Imagine reading this in public, other people would just see you sitting there flipping the book all over the place like some kinda mad man while you're just casually reading.
And then there's pages of one word or less And pages like a script in a play And pages of only footnotes And pages that make you turn the book every wich way And a SONG.
Nothing can compare to the horror i felt as i slowly deciphered the meaning of the letters from the institution. Every single letter of every single word made me want to stop, but i had to continue, to know what it said. To decide for myself who was really telling the truth. If you know you know.
I felt like throwing up as I wrote down her message and I'm not even this woman's child. I also became (even more) paranoid from that point onward in the book and tried to find more hidden messages to decode haha
Your facial expression, made me laugh 🤣. Take it for what it’s worth, it’s soon to be cult classic that everyone will want to have or already have in their collection. I recently purchased it again, the “remastered” version and I’m excited to go back over it again. However, I’m starting to read a great horror novel called, “The Only Good Indians” and it’s captivating.
It's not for everyone but it's definitely special. If you give it a try, you don't need to understand every detail or even enjoy all of it despite its cult following haha

Ahh yea then the fandom is with you and you'll be in for a rather deep rabbit hole haha. Personally I don't think that every detail needs a reason to be included in the book, some of them are just there for vibes and that's cool too :))
Not really... But you don't need to understand everything to enjoy it. Maybe you'll be like me and keep thinking about it waaaayyy after you'd finished it and things would make more and more sense :) take your time with it
I just started the book and I love how it goes "hey this book is gonna lie to you" and then my guy just goes and starts lying. It's fantastic. I wanna write something funky like this
I have yet to decide how to feel about any of what I just read, I still think about it at times haha. It took me quite a while to finish it and I can't imagine what kind of sadist would make this book an assignment!
Wow, I bet a certain indie game developer of a well known first-person-shooter has taken some inspiration from this neat book! I wonder if this has something to do about a bull running wild in a labyrinth!
Pov: you're reading then have to continually flip the books different directions to even read or maybe comprehend what's being said or you won't
Constantly flipping back and forth between pages to cross referencing independent things that might or might not be related :)))
Their face expression at the end is when Johnny pops in to tell us of another sexcapade.
Yea I got attached to him but he makes it a hard sell haha
johnny is such a loser but i love him so much hes so important to the story
@@Ahnockthe stuff regarding his mother is pretty heartbreaking

and braille, and MULTIPLE appendixes
And the reverse text you have to hold up to a mirror to read!
Absolutely amazing once you wrap your head around how to read it.
Please, do tell how to wrap your head around it! Seems you've already mastered how to read and comprehend the book of leaves 😮😮😮😮😮
Ordered this book yesterday. Getting it tomorrow. I’m not into reading, but THIS one specifically caught my eye.

I wish a movie would be made for this novel. It’s so hard to read
This book has done irreversible damage to my brain
House of leaves, a book about something called "the Navidson report" which is great. And starring a guy called "Johnny"... Which is unfortunate.
it's Navidson, not Nadison... and there's plenty of that.

Thanks for the rec :)
Planning on reading it, but I may not be dedicated enough I am afraid.

Just struggled reading this section
What is this audio from?
I know if nobody else got me, Johnny Truant do
Sadly, I bought a copy that didn’t have the pages you show in the video. Where did you buy it? I wanna have the good one. :’(
Hi! Sorry I only saw your comment today. Bought it on amazon, the "full color edition" :)
Song ???
This is not for you.

I believe the author of this book was under the influence of substances and/or mental disturbances or both!
Amazing book, one of my all-time favorites. But woe betide anyone assigned it for a college class.

Hmmmmm I actually found it getting harder to read towards the end. What with the pelicans and weird formatting and johnny and all haha
@@dqaxd Then, probably the middle. I’m currently at the part where they are going down the stair case (exploration #4) to save Holloway and his crew.

I would love to know the ISBN of this book.
I love this book!!
I honestly believe the people who enjoy this book like being lied to, and emotionally toyed with…with little to know reward…you’re all masochists lol
