Great work. Did the same about 3 years ago. Was very hands on and very stressful but seeing it today makes me feel so proud. You have done very well. Keep it up
Hi Justin, that's a lovely extension. It would nice if you share the how you changed the old kitchen into a bedroom. I am also looking forward to see the full house tour. Best wishes.
Well done Justin!!🥂🥳🎊 Looks fantastic, you and your fiancé must be so pleased. Currently doing a refurb too (converting a one bedroom flat to a 2 bedroom - so have moved the kitchen to create an open plan kitchen/living room space) so totally appreciate what you guys have been doing. As you say it's such a privilege to be able to experience managing a project like this especially as it your home too. Many congrats and I hope you have many happy meals in your new kitchen 😊
Your soldier bricks give a nice finish, and your yellow bricks make the project complimentary to the original building. So much better than just cheaply adding on what you need the extension looks as though it really belongs. XXX
Absolutely class to see mate. Harry here from West Sussex on my other channel. Love your progress, it feels me with motivation to see all this success can be achieved.
Wow, thank you for sharing your journey with us, I’m currently doing a loft conversion and soon starting a single story extension in my house it is fu*king headache 😂 but like you said it’s one of the most amazing and proudest experience seeing it progress day by day
Well done man, I have been following the process and it's good to see things coming together. I learnt a lot doing up my house so I relate to the sense of pride. I look forward to more vids like this 👍
The style of the red bricks over the openings is called 'Soldier' - because they stand up all in a row like soldiers. Sometimes you will see 'falling soldiers' on the top of a low wall (usually at the front of a house) which are sloping all in a row (cos they are falling ..). Just thought you might be interested to know that, Justin 😁
It looks absolutely gorgeous Justin. Agree with comment below, would be lovely to see the rest of your renovated bungalow. Well done, really happy for you both. : )
Hey mate thanks for the vid! Currently looking at howdens kitchens myself, looking at the chillicomb which I think is that you have in the vid… what’s the rough cost of the kitchen if you don’t mind me asking not including fitting. Our heart is set in the chillicomb, but haven’t looked elsewhere Thanks
Hi Jordan, had a quick look through paperwork and think it might have been called Clerk? Can’t completely remember the name of the range at howdens. Rough quote initially was £12k, then I negotiated it down to £6.5k by getting other quotes and using a discount scheme! Good luck with yours, and questions let me know!
Why do these renovation videos fail to mention the cost? It would be so useful to see how much it cost to get that result. Any build can look good if you throw buckets of money at it so the actual cost is important.
Do appreciate it would be useful, but it’s also a cost I’d rather keep to myself until the property is sold in the future. This video was to show the journey rather than share the costs
Nice one. Justin wanted to ask you would you say this is the right time to invest in a property with the increase in interest rates and likely property prices
I personally believe all the time is the best time... timing the market is incredibly difficult to get right, its neither ideal to buy during a busy/hot market, nor in a downturn or recession (its not ideal for different reasons). Therefore, I personally prefer to keep buying throughout all markets, just focus on getting good deals at all times, and play the long term game!
😂 yes! Two of them in fact. We were very lucky that they are a) very easy going cats, and b) that I’d already finished the majority of the refurb in the front half of the bungalow - so there was a clean place for them live!
Wow! What an incredible transformation. Well done.
Thanks mate! About time I finished the bungalow eh 😅🙏

Yes I will definitely include a full tour at some point and show the changes there 🙂
Me too. I’m considering buying a bungalow so this is really helpful x

Hi Justin. What was the cost of your kitchen extension?
Lovely transformation! How much did this cost please Justin?
£50k-£100k depending on how much you do yourself
Quality work, how much did it cost for the rear extension?
Your soldier bricks give a nice finish, and your yellow bricks make the project complimentary to the original building. So much better than just cheaply adding on what you need the extension looks as though it really belongs. XXX
Thanks Caj! We're really pleased with the finish :D

Cheers Harry! Appreciate it a lot mate, thanks for watching 🤝🤝

Cheers Jack. Always appreciate you watching mate 🔥

It’s great finishing a property and seeing it all come together whilst being there everyday!
Excellent build. Do your windows open? I didn’t see any plumbing in the floor for the sink etc?
Well done Justin, it looks amazing
Cheers Daniel 🤝
Amazing Justin!
Looks Great!
Thanks Carlos! 🙂

Yes I’m glad you mentioned it, I had no idea! Thanks Jo!
Hi mate. Extension looks great. Trying to price one up similar. What would be a estimated cost on a job like this?
Hi what was the rough costs for the various elements e.g. Windows, Kitchen, Flooring etc
Great video , the extension looks amazing!
Thanks Jacko! 😃
It looks absolutely gorgeous Justin. Agree with comment below, would be lovely to see the rest of your renovated bungalow. Well done, really happy for you both. : )
Thanks very much! 🙂
Will make sure to do a full video tour once it’s all completely finished and skirting painted!
Great video! 👍 I'm also looking to extend my bungalow. Would be great to hear how much it costs and the savings you made. Thanks!
What slimline dishwasher did you go for? I’ve got a Zanussi and it’s 👎
🙂Great video and extension. Can you let me know the builders you used please - I leave in east Hampshire (Horndean).
Sure, drop me a Dm on insta @justinnwilkins
Looks a great job well done

Amazing! Superb extension, would you be able to share a ballpark price range?
Hello Justin,is you roof a warm or cold roof,if cold roof where did you vent it on the house side...thanks
💪🏼 looks awesome!
Cheers Samuel 🥂
Do you recall the name of the worktops you used in the kitchen?
It’s called Caldeira 👍🏻
Great vid, planning on something similar next year. Do you mind me asking what sort of cost it was?

Well done my bro! Any good builders you can suggest in the south east London area? Thanks.
As many other people have said, it would be useful to know how much it cost, especially when the video description said it would say!
Thanks for watching, but I never mentioned I was sharing the cost anywhere

Well done. It looks amazing. Do you mind sharing how much the project cost you?
I will do soon in a future video 🙂
Did you tie into existing house? When doing the block walls putting rebar in between (drilled holes) lol how u paid someone to do everything?
No I thought we’d leave it separate from the main house and just hope they stay together 🤪
Nice video, does your Plasterer, Johnny, have a company?
Sure - enquire through shell-build.co.uk and Johnny will be in touch 🤝
Interesting. Like Grand Designs but on a smaller scale 😜
😂😂 that was the goal
Genuine question, was that a cat i saw in the window? how did you keep a cat in the house during a refurb!!😁
😂 yes! Two of them in fact. We were very lucky that they are a) very easy going cats, and b) that I’d already finished the majority of the refurb in the front half of the bungalow - so there was a clean place for them live!
Good job.
Thanks! 😀
Where’s the link for the builders please?
Hi! Drop me a Dm on instagram @justinnwilkins and il link you to their page
How long did this take!? Only just come up in my feed seems like forever… well done though!
12 weeks total, so pretty good going for an extension. Just took me a while to create the video 😂
perfect Justin. you improved yourself too much. its good to see your progress. kitchen cabinets looks very expensive. how much was that? ::::)
Justin geeat job
Cheers Stephen 🤙
Looks great xxx
I think a pitched roof and no ceiling to open up the space would have worked brilliantly
Not sure my wallet would have agreed 😂
congrats!
Thanks! 🔥
You managed to live there the whole time?
Haha yes! Slummed it for several months to achieve the end goal 😃
The only question is what’s the total spend?? 😊
didnt give idear of cost for his extension
Didn’t say I was going too
Thx, great video ...... How much? 70K- 100K
