen.
As of now, my favorite Korean sunscreen is the SNP UV Perfect Air Cool Sun Cream. It's the only Korean sunscreen that has a matte finish. These newer Korean sunscreems feel so heavy and greasy on the skin, and they sting around the eye area, too. I also like the Skin1004 sunscreen. It's on the moisturizing side, but not nearly as greasy or as heavy as the Beauty Of Joseon one. After watching this, i'm kinda curious to try the Benton one. It's been so long since the last time i tried mineral sunscreen.
I bought the TOCOBO sunscreen stick and the texture was great but I couldn’t get over the scent. I’m using Beauty of Joseon stick and love that it is unscented.
Usually suscreen breaks me or irritates my skin but I've been using the BoJ one for a couple of weeks now and it seems to be working great. It also doesn't dry out my dry and dehydrared prone skin which is something sunscreen usually does. Crossing my fingers that I've finally found a sunscreen that works for me...
I think Be Plain is a really common brand used in Korea. Also, tea tree sunscreens seem to be popular this year. I really liked Rovectin's sunscreen, but Rovectin stopped being carried in most stores recently because it isn't a popular brand.
I'm so surprised you like the Jumiso one, it wasn't really well received by consumers, so much so that Jumiso released two new sunscreens this year to replace the previous two they launched last year.
I was surprised too - I hated the other one they had, but when I straight up forgot I was wearing this one I was like... OK that's something that's never happened with a sunscreen!
I tried and used up the BOJ and Skin1004 ones and loved both. Scinic, bellflower blueberry, purito ones, dear klairs and Isntree are a few others I loved.
@@LabMuffinBeautyScience I love it is because ( I think) it’s the only sunscreen that protect against long UV ray and I needed that since I’m on accutane.
That one is my holy grail! I've tried Japanese/Korean ones but I'm always worried they won't be enough during hot summer days (especially because most aren't water resistant I think?). With the LRP one, my partner and I haven't burned at all under the scorching Italian sun so that says enough for me. It's also very nice to wear imo. Apparently they came out with an oil control one too in the same range for oily people.
Hi Michelle, can you make a video on some of the "long lasting" or "once a day" sunscreen claims that i see with european or korean sunscreens? Some say 12 hours 😱. Whats the science behind that? What ingredients allow for such long coverage? Are these real or just a hype? Thank you! Always love your informative videos 💙
I have a special interest in sunscreens! My favorite Korean sunscreen is the Purito Daily Go-To. I know after Sunscreengate/the SPF scandal, a lot of people are hesitant to trust Purito again, but I trust the independent lab testing. I have dry to normal skin, and for me, it feels even better than the Beauty of Joseon one. For dry-dry skin, I really like Frudia’s Ultra UV Sun Shield Essence and Bellflower’s Avocado Moisture. B.Lab’s matcha one is less emollient and feels a little “sticky” on me (and it seems to hold up better to sweat), so I think it could be a good option for normal, combo, or maybe oily skin or under makeup.
aaaa, i'm definitely going to try the skin1004 one! i've been using the beauty of joseon one for a while and i LOVE it - the finish is beautiful, it's not too sticky, and it doesn't irritate my skin or eyes. the only annoyance for me is that because it's a squeeze-y tube it's very easy for me to dispense more than i actually need... so the pump on the skin1004 one is very intriguing. 👀 eta: and i bet sunscreen sticks would be great for reapplication over tattoos if you're out and about and can't wash your hands (i HATEEEE the feeling of sunscreen on my hands).
The pump on the SKIN1004 is so nice and if feel like the BOJ one is even the slightest bit heavy, it will feel like you're wearing almost nothing with the SKIN1004.
BOJ sunscreen was my fav, but since I’ve tried Skin1004 hyalu-cica it replaced the BOJ one 😅 It has much lighter consistency which is PERFECT for my comby and veeery oily t-zone skin. I just add a layer of regular moisturizer underneath for my dry parts and it’s 10/10
I feel like a unicorn (in a bad way) in that I didn't love the BoJ. It made my entire face burn and I still can't figure out what the irritating ingredient was. I've been using tret for decades so I'm desensitized in that regard, but I have acne-prone semi-sensitive skin for reference. What's funny is my face LOVES Missha All Around Safe Essence which has a bunch of synthetic flower scent in it (that thankfully dissipates). I don't get it.
I have acne prone sensitive skin too and my skin didn't really react well to BOJ sunscreen either. It felt nice on the skin when applying but made my skin kind of itchy after a few seconds and seemed to make my acne worse. Not sure why though 🤔.
The BoJ sunscreen makes my skin sting sometimes, but the feeling goes away very quickly, and I have not noticed any other setbacks with it. However, I do notice that it starts to peel after the 3rd reapplication.
Thanks for the recs! I have a really picky sunscreen person in my life and I am personally on the tanner side, so white cast and the finish of sunscreens are both super important factors for us to consider when shopping sunscreens! Where we are the spf gets to 11 and my partner is quite pale and sunburns within 5 mins so we really need a good sunscreen or two for face and body when we absolutely have to go out during the highest uv of the day. We've also gotten some clothes specifically for uva/uvb protection based on an article from your blog. :)
I use a pump spray sunscreen (Bondi Sands one) for the back of my hands. Using a stick on the fingers and a bit between the fingers sounds like it would be annoying, and I don't know how many swipes to do. A pump spray bottle is certainly not as portable for reapplication.
Thank you, thank you. So appreciate your taking time to do this video ❤ I wonder if you have any information as to sunscreens to wear with really bad eczema. My daughter reacts with almost all except baby SS but that leaves her a greasy mess. If really appreciate any input, thanks in advance 💞
I have a question! How does PA ++++ compare with the EU Broad Spectrum criteria? I know the last one is at least 1/3 of the UVB protection, but I don't know how that compares to the PA system Thanks in advance
Watched this while suffering through eye sting from the sunscreen I used today....... I'm trying to find a good drugstore standby before I try ones from online but my god idk if I can take it lol I may just have to try some of these immediately
Beauty of Joseon was drying on my skin and caused small breakout/irritation. I didn't find it moisturizing at all. Most ppl are saying how moisturizing it is and good for dry skin, but I don't think it is :(
Hi Michelle, thanks for creating such detailed and engaging science-based videos on sunscreen and other cosmetic products! Could you please create some content on whether physical or chemical sunscreens are better for a healthy skin microbiome? Also, could you please create a video on the benefits of using soft and distilled water on hair for those with rough hair texture and excessive hair loss? Thank you!
This is the first video on your channel that I've watched and I really like your content! I'm curious of your thoughts on sport-focused sunscreens that don't come off with sweat?
Hi! Love your content and especially your humor! Have you talked about using magic eraser towels (or similar) for makeup removal? Science behind how these work? Good or bad? Thank you! Recently discovered and am intrigued!
Another fantastic video - thank you! I've been trying to find elegantly formulated mineral sunscreens as my Australian GP said they are more effective at blocking UV or is that also a myth?
Hi michelle, I would like ask you a question that has been perturbing me for awhile. I have been seeing a lot of comments online saying that if you use retinol at night, you need to wash it off first thing in the morning as it reacts negatively with the morning sunscreen you apply later. May I ask if this is indeed true? Normally I just wash my face with water in the morning to avoid over cleansing but because of this claim I have been washing off my retinol with foaming cleanser in the morning which makes my face drier. Is there really a need to do this? Appreciate your views on this. Thanks!
new lrp formula made break me out a bit so i really want to try some korean sunscreens. i didn't use sunscreen since summer last year and from what i can remember is that the old one didn't cause me any problems. but i'm not 100% if it's from the new formula or from chemical sunscreens in genral
BoJ irritated my skin :( so did a couple of the other newer sunscreens (so annoying when they feel so good!, so I think I'll give the Jumiso one a try next time I'm shopping
Heyy I wanted to ask something. While choosing a sunscreen, does the number of sunscreen filters matter? Like some have 3, some have 4. Do more filters mean higher protection or something?
Nope, it depends on the concentrations and the overall formulation . Sometimes multiple filters are added to get coverage of more of the spectrum, but some filters have broader absorbance so more filters doesn't necessarily mean broader coverage either. The best indications are just the final measured SPF and UVAPF.
@@LabMuffinBeautyScience were your choices in the video just based on texture and application, or did you also take into consideration things like SPF and PA value, and if they were really checked by a trustworthy lab? (Thinking of the whole purito sunscreen issue, I don't know if regulations were updated since then)
BOJ is also my favorite, SKIN1004 recently made me break out, FYI for anyone who's trying to compare. I have normal (sorta combo) and mildly sensitive skin that's usually completely free of blemishes but after using SKIN1004 for a few weeks small blemishes started to come out. When I compare both BOJ and 1004 the side with 1004 does feel tighter (not in a good way) whereas the BOJ feels just moisturizing enough (in California). I would've switched to 1004 if I was to travel to a tropical region but alas... anyone has recommendation for a sunscreen lighter than BOJ that might work in humid weather? :)
Wanted to live the Beauty of Joeson sunscreen but I'm one of those unfortunate skin types that gets pimples from rice products. Had to give it to my mom and I've been loving my D'alba waterfull sunscreen instead
I would've loved to try these recs! but sadly I'm allergic to niacinamide, so I'm unable to use everything on the list :/ Would love to know which sunscreens are your favs Michelle (ones that don't include niacinamide)
One important thing to ask is: Do we really need to pay more for imported sunscreen products? Are they really different from what we already have in our countries? Considering they’re sponsoring you, I’d get it your answer would be yes. There’s so many national brands already and it’s good to support your local market. I live in Spain and I love the Spanish brands of Sunscreen, even though a lot of American brands are similar to it.
There's different filters being used, so they tend to be different. Doesn't mean there's no good sunscreens in EU, but Asia tends to have more lighter formulations built around sensitive skin and hydration, while still being affordable. European sunscreens in general tend to be more waterproof. There's good ones too but they tend to be pricy
Can you by any chance give us some tips the reduce the shine in sunscreens. Im from South Africa and live on the east coast, which has very high humidity. I am also combination to oily skin. We don't have a large variety and sunscreens get really expensive here.
I don't feel that with this one, though I do feel it with many others. I think it's an individual sensitivity thing. I'm honestly not sure if my eyes sting because of one of the filters, or from other ingredients in the formulation. I tried a bunch of Korean sunscreens when Lab Muffin posted a video about them a year or so ago, and the Beauty of Joseon quickly rose to the top for me because I like how it feels on my skin, and it doesn't bother my eyes even when I'm wearing contacts. I'm sorry it doesn't work for you. :( I hope you find something better. In that video I mentioned earlier, Lab Muffin also rated Isntree Watery Sun Gel (I think that's the name of it) very highly. I tried that one and liked it as well - it was my second favorite of the bunch. Best of luck to you in your search.
@@arguchik thank you for taking the time to comment! I’m wondering if I feel a bit of stinging because I use tretinoin? Maybe my skin barrier is compromised right now lol. Although when I use some other sunscreens I don’t feel this stinging. I will give some of the other Korean sunscreens a try and see how they feel. Thanks 😊
Yes this stuff burnt my skin so bad. It took almost 2 weeks to heal skin barrier. And I had breakouts like crazy. Had to gift it to a friend. Worst experience I ever had. I had so much hope for this one 😭
@@dakotahjadee Oh, you meant skin stinging, not eye stinging. Sorry, I misunderstood. I have used tretinoin in the past, and I think you're right about that being the culprit. At least, I found that it made my skin more sensitive to a lot of other products.
Hi, recently someone told me I shouldn't use chemical sunscreens because I have vascular type of skin and chemical spfs turn UV into heat and heat is making my skin worse. Is it true or this heat is too low to make difference? Would be grateful for your advice :)
BEWARE of Beauty of Joseon sunscreen is not for everyone. I am from Southeast Asia and have been living in Canada. I have been using CANMAKE sunscreen and recently tried Beauty of Joseon. Sadly it doesn't work on my facial skin. I applied it liberally (thick two fingers rule) in the morning at 7 AM and mostly stayed indoor. When I was outside I wore a sun hat. I started to feel itchy on my eyelid about an hour or so after I applied, and didn't notice until 5 PM on that day that I had this red bumps on my eye lids and foreheads. The next morning my eyes were swollen. The reaction was like sun poisoning. I thought I didn't apply it enough. That 2nd day I used it again using more amount than the first day, and 3rd day morning my red patching, roughness (like sand paper) on facial skin and the swelling on the eyelids had gotten worse. It took 1 week for my skin to heal.
I am still really loving beauty of joseon! I apply A LOT too. Because my hair is quite short on sides of my head. I cover my entire face, neck, sides of head, back of head, back neck, and even ears. And I don’t feel like a complete grease ball. There’s definitely a sheen but I never personally mind it. I’ve dealt with much worse shininess from sunscreens. My only concern is about how well it would stay on when sweating. I use Dr. Jart when I know I’ll be in the heat of South Florida more that day. But if anyone can recommend a good water resistant light weight sunscreen let me know! My skin type is generally similar to Michelle’s.
I love it! Yesterday, the cosmetologist told me that I shouldn't use Korean sunscreen (or any Korean or Asian cosmetic) because I don't have "Asian" skin, that's why my rosacea isn't improving even with IPL (just 2 session). Why do you think?
That just sounds like your dermatologist is super racist. What would "Asian skin" even mean? Why would everyone who lives in the continent of Asia have a specific kind of skin? Just doesn't make logical sense. That would be like if Americans could only digest rice grown in the US because of our American intestines 😂 Rosacea is a tenacious skin condition and I wish you the best of luck. Finding good doctors is hard.
I was just thinking about you and sunscreens, LOL I have vitamin D deficiency, and I'm a vampire, and I was thinking do I need to wear sunscreen? Do sunscreens block production of vitamin D? I see sun so little, so I don't know if it's worth it to even put on one.
Australian recommendations are to use sunscreen with UV Index of 3 and above, and, as far as I know, they were made by a panel of different doctors, taking both cancer prevention and Vitamin D needs into account. I've heard many times that sunscreen can never cause vitamin D deficiency, since ocasional sun exposure is already enough to produce vitamin D. I find it a bit dubious, since vitamin D deficiency is a thing in countries where there isn't as much sun 🤔 And especially in your case, it really should be carefully thought out. Having the opinion of both your family doctor and a dermatologist would be a good idea, if possible! 🙂
4:54 - Oh no, I hate face mosquito bites. Insult to injury! The skeeters aren’t happy with just stealing blood and spreading infectious diseases, they need to cause face hyperpigmentation too. 🤬
I like to see a video for the best sweat resistant sunscreens for the summer. I am in the US so I bought plenty of sunscreens from other countries that claim to be sweat resistant and I still got sun burn. I was outside less than 2 hours and it was after 4pm. I bought Coppertone sport spf 70 and that seems to work best at protecting from getting burned. I just hate the fragrance but it dissipates after a few minutes. And I like to see sunscreens that claim to protect for hours with just one application. Do they work? I saw these sunscreens online: SolRX SPORT SPF 50 Sunscreen and Riemann p20+ spf 50 sensitive skin (supposed to protect against visible light).
Just get a 1/4 teaspoon and see how many pumps it takes to fill up, it's a bit annoying to get it all out of the spoon after that to put on, but you only have to do it once to find out the number of pumps. 1/4tsp should be enough for face and neck, and personally I use half that amount if I'm doing face only.

Does benton and sonic give a white cast? Iam light tan skin
Love your hair and matching clothes, You never disappoint. Thanks
Thank you!
I’d love to see a video on waterproof sunscreens
We are sunscreen fave twins ;) I 100% support your verdicts
Yay we have good taste!
It would be nice if there was a video on Asian body sunscreens. One that is good for your face, too. It be more cost effective instead of 50ml tubes of excellenct sunscreen.
Love BOJ for my 60+ dry skin ❤❤
When I first saw the video, I read the title as "My top KAREN sunscreens". ...I'm tired. You're awesome, by the way.
I appreciate the transparency of the ad🤠 great video
BOJ stick is brilliant!
Thanks for sharing. I am used to fragrance free products and have become sensitized to it.
Putting a sunscreen stick on the back of your hands sounds like such an excellent idea! I will try it tomorrow when I go get my nails done!! :)))
Beauty of Joseon is my ride or die sunscreen. Best I ever used.
I tried and used up the BOJ and Skin1004 ones and loved both. Scinic, bellflower blueberry, purito ones, dear klairs and Isntree are a few others I loved.
Can you tell me which you think I should get between BOJ and Skin1004 if I have oily skin but love the dewy hydrated look?
@@TestaRosssa_ I have dry skin and love both. They are both very similar like a light essence like cream
@@lavayuki thank you so much 😊
Thank you for your video! I'm studying chemistry in Uni but not cosmetic chemistry so it's very interesting to learn more :)
Still love my la Roche posay anthelios UVmune 400 :)
It's a great sunscreen! I've been trying it out lately as well 😊
@@LabMuffinBeautyScience I love it is because ( I think) it’s the only sunscreen that protect against long UV ray and I needed that since I’m on accutane.
@@Alex-dj9qj yeah. The LRP protect you from long UV ray which other doesn’t which is why I’m only using the LRP
Here from James Welsh's channel!!!!
Love him!
Seconding the Skin1004 sun serum. It’s like a lightweight version of the BOJ sunscreen, more suited for my oily dehydrated skin.
eta: and i bet sunscreen sticks would be great for reapplication over tattoos if you're out and about and can't wash your hands (i HATEEEE the feeling of sunscreen on my hands).
Thanks for your content, Michelle. Appreciate it.
It makes my skin burn too. I also have been using tretinoin for several years. Maybe it's the tretioin use?
Not all sunscreens burn. So far the three ones I've tried made by Kolmar have, though.
I like the sign you have in the background. Organic only means C-H chained backbone.
Thank you, thank you. So appreciate your taking time to do this video ❤
I wonder if you have any information as to sunscreens to wear with really bad eczema. My daughter reacts with almost all except baby SS but that leaves her a greasy mess. If really appreciate any input, thanks in advance 💞
I have a question! How does PA ++++ compare with the EU Broad Spectrum criteria?
I know the last one is at least 1/3 of the UVB protection, but I don't know how that compares to the PA system
Thanks in advance
Watched this while suffering through eye sting from the sunscreen I used today....... I'm trying to find a good drugstore standby before I try ones from online but my god idk if I can take it lol I may just have to try some of these immediately
Sometimes I’ve just used a mineral sunscreen around my eye area and another sunscreen for the rest of my fa. 😟
You are my favourite UA-camr💖
That's really lovely to hear! 🥰
HAHA I love your organic = carbon-based sign! I'm tired of people harping on about "organic this" or "organic that", it doesn't really mean anything!
i had no idea sunscreen can corrode plastic! that's so good to know!
Hi! Love your content and especially your humor! Have you talked about using magic eraser towels (or similar) for makeup removal? Science behind how these work? Good or bad? Thank you! Recently discovered and am intrigued!
Yes but only on my blog! labmuffin.com/how-make-up-remover-cloths-work-and-review/
Sunscreen! My favorite topic ❤
Thank you!! A voice of reason in the skincare community! Would you recommend yes style as a seller? To get these amazing products in the EU?
I've used yesstyle and stylevana for Spain
Never had an issue with any
The clothes from yesstyle are a little hit or miss though, depends on the seller
YesStyle usually ships to me faster, and responds to questions better.
@@LabMuffinBeautyScience Makes sense. Thx💜
@@LabMuffinBeautyScience were your choices in the video just based on texture and application, or did you also take into consideration things like SPF and PA value, and if they were really checked by a trustworthy lab? (Thinking of the whole purito sunscreen issue, I don't know if regulations were updated since then)
Yay i have new favourites to give a go
BOJ is also my favorite, SKIN1004 recently made me break out, FYI for anyone who's trying to compare. :)
and Thank Michelle :)
Wanted to live the Beauty of Joeson sunscreen but I'm one of those unfortunate skin types that gets pimples from rice products. Had to give it to my mom and I've been loving my D'alba waterfull sunscreen instead
7:22 - My brain just reads that as "Tobacco".
I would've loved to try these recs! but sadly I'm allergic to niacinamide, so I'm unable to use everything on the list :/ Would love to know which sunscreens are your favs Michelle (ones that don't include niacinamide)
The review did not say anything about level of protection, broad or only UVB?
LOL being sweaty from eating ramen and No Video Available for exercise 😂 I can relate
Love your channel
One important thing to ask is:
Do we really need to pay more for imported sunscreen products?
Have you tried the Beauty of Joseon stick, despite my dry skin, I like it a lot
Can you by any chance give us some tips the reduce the shine in sunscreens. Im from South Africa and live on the east coast, which has very high humidity. I am also combination to oily skin. We don't have a large variety and sunscreens get really expensive here.
Benton skinfit mineral sunscreen sounds like what I need. It doesn't sound Korean though. I should try Jumiso Waterfall.
Does anyone else feel some stinging when using the beauty of Joseon one? 😢
Thanks 😊
In my eyes yes.
I would love to know about sunscreens that doesn't leave any white cast... Its pretty anoying when you have dark skin
"no video available" for the wet t-shirt contest. 😂
Hi, recently someone told me I shouldn't use chemical sunscreens because I have vascular type of skin and chemical spfs turn UV into heat and heat is making my skin worse. Is it true or this heat is too low to make difference? Would be grateful for your advice :)
Yet none that are sensitive Rosacea fungal acne safe… especially not Korean ones as they are full of essential oils/plant extracts, actives etc.
HELP PLS LabMuffin😢 they say one sunscreen can make another degrade on your skin - can sunsticks have the same effects with reapplication?
I would like a good stick without fragrance.
That would be like if Americans could only digest rice grown in the US because of our American intestines 😂
Rosacea is a tenacious skin condition and I wish you the best of luck. Finding good doctors is hard.
Sound like your cosmetologist is ignorant *at best*.
Love your videos Michelle! Have you tried Dr. G and Scinic sunscreens?
Not yet! And thank you 🥰
I can’t tolerate Niacinamide in products and many contain that
I was just thinking about you and sunscreens, LOL
I have vitamin D deficiency, and I'm a vampire, and I was thinking do I need to wear sunscreen? Do sunscreens block production of vitamin D? I see sun so little, so I don't know if it's worth it to even put on one.
Australian recommendations are to use sunscreen with UV Index of 3 and above, and, as far as I know, they were made by a panel of different doctors, taking both cancer prevention and Vitamin D needs into account.
I've heard many times that sunscreen can never cause vitamin D deficiency, since ocasional sun exposure is already enough to produce vitamin D. I find it a bit dubious, since vitamin D deficiency is a thing in countries where there isn't as much sun 🤔
And especially in your case, it really should be carefully thought out.
Having the opinion of both your family doctor and a dermatologist would be a good idea, if possible! 🙂
0:40 video not available for wet t-shirt competition lol 😂
BoJ sunscreen is so good bought many bottles!
Can you review Lancaster Monaco sunscreens ? They claim to protect from all visible light and infrared...
I’d love to get your thoughts on Purito sunscreen please? I was about to purchase it and then read about it not being as good as it claimed.
Thoughts about Eucerin tinted sunscreen? it only uses Zinc. Thank you!!!
How many pumps of the SKIN1004 Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum would you say are required for the face on average?
Just get a 1/4 teaspoon and see how many pumps it takes to fill up, it's a bit annoying to get it all out of the spoon after that to put on, but you only have to do it once to find out the number of pumps. 1/4tsp should be enough for face and neck, and personally I use half that amount if I'm doing face only.
@@simonsaysism the recommended amount of sunscreen is 1/2 a teaspoon if you’re doing both your face and neck
Of those which one would be suitable to go on top of psoriasis scales
Hello i love you… can u answer my question.. the tinted sunscreen in a glass bottle is it good… is it ruin spf cause of the packaging especially direct sunlight … example like maybelline fit me foundation glass bottle…
I worry that if I use the sunscreen stick to apply on top of a different sunscreen (for re-application) that it will no longer be effective since both have different formulas. Can you please clarify? ❤
