Based on the vid the cops left the dog there and the dog was there all that time until a regular citizen took it to the vet, the cops basically called once, didn't get answer so they gave up on what they thought was pet of the murdered victim that would help verify the victim faster than expertise.
the cops didnt do jack shit. They abandoned the dog there the entire night. They prob would never have made the connection until a citizen took it in the next morning and its chip was scanned. Why are you giving them any credit?
@@ApocalypticBlades I mean they came there to find murder, burned victims could still be identified up to certain point but it would take people and time, it's still fucked up a pet that they even assumed was the owners was just left there not to be even scanned anytime soon, it is also a good question why police couldn't get animal control, why can't they check the chips on the dogs themselves or at least have this equipment available not only during the working hours. Also they took the guy eventually.
if you watch the original video the cops actually tried to get the dog into their possession, but it was frightened and wouldnt let them near it. they were fairly concerned.
@_espo_5524 Simply put police will not often risk approaching an unknown dog because they don't want to risk being bit. I'm sure there's some kind of red tape that often prevents them from doing so. After all the first officer DID attempt to call the dog over, but due to the standoffishness and barking I'd bet he thought better than trying to catch the dog himself. You've got to remember they don't have the same tools as animal control- that being catch sticks that keep the dog at a safe distance while leashing them (they're also unlikely to buy these things because that's the point of animal control, the police don't regularly handle dogs). We also don't know what animal control told them. I've called animal services at night before and they've told me they'll come out in an hour, only for them to never actually come. Sadly, the police can't afford to be wasting time on a murder case trying to catch a dog without being bit, especially when, as far as they know, they've already entrusted that care to animal services.
The fact that Titan stuck around the area for that long is so heartbreakingly sweet. We truly don't deserve dogs. And kudos to the officers on the case, paying attention to the dog and not handing the dog over to just whoever tried to claim it. Sadly, that happens a lot of the time with inmates, where they revert to their old ways. I worked in state government for a couple years, and saw it all the time.
My grandfather had Parkinson’s dementia so he would get agitated but couldn’t yell very loudly. My dog would sit on his lap and just bark whenever he needed someone. She is such a natural born therapy dog. She was also good at leading people where she wanted, and when I am home she will often go get me and lead me to someone else when she wants to be around both of us
Sometimes you can't help everybody. Even family. It's disgusting that his brother was so upset that he got life in jail, but not concerned about his dead cousin
@@AnnabelRoss6789 That could've been possible or she could've just been a genuinely sweet and caring person that wanted to help a family member. It could've been both.
Nature is amazing man. When my deaf cat got tangled into my dad's fishing wires, my dog started barking like crazy and running around frantically. At first my dad thought he wanted to play but I kept noticing my dog going to hallway and back, as if he wants us to follow him. We followed him until he reached dad's room, which he's not allowed to enter so he just started barking at the doorway and that's how we found my cat tangled. The dog only calmed down after he saw us untangle him. Never underestimate animals man 😭
dogs are truly man’s best friend. I lost my dog recently to cancer and had to make the difficult decision to put him down. Watching this video really made me miss my lil guy but made me so proud of the doggo for bringing justice to his killer.
I'm so sorry for your loss 😢 I understand how difficult it is, and how empty it feels without our best friend... But I'm sure they had a good life with you. And that matters tremendously. Take care
thinking about how that poor guy stayed all night besides the burnt remains of his owner in a thunderstorm is legit tearing me to pieces and then there is this depraved shithead on the phone saying „now there‘s a deceased person like omg“ knowing full well what‘s up
@WessyD123 he wasn't pretending to be gay, he was pretending to be the woman he killed. What gay men and straight women have in common is a feminine style of speech.
This happened down the street from me. I’ve lived in Robinson for 8 years and this was the saddest thing ever. We all thought it was an illegal trash fire or a lightning strike before the news broke.
That is horrifying and heartbreaking to think about, the whole thing. The dog staying by her owner’s side while she was burning, the person pretending to be the victim, the fact that he killed his own cousin who showed him nothing but hospitality, then tried to dispose of her body by burning it beyond recognition, as if that would save him. And the fact that his brother tried to cover for him and hit someone who rightfully convicted him??? The whole thing is awful, I hope he has the worst, most depressing, most mind-breaking prison experience possible.
This is one of the more sad crime stories ive heard. With every detail its more heartbreaking. And that poor dog loved her so much 😭 so you know she was an amazing person 😭😭
A heavy heart of sorrow to the family, and the dog. The dog had to witness and cry for help, staying by her side watching and memorizing the horrors he just saw until help came. That poor dog. I know he's got to be shaking to this day just thinking about his owner.
A likely Scenario is that he raped her and it became violent and killed her. Perhaps he didn't kill her randomly or for money, there had to be a reason.
bro the guy pretending on the phone doesn’t even sound like a girl and straight-up drops the voice midway through the call, idk how the hell he thought that was convincing
my mates dog was inn a car accident with my mate. He had a siezure and crashed into parked cars. His dog jumped out the window ran into a fast food store and barked at them wagging and carrying on until people realised he was trying to lead them to his owner in the car. I later had the dog when my mate passed away and i couldn't love him more for saving my mates life earlier. Or i wouldn't of had a few more years with my best mate. He was rocky and a pittbull. People are soo quick to judge pitties..but they are the best!!!
It baffles my mind as to how her own cousin is so ungrateful for getting at least an opportunity to get off the streets. Not only that but if he was willing to murder his own cousin that HELPED him, i wonder how many others he is capable of hurting and if he even has a limit on who.
@@Freekymoho I wouldn't even compare him to an animal. Considering what Titan did, comparing the murderer to an animal is insulting to Titan the Best Boy (I feel ok saying that because my dogs are both girls, lol)! Sub-human slime is more accurate.
I strongly feel some people are wired differently and are a lost cause. This type of person is not fit for society nor should they ever allowed be again.
dogs will absolutely communicate if you listen. once my grandmother had gotten knocked down and injured her back so she couldn't get up, and our one dog ran to where my dad was and wouldn't stop barking and whining at him until he directly followed him to my grandma. dogs are crazy observant
My dog wasn’t formally trained but she taught herself how to do the things service dogs are trained to do for ptsd one day she clocked my panic attack before it happened, she was running around my feet (chihuahua/yorkie 12lbs) circling my feet at top speed then scratching my bedroom door until I opened it and she ran to the living room to pester my mom then sprinted back to me circling me again then going back to my mom and back to me again and that’s when it hit me like the world shifted and I started shaking until my teeth chattered and I got tunnel vision. One of the worse ones I had in a long time, she then was darting between me and the hallway directing me towards my mom and would not stop actually pushing me until I sat down next to my mom. My dog was never trained to seek help but she was trying to make my mom come to me but my mom didn’t listed so she herded me towards my mom. She didn’t stuff like that that saved my life so many times, she was my best friend for nearly 11 years.
I had once gotten lost at our mountain cabin during winter once when I was like 10 and my dad couldn't find me (it was foggy as heck as well). I remember our Golden Retriever, Charlie, finding me at one point only to then leave. He would come back every 5 minutes or so. Apparently he had ran between my location and the cabin, back and forth, leading my dad to my location. I don't know if I would have died or not in the snow, but thanks to Charlie my dad managed to find me somewhat quickly which is something he probably never would have done it not been for Charlie.
I have a tiny dog that follows me everywhere. When she had surgery, she cried out for me until I got there, she didn’t want anyone else in my family. My family and I rescued her from a series of bad environments and she has been with us almost a year now. When I had a medical emergency that tiny 15 pound dog ran to my parents and wouldn’t stop crying and yapping until they followed her and found me. Dogs are the best and I feel so lucky that she loves me. Poor Mandy and her dog, it’s so sad.
I commented on the original video a couple weeks ago, and I'll just copy-paste my feelings again here: I can't believe this criminal mastermind's brilliant plan didn't work. Seemed like he did everything perfectly: - Buying items used to dispose of the body at Walmart where everything is on camera - Picking up calls on the victim's phone - Pretending to be the victim, who was demonstrably deceased - Tooling around in the victim's car with the murder weapon - Fleeing from police - Hiding behind canned goods - Dragging his feet on the ground to make it slightly harder for the police to carry him away Any one of these things should have absolutely thwarted law enforcement, but somehow, against all odds, he was brought to justice.
This is so sad. Poor Mandy. She sounds like such a nice person and I can't even imagine what she went through in the hands of someone she had helped. And poor Titan too, it must've been so traumatic to go through. Poodles often get very attached to their person so it doesn't surprise me that much that he stayed with her, but what a heartbreaking experience for the dog too.
Hey Charlie! I know you probably get comments like this all the time but I just got out of a mental hospital to help with my depression and I just wanted to thank you for all the video’s you’ve made. Watching your videos before I went there really helped me forget about my depression and stuff and an appreciate all you’ve done even though you’re just doing the things you love. I hope you know how much positive things come from just a simple video. Thank you.
The fact that she basically helped him out of jail bc in order to be released from prison to someone’s house you need to have that person vouch for you to the parole board and she probably did just that RIP Mandy smh this is awful
If he’s a narcissist that’s probably why he killed her. Probably resented that she was trying to help and mistook it as her trying to have power over him cause folk like that have no conceptual framework for kindness.
Dude I love that you’re covering this one. This story was such a shocking case to me. Edit: He even looks like a criminal, the look in his eyes is crazy
This is why good people are so rare AND why they're so precious. There is no benefit to being a good person. Sure people like being around you but rarely does that translate into material value for you.
My childhood dog tried to get my family to help me when i fell down a manhole cover but they thought he had gotten away from me during our walk so instead a neighbor heard me shouting for help and pulled me out. When i got home, they told me he was barking and whinning at the front door and refused to come back inside, so they had to literally drag him inside by his leash.
I think one of the worst things is that he bought the items days before that so he was planning this. It's not like he had some drug-fueled slip and then burned the body but he planned it
Some people are just really dumb, there was an IT guy at a place I worked that hid cameras in the gender neutral bathrooms then got caught because he purchased them from his desk AT THE VERY SAME WORK PLACE. We should just be glad these criminals don't know how to get away with stuff.
Two of my dogs saved my life when I was about 3-4. So I would wander around outside a lot, and our home was on the lake. We had this really old dock that was in the process of rotting, and I decided it would be a good idea to walk on it. Two of my dogs, Lucy and Wishbone, were walking with me because they were good dogs who didn't want to let the infant walk around on his own. I ended up walking on the dock which would kinda spiral down the drop to the lake, when one of the boards broke from under me. I was stuck in that hole, slowly sinking into the water, my poofy jacket being the only thing that didn't keep me from falling in instantly. Wishbone had grabbed the back of my jacket to keep me up as best as he could, while Lucy ran back up to the house and barked at my mom until she followed her to me. These were two small terrier type dogs, and they were the best saviors a toddler could ask for. They were insane dogs that would fight an actual alligator if they found one, but god damn it they were the best.
11:22 my mom works for the local circuit and while I forget some of the details.. there was a really messed up case where a grown ass man beat a child to death, left FOOTPRINT on her and when he was convicted, HIS MOTHER went after the mom of the child he killed.. makes zero sense.. this world is wicked

the officer nonchalantly saying "wassup puppy" was for some reason very funny to me and also, in gta v, this "talking to dog" joke was also used, where a dog got Franklin's attention and had him saying shit like "what's up, what? Parachute? He got stuck in a tree? You must be high" type shit
With the dog being super helpful, I can’t help but believe that the biggest giveaway was him picking up her phone and him driving her car. He has shot himself in the leg by making it so easy to link both the dog and the car to him.
I think we’re slowly discovering that only a shockingly low amount of humans genuinely possess empathy. I’m still kinda new to contemporary true crime but it seems like every high profile case goes exactly like this. The motive for the deed couldn’t be pettier and their plan to get away with couldn’t be worse but these narcissists still fight tooth and nail the whole time.
Narcissists make up roughly 1% of the human population. Now that may not sound like a lot but 1% of 8 Billion is still 80 million people world wide. Now not all Narcissists are necessarily murderous but even a small percentage can make up a large group of potential murderers spread across human society.
Everything about this is just so sad… Rest in peace Mandy. You were obviously a wonderful soul. Such a shame it seems to be the good that always go so horrifically.
Dental records are not a database, you have to know who you're checking them against to confirm an identity. If the dog wasn't chipped and identified, they'd have never known to check if her dental records matched the victim.
When my mum was young she had a cat and a dog. One time the dog disappeared for a couple of days and they couldn’t seem to find him anywhere. The cat kept harassing the entire family, crying constantly and seeming distressed. Eventually my granddad and my mum followed her into the woods near the house and she led them to the dog who was stuck in a snare trap over a mile away. Animals are so amazing, we are lucky to have them. If it had not been for their cat Smokey the dog would most likely have not been found.
Okay I see where the confusion happened on my part. So the brother-in-law of the murderer was on the murderer's side and threw the punch after the victim's brother was heckled on the stand by the murderer. Too many brothers...
@@HM---not Mandy’s bro. The killer is Mandy’s cousin. The killer prolly has a sister or brother and that BILis married to them OR the killer and BIL have family members that are married
Of course! Why wouldn’t they just let him go? After all, they let his abominable relative go free despite a long and violent criminal history, which ultimately cost a woman her life. Now there’s a “life sentence”, but watch it get overturned on a technicality, or paroled, or released for declining health or something dumb like that. Our legal system is ridiculous.
It literally is true that love wins. Because of how great of a dog parent she was, being loving and caring to her dogs, that her dog loved her back so much that she wouldn’t leave her body alone, and was protecting it. Her love and connection with her dog, is literally how that evil vile depraved monster got caught so quickly
“This act of kindness would have devastating consequences.” That’s the saddest part about this life. You cannot truly be considered capable of actually helping others unless you are prepared and fully capable of unleashing the same savagery that an evil person can bring upon you. Good hearts suffer at the hands of the wicked. Let the wicked suffer at the calloused hands of good hearts.

I commented on the original video a couple weeks ago, and I'll just copy-paste my feelings again here:
I can't believe this criminal mastermind's brilliant plan didn't work. Seemed like he did everything perfectly:
- Buying items used to dispose of the body at Walmart where everything is on camera
- Picking up calls on the victim's phone
- Pretending to be the victim, who was demonstrably deceased
- Tooling around in the victim's car with the murder weapon
- Fleeing from police
- Hiding behind canned goods
- Dragging his feet on the ground to make it slightly harder for the police to carry him away
Any one of these things should have absolutely thwarted law enforcement, but somehow, against all odds, he was brought to justice.
i would delete this if i were you, you dont want murderers to get smart lol

I think we’re slowly discovering that only a shockingly low amount of humans genuinely possess empathy.
I’m still kinda new to contemporary true crime but it seems like every high profile case goes exactly like this.
The motive for the deed couldn’t be pettier and their plan to get away with couldn’t be worse but these narcissists still fight tooth and nail the whole time.
they do all that to people who put themselves at risk to help them and still go on like their actions are justified and they are in the right :( .
Narcissists make up roughly 1% of the human population. Now that may not sound like a lot but 1% of 8 Billion is still 80 million people world wide. Now not all Narcissists are necessarily murderous but even a small percentage can make up a large group of potential murderers spread across human society.

When my mum was young she had a cat and a dog. One time the dog disappeared for a couple of days and they couldn’t seem to find him anywhere.
