The best exhaust sound comparison ever. Every sound comparison videos should be like this.
Thanks brother.
Totally agree!!!
One of the better exhaust reviews I have seen. Well done!
Thanks Dave. I appreciate that.
The Agostini Sounds pretty nice i like it over the stock exhaust . .. I love the Bike.. that V twin layout is the way it should be. . I love it!!!!
Thanks brother Al. I'm thinking we get you back on two wheels!! Thoughts??? 😀
Damn that's a great sound, gentle and classy with a mean note, and the looks of this bike... I'm in love.
above and beyond. very impressed by the noise quality and actions carried out.
I should be getting my guzzi v7 special tomorrow.
Great vid.
Thanks brother. Welcome to the channel. Congrats on the V7. I hope you post a vid of it!
Sounds great 👍. Nothing like saving weight and gaining some great sounds and hp.
Yeah I can't wait to hear it with the baffles out. Some guys say it's too loud but if so, I can pop them back in.
Thank you for taking the time to answer me ! I will most certainly buy a set of these Agostini . That sound is so inspiring , deep but not too . It makes this bike sounds like it’s living more than just breathing if you know what I mean . Thank you also for putting out these videos .Fun , cool and instructive !
Thanks my friend.
Love the sound of the Agostinis. They sound amazing ! 🎉
Excellent sound comparison video. Quality all the way through. Subscribed and liked!
Thanks brother. Welcome to the show! :)
Wow… nice video with lots of information and beautiful camera work… and no lane yap! Nice bike red valve covers are nice touch… love it all. Voilà… ça va, compris. All the BEST
Great comparison video and those Agostinis just sound fantastic!
Thanks my friend. Check out my mods vid if you are interested: ua-cam.com/video/F042l0ck1_4/v-deo.html
Love the exhaust and the red springs!!! You need to do a video where you mention all the modifications you’ve done.
That's a good idea. I recorded install vids of the parts and haven't edited them. But I'll do a vid on what I've done to it so far.
@@DucatiDiaries Have you looked into this? GT MotoCycles V7-V9 ECU Re-Flash Tool
@@stevemiller1203 I'm having my dealer do mine to hopefully keep the warranty in tact but I did look up those as well. What I'm really interested in now is a piston hit to upgrade the bike to 820cc for more power and torque. I'll post a video on it if I move forward with it. I just heard about it yesterday from Todd at GuzziTech. Gotta read up on it more.
Sounds perfect with the baffles. Nice bike. Good vid
Thanks man. I'm doing a performance tune on the bike as I type this so stay tuned for more Guzzi/Ducati/Mustang/GT350 content!!
They look wicked cool and sound much better than stock. Certainly worth the wait!
Thanks David. I can't wait to hear them without the baffles.
Nice review, especially all the sound comparisons. Keep up the hard work, put God first and everything will work out brother.
Thanks brother. Now that I'm done burning the midnight oil on this, I'm catching up with everyone's vids today (including yours I know you posted some). :)
Just ordered some for my V9 Bobber Sport. So stoked.
Great review!
Thanks brother.
That is too cool! I'm thinking of upgrading the exhaust on my 2013 V7 now
Did you upgrade? If so, what are your thoughts?
Magnificent video, thank you.
Sounds much better.congrats👍
Thanks brother.
WOW - I also watch the RACER TV vids and the pea shooter Agostino is the BEST on any bike. Thank you so much! You make my day. JP Blessings to you!
Thank you my brother. Blessings to you as well.
The exhaust are absolutely required. Nice video fam
Thanks brother.
Awesome video. Well done! Thank you
Thanks brother. I'm about to do this same review(albeit improved) for my 2020 Ducati Diavel 1260 S Termignoni race exhaust.
Great format for this video. Good editing skills. Definitely sound better. Could be a little louder for my taste but perhaps true volume doesn't quite come across in the audio
Such a sweet sound
Agostini--saves weight, looks awesome, sounds fantastic and just adds to that exotic over all look of the bike.
Heck yeah. Now I need to work on the front fork and rear suspension... They need updating badly. :o/ My only gripe about this bike.
@@DucatiDiaries that is most definitely one special bike.
Best exhaust rewiew ever.
Thanks Andrea! Much appreciated.
Yeah fair enough , pretty nice sound . Very good sound comparison! !
Haven't read all comments. Love everything Guzzi. Maybe more discrete Mic location. Only slightly distracting. Keep up the Great work. Cheers, brother.
Thanks brother. Much appreciated. I'm about to do a similar video for the Termignoni exhaust on the Diavel 1260s. I am planning a shorter monologue and I'll take your advice on the mic. Cheers.
Agreed with everyone else, it's a great review. I
My only critique is that a 4 min intro is a bit much, otherwise, great job :)
Thanks brother. I was thinking the same thing. I should have summarized it more quickly. I may upload just the exhaust drive-by's in the near future.
Perfect video. I’m sold I’m buying a pair for the 850 I just bought.
Which one did you get? I've been thinking of getting the Corse.
Very useful video! Did you ever get the ECU reflashed? if so, what were the results?
Big improvement in looks, weight and sound too! No brainer.
Agreed fully. Love it.
Im in love with the guzzi
Thanks brother. Stay tuned. Two cool mod videos on the way (one for performance)!
Great sound and not OTT with baffles in. 👍
oh yeah! approved.
That sounds great
Them carbon fibre exhausts look fab .
I’ve just ordered some Matt black mistral exhausts for my v7 carbon.
Wish I had seen these first.
don't sweat the Mistrals! another great product.
Beautiful sound the Agostinni ones
Agreed fully.
i ride a V7 stone and mine has ZARD pipes even sexier , but yer yours sounds good . just gotta love that guzzi twist
Amen to that brother!
I honestly didn't think I needed the Agostinis, but man how wrong I was! I got the same bike and really like the red suspension you have got. May I ask what windscreen you have - is it the Dart classic?
Just bought this 2018 bike new ( March 15th 2021 ) . Really happy to have cross your path ! I will upgrade for certain ! Where did you get them ? I found a place in California that sells them for near $900.00 us .
I ordered mine through my dealer in CT. They're expensive but worth every penny!
Great video, did you keep the DB killers in or you removed them ?
I kept them in.
Mandello Del Laro is the same small town as where is the Moto Guzzi headquarters and plant. They Guzzi factory also has a very nice museum with a huge collection Guzzi bikes. Entrance is free.
I go stock on this for various reasons, I understand the attraction to the after markets. But the stock Guzzi is not under engineered and it looks and goes fine, indeed its a classic understated beauty. Basically all the other technical reasons roll up into that if we are talking about a riding around or using for transportation bike.
As long as you don't have to be super quiet for your neighbors, this exhaust is really worth the spend. It sounds so bad-a$$ but it's not obnoxiously loud (Like my Termignoni's on my Diavel (but the DB killers fixed that)). So you could put these Agostini's on and still not disturb the neighborhood.
Sounds a lot better!
Thanks Charlie.
Agostini exhaust for sure. Would like to hear it going down the highway shifting all gears. Very nice sound!
Hi Gary. That's a great idea. I will do it as soon as we get some better weather.
Love your bike man. Looks amazing I am in between the carbon or the racer, for me carbon looks better but racer has ohlins and rev counter. Cheers
Two great choices. I would have considered the racer too but I had a Ducati Monster (S4R) that looks close to it. I went for the black and red. You can also get a black V7 and put the valve covers on as accessories too. But if you can get a Carbon Dark, they are limited in number so it's kind of a cool collectors thing. This is the first bike I'm planning on keeping (God willing) and adding more bikes hopefully soon (I really want to get another Ducati Diavel).
@@DucatiDiaries Have you ride it with a passenger ? if so, how was the experience for both ? Thanks
@@akula1055 I haven't ridden with a passenger but I think it's comfortable. It's definitely not too loud. On the bike, it is a deeper sound but a good sound. I've had louder bikes for sure. I think your passenger will be happy with it.
Hello! I’d like to order these exact same mufflers. I see a couple variants of Agostini for v7. Short muffler, long, 850 e5, and carbon fiber. A bit hard to see which you have. These ones are the carbon fiber? If you know, do the variants have different sound? Tysm for this video
This particular model is what I test drove as a demo. I had never heard of Moto Guzzi but the local dealer was having a demo day. Got on this one with some slip ons as well. The moment I cranked it over, the way the bike shakes made me fall in love! But I ended up going with the Rough trim. Simply because of the wheels it came with!
I'm thinking of getting that wind screen, how do you like it? Does it actually help?
I like it. I think it improves the look of the bike greatly.
How did you make your fortune? Beautiful bike by the way!
Beatiful bike man, congratulations. I have one V7 Carbon Dark too and already order a Agostini Carbon exhaust. Seeing your video make me some douts about the exhaust and the stetic with the all bike, it seems a litle to small and without a continuity along the pipe, unlike the stock exhaust. Well, it could be only my imagination, the truth is that sounds much better. Anyway, I am eger to see your next video about the exhaust without baffles. Nice video and thanks for sharing.
hey Luis I'm in the process of getting a Carbon Dark also, I might get the longer exhaust but bike sounds good!
Hi Steve, the V7 III Carbon is so beautifull that we shouldn't have any ideas on changing things. Is like an Opera, you take a couple of notes and you ruin it completly. But the sound of the exhaust could be much better with a diferent exhaust. Unfornunatly and for what I have seen the Agostini Exhaust's for the V7 have all this issue, they don´t go along proprely with the rest of the pipe. Only for the V9 they fit perfectly.
Hi Luis. Apologies for the delay. I was surprised by the shortness of the exhaust when I first saw it but then I realized the stock exhaust are just really long. I prefer the shorter (and lighter) Agostini's.
Hi Steve. The long ones look cool but the short ones grew on me (especially being 15-20lbs lighter than stock). Did you get your V7 yet?
Hi Luis. This particular exhaust (the carbon version) goes well with the bike. It matches the carbon fiber parts of the bike nicely.
Well done dude. The agostini sounds better.
V7 love that bike.
Nice job! Got the Mistrals and after 15.000 km their up at 105 dB doing revs....need to get them back to 90 dB for german police 😒
I haven't taken the baffles out of these yet but I want to soon!
The agostini sound totally bad ass
I have a '18 Carbon Dark. I too went with red spring shocks on the rear. Man, that Agostini sounds nice! Just not ready to drop another grand into this bike. I did full cartridges on the front to go with the new rear shocks. Bike handles great in the curves. I thought you could get a map from Beetle and use GuzziDiag to reprogram the fuel map.
Awesome. Mine needs front suspension badly. Stock is horrible. How is it before vs. after? Noticeable difference? I'm working on a another Moto Guzzi video right now. Stay tuned.
@@DucatiDiaries , I went with the Traxxion Dynamics Fully Adjustable Cartridges. Great team and now there is no "overriding" the suspension.
@@peterlindner5300 , congratulations. I hope it will not disappoint if you currently exploit the full potential of the Griso. I went with Bitubo shocks with rebound damping instead of just red springs. I chose Bitubo because I wanted to stay Italian where possible. I recently added Mistral short exhaust and it sounds good without being too loud
🔥
Nice! Keep them coming. Bryan where are you in NY
Hi Jeff. I work in White Plains and live on the border of South Salem. What about you?
I live in Grass Valley Ca but will soon be buying a house on Lake Champlain where I grew up. Gonna rent it out till the wave crashes in Ca. Then audio’s California
Dear all, I just picked up my Moto Guzzi Carbon Dark with the Agostini's Carbon Fiber exhaust without baffles and the sound is realy awesome. Much loud than and amazing more than the sound you show in the video...ahahahahah.I love it everything, Amazing motocycle. Eger to see your next video about Agostini's exhaust without baffles. keep us informed.
Awesome. Did you get the tune with it?
@@DucatiDiaries No I didn´t. What is that ?
Principal aspects to Improve performance on V7III;
- GT remapped ECU, even with everything else stock
- remove/plug the evaporative emissions system junk.
- improved mufflers/exhaust system (with updated ECU map for it)
- remove the secondary air intake system (to eliminate popping and spitting) with the GT SAS kit.
- improved front suspension
- improved tires
- improved rear suspension.
Well, I don´t know if that realy helps once the V7 III 2018 was already been improved by the fatory. I will wait to gain more experience and read more about it.
Hi, it would be nice to see another video about the V7 Carbon Dark (baffles out or more horse power ) ... thx
Hey my man what a great and deep review - well done. You said now that you got the new pipes you have to get a "tune on that setup" what do you mean by that? Is there a calibration necessary after switchin´to the new Exhausts?
I'm waiting for my Agostini for my V9, can't wait.
The dealer recommends a tune, but frankly I don't see the need. I'm only getting the tune because I heard it improves the ridability of the V7 platform and also because I'm going to be taking out the baffles, which would definitely run lean without a tune. I'll be doing videos on the tune, baffles, etc. as it gets a bit warmer.
@@DucatiDiaries thanks for the quick reply 🙌
@@DucatiDiaries The sound on this Vid, is that with the baffles / DB Killers? I'll will order mine Within 2 weeks :)
@@jhakk5403 Baffles were in. I'm going to do a video soon with them out though.
Just installed this on my new Guzzi V7 Centenario. Bought it cause of this video.
I almost cream in my pants everytime I pull away from a stoplight. Sounds so fricking good
Ago Cans look awesome. No brainer :-)
Thanks brother.
I got the all black version and they sound terrific (and loud) so I didn't bother taking out the baffles
Awesome. Hope you post some vids!
Do you lose the catalytic converters or no? I just traded for one of these, the v7iii rough in CT. Great bike so far, easy to ride
Nope just better sound. =)
Do you need to remap if I get the Agostini slip ONS?
Agostini the best🤙
What flyscreen did you install?looks really nice... great video btw
Thanks brother. I went with the Dart Classic Flyscreen. Love it.
@@DucatiDiaries ooh wow,I saw that online but did not realise it looks that good 😊 thx for answering my question!
I am in talks with the Agostini dealership in Madello to get mine shipped. Do you recall how much did you have to pay for Custom Duty for US shipment ?
I got mine from the dealer ($1,000) and I think he got them from AF1Racing.com. I just checked and they only have black at the moment but in my opinion, they look better than the carbon and they're cheaper ($799). Here's the link. Their website is a little slow.

Great review buddy. Let's catch up for a ride next season. I am from CT too and ride a V7 Cafe Classic.
Sounds good brother. Can't wait for the ride! What town are you from?
@@DucatiDiaries I'm from Vernon. Just off of CT 83
What kind of helmet is that with the face guard?! Looks so nice
It's this one (very reasonable) www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/ls2-of569-helmet-solid
The one in the image there is the older one. The one I have (newer) is nicer. I also use a Shark S-Drak Carbon Fiber, which is my coolest helmet ever. Both of these offer minimal protection though. For longer rides, I have a Nexx X-Vilitur Carbon.
Here's the S-Drak: www.fc-moto.de/epages/fcm.sf/?channable=e78948.ODEyNjE1Mjcx&ObjectPath=/Shops/10207048/Products/Shark-S-Drak-Jet-Helmet/SubProducts/Shark-S-Drak-Jet-Helmet-0003&Locale=en_US&gclid=Cj0KCQjwwr32BRD4ARIsAAJNf_1GX_QBsgGBQ4-dB4lUt8cRBCWMN-UoiusHrXWAUjcvqKaU15NN36oaAn_wEALw_wcB
great video,Agostini hands down. I'm thinking about buying that exact model,it's a demo for $7000. I don't know how reliable the V7 is? Do you have any information about this you can pass on? Greatly appreciated, thanks Mark
Hi Mark. I think $7K is an absolute steal. I got mine for just under $10K after a $1K manufacturer discount. I would have snapped up that $7K for the demo. Ok so firstly, I came from a Ducati Diavel, which is a beast of a bike. Break-neck torque and power. So I knew getting into the V7 was just going to be something to take slow rides on and kick around town on. However, I was actually pleasantly surprised with the torque of the bike (it's much lighter than the Duc too, which helps. Plus these cans just took another ~20lbs off too). My gripe with this bike is the front and rear suspension is not the greatest. That's my only gripe. But you can upgrade them. You can also tune the bike and even upgrade the pistons to 820cc for more power, which I'm looking into doing hopefully soon. This is the first bike I've actually decided I'm keeping instead of selling to get another bike. I want another Ducati Diavel (1260s) and if that ever happens, I'll have two bikes. Who knows, if the channel takes off, maybe I'll get a few bikes going. :) But in summary, I recommend the bike.
Thanks very much for the reply. I don't need to go all that fast so the power is just fine for me. I really enjoyed the bike when I test rode it, with all it's character and vibes. Your bike looks great with the red springs, new pipes and all. I'll be checking in with what your doing on the bike. Thanks again Mark..
@@mkoehler222 Sounds good. Let me know what you end up doing.
Did you have to get the bike a new flash/mapping for the agostani exhaust?
No but it's recommended. I did ultimately tune the bike and I don't know if I felt a difference or not. LOL
Hey, just curious if you had any problems fitting the Agostinis? I have just gotten the same ones for my V7III and they do not line up with the existing mounting spots. About 1.5" off... Wondering if I am doing something wrong... Any tips would be appreciated!
Hi. I actually had mine installed by my dealer and they seem to be a great fit. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
@@DucatiDiaries No problem, thanks. BTW, are the baffles in for this video?
@@SurferDoodsSC Hi. Yes they are in. And it's nice and loud but one day I will try with them out and make a quick video of it.
would this work for the v9 bobber too?
I like the way you talk haha
Thanks brother. Stay tuned. I have a couple motorcycle vids coming out over the next few days.
Best review of stock vs Agostini on UA-cam! Was thinking of doing exactly this before I found you! Props!! Any suggestions on mounting it? Or straight forward? Greetings from Cologne
Thanks mein kamerad. So far I love the Agostini exhaust. The slipons are very easy to install yourself. I had mine installed at the shop because I was lazy. :)
@@DucatiDiaries Hallo mein Freund aus der weiten Welt! Just a heads up. I received my Agostinis yesterday! Felt like Christmas as a little boy, just to realize that the catalyst was missing. Yes, in Chermany that's a thing, Agostini should inform about. Wrote to them, instant call back from Luca from Agostini, great support to mention, I'll get my cat and then I'll share my experience with you. Happy to connect if you'll wish a joined Guzzi ride around Cologne area + 200km! 🤜
What's the reasoning for the tune? Is it necessary only for riding without baffles, or is there a performance or reliability purpose for a tune even with baffles in?
I heard the bike runs lean after installing the more breathable exaust with the tune. However, I haven't had any problems with the bike. I do plan on tuning it though as I heard good things about the tune (smoother power, etc.).
I like the classic look of these bikes and I don't think carbon fiber belongs anywhere on it. IMO. Also, with no baffles, don't you need an ECU retune? Besides losing low end power with no back pressure, you're risking burnt valves. This ain't 1975 and Moto Guzzi knows a thing or two about engine tuning.
100% better. Minimum. Sounds beautiful.
Can't wait to try with the baffles out.
@@DucatiDiaries OMG drool. Agreed.
great vid and damn nice bike-how .how much for the silencer?
Thanks brother and welcome to the channel! The Agonstini's cost $1,000. So they are a bit steep but well worth it. I need to get the bike tuned next. Coming soon.

Thank you, my friend! Do you ride a Guzzi?
@@DucatiDiaries yes the black one is mine!
Well done. Girly man vs. studly - choose accordingly.
Did you change the springs yourself? Easy job?
So.... i changed the springs myself. Dead easy and no spring compression required. Just spin off the locking nut and adjuster. 10 minute job. Also.... i got the Agostinis in black. Total balls up. The bracket on the right hand pipe was 2 1/2 inches out. The bracket had been put on the wrong way round!!!!!
I binned them back to ago, money back and got myself a cheeky set of Norman Hyde pipes. UK based exhaust guru since 1975. They sound the dogs bollocks and fitted like a glove. Also came with nice small heat shields to disguise the clamps. Which for the prices of Agostinis is shocking they don't come with them. The Agostinis just look unfinished at the clamp areas. Total cost was £379 including free shipping. No brainer for me. So Norman 1 - Agostini Nil.
I'm going to have to check out the Norman Hyde pipes. I just got a Diavel and now I want Termignoni exhaust (it never ends) but they're $3,000 / £2,381. :o( I need an additional job! Cheers mate and God bless.
Takes the whine/whistle out. Sounds great, but first mod has to be a tac. Bit pricey.
Would these exhausts be too loud for highway cruising?
No, not at all. They sound great. However, I usually put ear plugs in when I ride any motorcycle on the highway.
I can’t see properly but are they with or without the dB killers?
That was with the DB killers in.
@@DucatiDiaries good Lord almighty, they sound delicious.
Are you sure the baffles are out? Looks like they are still visible
No I haven't taken them out yet. I'll do a video with them out when it gets warmer though.
How’s that flyscreen on the interstate?
Yes, there's a good improvement but if you're going to spend a lot of time on the highway, you may want a bigger one.
Definitely the carbon exhaust sounds much better!!! The stock exhaust is whimppy as hell lol. 🏍💨💨💨💨💨
Yeah that stock exhaust was embarrassing. LOL
