*I'm thrilled you created this!* It reminds me of my incredible journey from humble beginnings to achieving a comfortable life, earning a generous income of $89k biweekly, and a new chapter of financial freedom.
its luck, it's me just being at the right place at the right time. I met a financial and trading consultant at a seminar back at Los Angeles later last year, where she was featured and interviewed and I reached out to her afterwards. Her name is Elizabeth Ann Hanson, I didn't know much about trading and investing so I spoke to her about it, she then later introduced me to her platform where I and other people could invest.
First people discovered that sex sells just about anything you're selling. Then they learned that anger is the real sales leader. People want something to blame for their lives.
I have a memory coming back right now : there is this girl that was doing science blogs, and one day she made a small error (on the date of a discovery or smth) thousands angry men came to her comments to explain her how she got it wrong, and her website visits exploded. And now, she always add a small error every time to her blogs to bring all the angry men to comment and bring her more visits. I also heard of a french (girl) youtuber who is doing this in her History video, making small errors to bring more comments and engagement from angry men (it's making me wonder if ragebait is working better with men ?)
A good example of this is those squid game puzzle filter tiktoks. The people constantly mess up despite the obvious solution and claim it's impossible, it is so clearly engagement farming that I fall for sometimes myself.
The strongest human emotion is anger, and all other emotions are just different depictions of it or when we have less of it. The most memorable moments in life will usually be anger and sadness since they both correlate a lot.
Ragebait is a dangerous game to play, go too hard and people will just block you. On UA-cam "Don't recommend channel" works well. While platforms love engagement they're also perfectly happy to help you create a filter bubble, and gradually creators that use this tactic filter their audiences away, because people almost never go into their blocklists and undo them, from that point on you're dead to them. Then your audience is people who cant figure out the tools offered by the platform and new accounts. If your career is appealing to kids who just starting using the internet (who will also eventually block you), constantly chasing trends to appear to new audiences (who will also eventually block you) and dumb people, have at it I guess.

Imagine being so bad at drinking you inspire a rehabilitated alcoholic to get back into drinking
Ragebait is like "Give me that, let me show you how it's done" feeling.
Ragebait is just the natural evolution of trolling, watered down clickbait/farming but now with a purpose.

1:24 actually why i left twitter
Unironically good for you. Never used Twitter because it seems like a black hole for time and energy with no reward.
Bet ur still there
100000000%
There are unironic Twitter/Bluesky bots that are made to literally generate a response that disagrees with everything you say. It's actually fucking genius.
This is why I don't use twitter
And those who proactively do it need to be jailed without trial mediately

I love that tire repair was brought up cause I've worked as a tire tech who's done tire repairs for free unless it was deemed unrepairable and it's so ridiculous how cheap ppl are with repairing there tires they get cheap Walmart garbage and make it more difficult for us to repair then if they just came in the first time to get it fixed it's free, and really reliable when done right.
It’s easy not to fall for rage bait if you’re not chronically online or just aren’t on social media at all. UA-cam is the only social media I still have and it’s pretty easy to tell when something is rage bait because of how common that stuff is mow
No it isn't
Nah
So this is how humanity ends, not with a bang out a pang of irony as it goads itself into devouring itself.

I wish there was a way to click a box to eliminate rage bait on social media.
I've taught my little niece that those ads play badly on purpose to make us rage and try the game ourselves to do better and last time I saw her she despised them and paid them no mind.
but on the other hand you're right, I got into hard metroidvanias like hollow knight and cuphead after not playing them since I was a child because people were talking about that journalist being so bad at cuphead and I thought "it can't be that hard can it".
and it wasn't and I really enjoy that genre of games again.
Well no ofc not. You could never be as bad at video games then game journalists so no matter what they say is hard it’s gonna be easy for us to

Typical ragebait political comment on a major newsfeed page on a post not related to politics from an AI generated profile picture of a rainbow fire hydrant in front of a fire or burning buildings, had a super basic first and last name, perfect grammar, no emoticons, locked profile, wouldn’t reply to anyone. at the right place at the right time.
Elizabeth Ann Hanson's doing she's changed my life. A BROKER- like her is what you need.
Lovely! I enjoyed it like I enjoy a $100k monthly around the turn!!!

First people discovered that sex sells just about anything you're selling. Then they learned that anger is the real sales leader. People want something to blame for their lives.
Because they refuse to take accountability for their own actions

I have a memory coming back right now : there is this girl that was doing science blogs, and one day she made a small error (on the date of a discovery or smth) thousands angry men came to her comments to explain her how she got it wrong, and her website visits exploded. And now, she always add a small error every time to her blogs to bring all the angry men to comment and bring her more visits. I also heard of a french (girl) youtuber who is doing this in her History video, making small errors to bring more comments and engagement from angry men (it's making me wonder if ragebait is working better with men ?)

Imagine getting outsmarted by a man who baited you into going on a tirade about his stupidity
Anyone who saw that and isn't believing their eyes needs help. There is a scary amount of them out there...
A good example of this is those squid game puzzle filter tiktoks. The people constantly mess up despite the obvious solution and claim it's impossible, it is so clearly engagement farming that I fall for sometimes myself.
That kind of engagement bait has been done a lot in those trash mobile ads since 2018
Ragebait uses the natural human reaction of wanting something stupid to not be stupid anymore
