- No relationship to that other Dark Knight, but Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together features the elite Dark Knights Loslorien, a crack team from the Holy Lodissian Empire who has been sent to...closely monitor...the powderkeg situation of video game pseudo-Yugoslavia. (No, seriously, definitely look up the history of Tactics Ogre's development...)
And they are led by their ruthless leader Lanselot Tartaros.
But what is the history of this villain? Well, eventually would be released the side game Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis. Sorry to spoil a 20 year old Game Boy Advance game, but surprise -- the Knight of Lodis was in fact a young, naive, idealistic fresh knight version of Lans.
This is the story of the Dark Knight (Loslorien) who didn't die a hero, but lived long enough to see himself become the villain. This medley is "Intro" from Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis, and "Catastrophe" from Tactics Ogre, Let Us Cling Together.

Fun note, pay attention to everything Lans does in the background. Dude's always putting out fires and trying to peacefully resolve stuff with some of shittiest luck ever.

That's what makes him an interesting and realistic villain... He started out with such optimism only for it to slowly be eaten away and he just plunges deeper into his obsession of duty and destiny.
Also, kinda on the nose that his family name is Tartaros.
Wow, this was extremely well done. Amazing work fam, and the subtitles really illustrate why Lanselot Tartaros is my favorite character. When you contextualize his experiences, why wouldn't you do whatever it takes to accumulate every godlike artifact from lands far and wide that you can find -- when you know there are far more horrifying beings out there than petty humans warring amongst themselves. I don't think he's necessarily on a crusade to revive his long lost love, or take down Ogres and other magical beings, but he seems like the guy who wants to play his cards right, in case shit ever hits the fan again.
Man is so committed to these videos he breaks international law and clones himself... what an absolute man.

The Knight of Lodis was such a hidden gem of a game. I glad to see there are so many people who remember it fondly. Looking forward to Tactics Ogre: Reborn Fantastic work on this cover man. Loved it!

This was the first video I found of yours. I just wanted to say your music blends in so well with the storytelling. I actually thought this was dialogue somewhere within the games themselves. The story of this game is so deep and you convey it in such a beautiful way I've never seen before.

Awesome job, I really like this style of orchestral instruments with the sax added in as well! It seems like overall something about the mix comes across to me as very busy and filled out, as if there are parts of the arrangement that are in the background and the ear doesn't quite register as opposed to something that adds a clear rhythmic drive or the interest of multiple simultaneous parts. Maybe the orchestral elements could be more aggressively panned or less reverb used on them if any is being added. EQ'ing up or adding saturation to high frequencies always seems to help separate things for me, but I guess with the traditional orchestra recording style there is much less high frequencies allowing everything to blend nicely. Anyways this is just my thoughts, I hope this might be useful in some way. I do really like the way the sax is blended with the other instruments as well as the sax solo bits which come across clearly and I just think this is a really cool format.
Thanks so much for the detailed feedback! This is a very new direction for me, and I don't have any experience in how things would be done "traditionally" or what the end result should sound like. So that's definitely something I'll try to work on over future mixes and arrangements.

All stories in my cover stories are original writing by me. They are usually loosely inspired by in game events, but with my own twist on things. I definitely appreciate hearing that it feels close enough to seem authentic :)

Sir, please help me. My channel got demonetized in Feb 2022. Got rejected 3 times in a row again for reused content. I never used anyone else's videos. Moreover my video aren't based on gameplays, but I build base in the game Clash of Clans and then generate the base link from the in-game base link generator and share them in the videos. There are a couple of channels who started after me and still they are working just fine. Any help would be appreciated. Please Sir.
the channel looks completely anonymized. there's no way to tell what your role is as the UA-camr, so it makes sense that the channel would struggle to be monetized.
