Mazda has some of the best headlights
Thanks for bringing us another nighttime POV!! Mazda makes some sexy headlights & tail lights! I love them. Thanks for bringing us another Mazda. I’ve owned 5-6 of them and all have been fun, affordable, and very reliable little Japanese cars with 200 hp or less. My parents started buying them in Summer of 1989 and passing them down to us kids and they’ve don’t that since then! I’ve inherited a few and my siblings have as well. We drive the wheels off of them, and keep them maintained. Funny that Mazda started out as a cork producing company!

Yes, Mazda missed a lot of opportunities with the interior lighting. Even the Nissan Sentra has the ambient lighting down. Would love it if the Mazda3 had that.
It’s corny. Even in a Mercedes.
I like that you spotlight & highlight (lol) the trunk (cargo area) lighting. In all seriousness tho, what I’ve started doing is buying my own LED lights from the store like Target and place them around my car. Each light cost me about $10 and takes 3 AAA batteries. They’ve been a tremendous convenience despite me having to tap on them when I need light. Not a perfect solution but better than no light. And they don’t need their batteries replaced often at all no more than I use them.

Do it. Its such a fun car. Had mine for over a year now and I still look forward to each drive back from work even when I'm tired.
I’m 2 minutes in and laughed when I saw the finger pointer!!! Hahaha Mike you are too much! I have used the pointers you sent me so much! Everyone gets a kick out of them and how I use them to draw attention to silly things!

Wow these night time reviews are so helpful!! I had no idea the glove box and center console storage would disappear at night! That’s both enlightening & illuminating! Hahaha - I do what you said and keep a little Maglight™️ brand flashlight in the car so I can use it when needed which is almost every night drive!

It’s actually a separate set of leds that illuminate when you turn on the high beams. If you look into the projector closely you can see the 2 rows of leds on on top of the other. I think there is a total of 12 led chips and 5 are for the high beams. You can see this effect better if you park close to a wall and turn them on!

How to switch from a back camera to front
Are ya trying to find something wrong with this car?. The car is perfect. I own a 2021 mazda R3 hb...and the good far outweighs the bad.

What's the range on 1 full tank of gas? I read somewhere it's as low as 200 miles.

My 94 GSR gets 200 miles to the tank. Half a race car tho...this has to be getting atleast 23mpg city and 33-39 highway.
With my 2019 Skyactiv-X hatchback I get between 420 and 550 miles, depending how much city and motorway driving I do

A flashlight, really? You can switch on the ceiling lights by the push of a button and there are also two reading lights that you can switch on too, if you need it. You don't really have to open the doors while you drive to illuminate the interior, you know? ;)
Even when all the lights in the vehicle are on there are many dark areas that require a flashlight.
@@MikesCarInfo Pull over in those cases. Why are you messing with the glove box or inside the arm rest while you're activly driving? I prefer it darker inside the cabin so there's less distracting lights while driving.

Honestly, needing a flashlight if you drive a night is a bit much. I owned a 16 year old civic that had even less interior lighting and it's not an issue 99% of the time unless you're in the middle of no where on some country road. If i'm opening the arm rest or the glove box, i'm not driving.
I live in the middle of nowhere on some country road. You will not need a flashlight WHILE driving but you will need one if you want to get something out of a compartment at night.

My 2010 Mazda 3 GT had std.interior ambient lighting. Door cards, floorboards and center console. No door open courtesy lights, rare on Mazdas after 2003. After 2011, Mazda started making interior ambient lighting optional. Odd move for a brand that wants to move upmarket. The steering wheel although nice to look at, isn't funtional. Mazda wants u to drive vehicle, yet makes it increasingly difficult for you to do so safely. Mazda, rethink your steering wheel button placement and visibility. Reposition the info screen closer to front seats. 10"min.. with full touchscreen capability, volume and tune knobs.

I agree, the one thing that lets this car down is ambient lighting. It's the sole reason I opted for the Golf. I did consider this car but I thought the interior was nowhere near as modern as my new Golf re mood lighting
I have a 08 3 and I find it odd that this doesn't have a glove compartment light.
As an affordable luxury brand, I think the interior lighting is where Mazda tried to cut off to minimize budget cost. Just my opinion I guess.

If you do not know what you put in your trunk or your door pockets...don't use them. Sounds like this guy wants food lights every where. For those of you pack rats cramming your trunk with useless objects....buy a stick up light.
