"However, compared to the rest of the era, it was a period of relative peace..."

Never in my life did I think I'll ever be able to hear the opening for the Knight of Lodis remastered especially of this high quality.
The Ogre series get such little love, even more so for the Knight of Lodis which I'm sure this is the only remastered on UA-cam.
Thank you so much for this, it brings back a lot of good memories.
Look up "ogre grand repeat" on YT and you will find a few more.
Sakimoto is a genius. He's certainly worthy of his reputation.
Rejoice my friend, as they will release Tactics Ogre LUCT as TO:Reborn
we might get a remake if reborn does well!!!
Many years past did the Holy Lodissian Empire begin the Reformation, its imposition of Lodisism upon the neighboring kingdoms. Troops from Gallius advanced like a rolling storm into those regions that resisted... truly, it was less “reform” than invasion.
Even as the territory of Lodis grew, many bloody conflicts erupted from within the subjugated regions. Faced with the Empire’s military might, some nations resigned themselves to surrender, accepting Lodis’s terms of conquest. While supervised by Lodis, these kingdoms were allowed a certain degree of autonomy in conducting their affairs, and faithful regimes even enjoyed the Empire’s pledge of support should difficulties arise.
Many rulers chose surrender in lieu of pointless sacrifice. It was no surprise that they would make such a decision, though it did not fully quell outbursts of regional violence.
And yet, in the Age of Xyteginia entire, this was a moment of relative peace...
Any odds that you'd cover some of the battle music? The Rana Sea battle in particular just always was so nostalgic to me.
I agree! I made an orchestral remix of the fortune telling scene, been thinking about taking a crack at the mermaid battle.
P.S. been following ur channel for a while and I love ur vids. It's great that someone is talking about the Ogre series.
@@brianmedina8917 I can't wait to hear it!
Also, thank you, always glad to entertain! If there's anything you wanted covered about series, feel free to throw it out there.
More Ogre Battle... So much love for the series... All of them.
If you're still around, you've got to give this treatment to the battle themes of the game, as well as "Flashback". I fear we'll never get quality arrangements until the unlikely event of a remaster. That could take decades.
Fun Fact, Tactics Ogre is a Square Enix property through a corporate acquisition. Basically, Square acquired Quest Corporation's assets and got the Tactics Ogre IP as part of the deal.
My favorite game here? I can't believe it. Please, do the battle themes too! I love them all.
I plan to do at least one of the battle themes from the game.

Oh man! Do the boss/fortress battle theme. The overworld theme is also great.
As someone who uploaded walkthroughs of this game on UA-cam, seeing this comment can't make me any more happier
I wholeheartedly agree with them. The fortress battle song aka 04 is the perfect theme to modernize, and deserves a mention as it's as knightly, and as immersive as it gets for the GBA Era.
Awesome, its always nice to see Ogre Battle get some attention!
I'd love to see you remaster the tactics ogre soundtrack one of these days
Malcolm Robinson, this is the very first comment I leave on UA-cam, and I just wanted to thank you for all these amazing covers you delight us with.Truth be said, I don't watch UA-cam all that much, but lately I keep visiting the place just to see if you have uploaded a new wonderful remix. I must confess your work is inspiring, I wish I could be a great composer just like you, but sadly I don't have the knowledge or skills to become one. Anyway, please keep up with the excellent work, I can't wait for the next upload ^_^
I'm so happy to get your first comment! I'm glad you like my work and I'll do my best to keep uploading consistently.
We need more songs about Ogre Battle !!!!
Man honestly this makes me wish some dedicated fans would get together and just remake Knight of Lodis entirely in the style of TO PSP.
Happiness is - Seeing Knight of Lodis getting much Love
You have opened a door.
We need more Ogre Battle. Too much good music faded into obscurity.
Sound very much like if the original team did a Remaster. Hope I get to see more, as this soundtrack really deserves it.
Thanks! I really appreciate the comment. It's always my goal to make my covers sound as professional as possible even though I'm just a guy making music in his apartment in the evening. I'll definitely do more.
Oh I'm so happy that someone else knows the wonder that is Tactics Ogre! Are you going to be doing other scores from TO, preferably ones from Let Us Cling Together?
I would absolutely love to do an Ogre Battle Saga album that would cover music from all four games, but mostly from Let Us Cling Together. Starting work on a new album probably isn't the best idea though since I'm behind schedule on all my other albums. I'll definitely do a couple more tracks though and we'll see how it goes.
Malcolm Robinson Music Don't overwork yourself my friend. Just keep to your schedule in the other albums first and come back to Ogre Battle. You're doing a fantastic job though, keep it up! I love your work!
Words cannot describe how hyped I am. I love your work and TO:LUCT is my favourite video game sountrack ever (and my favourite game ever aswell). Can't wait to hear what you're gonna do with it !
That attention you say Tactics Ogre deserves wouldn't happen to include more planned covers of the music in the works, would it? Binary question, only one correct answer. :)
OMG OMG OMG OMG, Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis have so MANY beautiful songs, i hope you keep up this great work
I definetly need more of this
So NICEEEEE.. What a great nostalgic OST. Great Game, great OST, and great Arrangement!
Very cool medieval music
Holy shit!! This is amazing!
A cool opening theme to an awesome GBA game. #TacticsOgreTheKnightOfLodis
This is excellent! I was disappointed that Knight of Lodis' OST didn't see any coverage in the Let Us Cling Together remake, so it's great to see you do this. Hope you get a chance to do more, someday.
Thanks! I hope so too.
This game does not get the amount of love it truly deserves!
Nice music!!
Would love to hear the Ending A theme like this :O
Eargasm
Great work. I'd love to see you do some more remakes of Sakimoto's stuff. I really like his compositions.
He's a great composer, but I'll probably only cover his work in the Ogre series and the Final Fantasy Tactics series since that's all I'm really familiar with.
I would love to hear some FFT! Can't wait!
Malcolm Robinson Music
I'd suggest some tracks from FF Tactics Advance, another game on the GBA whose soundtrack was more grandiose than the GBA's sound hardware could do justice.
I haven't heard the FFTA soundtrack in a very long time, so I'll have to check it out again. It's unlikely that I'd end up covering it though simply because I have too many other projects that I want to do. More from Knight of Lodis is definitely possible though.
Still waiting on more remastered Knight of Lodis tracks!!
I just finished playing Let Us Cling Together and then found this. This is amazing, one of my favourites from everything you've remixed. Man, I badly want to know what happens next in the saga. What are you up to Lancelot? XP
If you ever do Ogre Battle's "Accretion Disk" theme... I will lose my goddamn mind.
This is amazing.
Can you do Battle BGM 00? Or even Battle BGM 04?
Noice!
It would be awesome if you did an orchestral cover of the Final Battle theme of the game, nobody has done one yet, this seems to be the under sung title of the series.
a planescape torment main theme remake would be a challenge imo
WOW!!!!!!!!!!! make all the soundtrack please!!!!!
Very beautiful. Love when the string sections starts playing and coming in and out. Also love when all the brass are playing before that. Have you ever considered using less reverb?
Thanks! It's great to get a comment on this more obscure upload. The right amount of reverb is always tricky. In my past uploads, I've used a little more reverb than was necessary, but I think (or at least I hope) that it's still within the acceptable range and that I haven't botched it or anything. However, the issue often has less to do with a global reverb setting and more to do with the fact that I combine several libraries and some of them are recorded wet or include release tails that I usually don't adjust.
Ah, okay, I see. It sounds great though. The way it is mixed kind of reminds me of a higher quality version of FFXII.
This is amazing. Do you plan on doing more songs from Tactics Ogre?
Absolutely! I'm a pretty big fan of the soundtracks from the series. I won't have another one ready for quite a while though.
i don't know what this is but it sounds great
Thanks! It's one of my most obscure uploads. In fact, I'm quite certain that I'm the only person on the planet who has covered (or will ever cover) this track.
Malcolm Robinson Music
Please do more from this game! Knight of Lodis is so widely neglected, and the soundtrack was so underserved by the GBA's soundchip.
This music reminds me of Shining Force
plz remix more theme of tactics ogre
If you ever get the chance, could you cover A fleeting dream from Final fantasy X ?
I might do it if I ever get around to covering FFX.
