Hey Ramon! I must share I went through the beauty of joseon matte sunstick a few times this year. I am a sunscreen junkie and have accumulated a good amount by now which I love in the way they feel, ingredients, and initial look, howeveeer after a few hours I end up looking extra shiny. Here is where this sunstick came in handy. I use it every day to touch up on top of my regular sunscreens. I don't know what the magic is in this stick but regardless of me wearing a mineral or chemical sunscreen, it just always looks flawless on top of any of them and it definitely mattifies my skin. Since this is not my initial sun protection, just for reapplication throughout the day, I don't worry about me possible missing any spots, and I also don't go through it super fast as I imagine I would if this would serve as my only sunscreen. Hope this helps anyone that has stopped using a certain sunscreen because you end up looking like a light bulb like myself! Take care everyone! Btw Ramon, you’re amazinnnng! Thanks for creating a 10/10 product 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hands down best Matte sunstick ❤ I am talking from the most humid hot weather approved in India. Please Ramon please create more great products like this with the other brands.
My sun screen discovery of this year was the P.Calm Water Barrier Suncream. It melts into the skin within seconds. So good for my dry and dehydrated skin. I love it. Just one of best sun care products discoveries for this year. I wouldn't be without it. Happy New Year and thank you for your great content. You are so positive. Have a good one. 🎉🎉xx
Have u ever tried powdering it, I usually powder down my spf as I hate it when my hair sticks to my face. I'm looking for a enw spf that wont pill or clump when it's powdered.
@sup8668 the type of powder that you use also makes a difference. Powders that their primary ingredients are talc or silicone tend to pill more for me.
Thank you, Ramon! Whenever I try a product where people with dry skin say it’s is so light weight that it can work for oily skin, it never feels lightweight on my oily acne prone skin. But your reviews are always spot on for those of us with oily skin. ❤ 🙏
I am definitely going to try the beauty of Joseon sunstick! I am an oily girly, and it's hard sometimes to find a sunscreen that doesn't feel too heavy and doesn't add to my shine. Two of my favorite sunscreens are SKIN 1004 - Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water (MY HOLY GRAIL) and Isntree - Hyaluronic Acid Watery sunscreen!
I LIVE FOR WHAT YOU'RE WEARING!!! PER-FECTION!! Also i just love love love your content, Ramon. Your vibe plus the fact that you're a real pro= golden content.
the whole nivea 360 line is so good!! super affordable and such great formulas. i've bought the sunscreen time and time again; i love it. It's so good as a makeup primer. Nivea (Beiersdorf) have factories in Latin America, which makes it more readily available and affordable here. Highly recommend if you can get the products in this line!
Favorite sunscreens: Eucerin Oil control (European) Beauty of Joseon Matte Sun Stick (Good job on that one. Has a very nice matte finish. I use it a lot for reaplication.) Also like the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics. Love the texture and feel as well as the ingredients, but I don't like how shiny it makes my skin. Would prefer it over the Eucerin as a daily sunscreen, if it had a matte finish.
I love the eucerin oil control sunscreen, it is almost the only sunscreen that doesn't make my combination skin look oily, but it stings my eyes so bad if I put it anywhere near my eye contour
I found that LRP sunscreens don't sting the eyes (marketed for use around the eyes) but Eucerin oil control is so much better in terms of being matt and also acne safe.
The Nívea Luminous SPF 50 you bought in Germany is AMAZING…not sure if its promoted as such but its also oil controling…its easily found in any latín american drugstore…for us in Mexico also súper cheap…amazing under makeup honestly. Ive got several sunscreens on rotation and I havent put it down since I got it. I was interested in the anti-dark spot ingredients and wasnt expecting to be so blown away by it. Its a shame you cant get it in the US. Razita que tiene familia en Mexico y los visitan: PÍDANLES QUE LES LLEVEN UNO! 😆
ramon! i was just wondering, there’s a lot of advice of applying the right amount of sunscreen, is one layer of your BOJ matte sunstick enough? or do we apply more generously? i absolutely LOVE IT, it’s my holy grail, but it’s been a question on my mind.
Ramón you should try SVR, french brand, and Rilastil, Italian brand, both I believe cruelty free. Both offer nice chemical spfs (I steer away from zinc based spfs) both fragance free and non. Either brand has more traditional sunscreen textures, I suggest looking for the word fluid in the name, they offer a similar texture experience that you'd expect from K and J beauty formulations ❤
In the summer I now wear EU sunscreen (I reallly enjoyed the Eucern oil control I bought because of you. I don’t have oily skin so it took my skin a couple of days to adjust.). This year for my Asian Haul I couldn’t find many Japanese recommendations but a number of Korean jumped out. I got P. calm water Barrier and Numbuzin clear filter. I love them both and they’re both eye friendly! For last 2 years I’ve been wearing an American mineral stick (blue lizard). I do get major sun spots from American mineral sunscreens and hate to wear them but it keeps stinging sunscreen out of my eyes. I’m so happy to get good UVA protection on my eyelids from these. I’m very allergic to rice (yea, even topically) so I’ve not purchase ANY BOJ products. Does your sunscreen have rice in it? I’d love a stick with better UVA filters.
Is the beauty of Joseon stick sunscreen independently tested? I need a high PA rating because I’m on tretinoin, have literally the palest skin tone and get hyperpigmentation so easily 😢. Thank u so much Ramon for ur quality content as always. Your skin keeps improving and looks absolutely flawless nowadays I really feel like your recommendations are trustworthy because of how amazing your skin is ❤
Y’all…we can fly to the moon, but we still can’t invent an elegant spf that lasts all day without reapplying! Please somebody 😅 I’m not good at reapplying cause I’m a makeup wearer. I like sprays for reapplication. I spray at least 10 seconds, but not sure that’s enough. Favorite is still Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel.
I’m on my 3rd BoJ sun stick. Love it. Any tips on how to get the rest of the product out once you reach the point where it can’t come up anymore? I’ve been using a cotton swab to scrape the rest out.
My favorites is HARUHARU WONDER (yellow)and P.CALM WATER BARRIER got me thru humid hot summer sweating for my face… on my body I used many Suncut UV Gel KOSE & SKINAQUA yellow pumps waterproofs… I work outside all the time in my gardens I never want to be without these they need to make gallon jugs 🤣🤣🤣 I know they work bc I’ve actually gotten lighter this year it’s crazy … along with my 6” brimmed hat and uv jackets lol … I’m sure that I would love yours! I can’t stand dewy shine lol 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
@@foxatomic it is perfectly satin not dewy or matte or greasy looking it just looks like my skin super hydrated and plump and perfected I love it so much I’ve been wearing it non stop since I discovered it bc of the finish it’s the only one I’ve found that’s not got alcohol in it that is not too dewy for my sensitive skin
I think you should have tooted your own horn more about your stick. You knocked it out of the park. I'm autistic (sensory issues), have sensitive eyes (so most North American sunscreens are out because avobenzone), a makeup artist (so I want something that plays friendly with my light daily makeup), on tret and have psoriasis (so sometimes dry patches happen). The stick meets all my needs. It feels so good on my skin I have to force myself not to rub my skin. It doesn't burn my eyes. It works perfectly with my bb creams or powder foundations I use for daily use. The texture goes over dryness and makes a smooth base and it isn't drying at all for a matte sunscreen. I obviously don't use a stick if I'm going to be in direct sunlight, but for my indoor-loving, shade-seeking lifestyle this stick is my absolute go-to daily spf. You claim it's not a perfect formula. I beg to differ. Haha.
Hi. Ramon. I love love love your content! Will you please answer this question for me? Are there any sunscreens that I can apply on my skin and go outside immediately? I see some influencers apply sunscreen in the car and also outside like at the beach. I thought I had to wait 15-20 minutes before going outside. I highly value your expertise so what say you Ramon.
Every suncream is effective immediately they don't need to react with the skin or anything. It is just recommended that you put it 10-20min before going out so it had time to dry up and form a more solid film on your skin that won't rub as easy.
love love love the recommendations from you!! I am oily and used to live in south east asia which is really humid almost all year round. Now living in UK, you just give me the perfect selection of sunscreen in different climate. Can't wait to try on what you recommend this year!!
I don't trust korean sunscreens anyway. How did you find the finish of the hydro protect to be, I love the oil control body spf 50+ but might try the hydro protect if it is moisturising and still matt ?
@@ricco6270 I also like the oil control body for the summer months, the hydro protect is more matt and more lightweight on the face. Though I don't think it is more hydrating/moisturising as it is also pretty high in alcohol and a fluid rather than cream. And it is sadly not water resistant.
Korean sunscreen regulations aren't as strict as european standards. Also, after the purito scandal i'm never going to risk efficacy/protection over "cosmetic elegance" especially when i have amazing alternatives like Eucerin in germany.
@@morgianasartre6709 I found the oil control body to be quite lightweight and matt or pretty much invisible. Didn't know that it could get any better. Thanks for the reply though.
Nivea has some of the best sunscreen formulas, but they refuse to bring them to the South east Asian market. So I have to stick with any brands under the L'oreal umbrella.
The state-of-the-art technology of the UVMUNE sunscreens can never be Matte™, that's the point. For what they offer, they're dreamily cosmetically elegant. If a sunscreen "sinks in" and feels "like nothing on the skin," it's because it's true and that's the protection you're getting

It costs 25 EUR for 30 ML which is ridiculous and is not acne safe.

I love the Nivea UV Face Sensitive 50. It's fragrance free. It leaves the skin nourished with no greasy touch...😊 and it does not sting the eyes! 🎉
Nivea luminous skin care line is pretty good they sell the whole line in Mexico . I wonder when they will bring them to the states
In Brazil too (Nivea is huge in here)… Some of the most famous skincare brands in Brazil are German (Nivea, Bepanthen, Eucerin and etc)!
