- Welcome back to Heaven & Healing Podcast - the first episode of 2023! This is my special “One Year with Jesus” anniversary episode where I share the synopsis of my testimony for anyone who hasn’t heard it before and from there reflect on what my first full year walking with the Lord has been like.
The episode starts with the background context of where I’m coming from: New Age spirituality, obsessed with ‘self-healing’ modalities such as tarot, astrology, yoga, reiki, crystal healing and more. I discuss how even though I spent nearly a decade entrenched in those things, there was never true, substantial healing - only bouts of relief that would eventually perpetuate more patterns of bad behavior, anxiety and chronic depression.
I was 27 years old, curled up on my kitchen floor ready to end my life when I called out to Jesus Christ for the first time in September 2021. By late December 2021, after straddling the fence of “New Age Christianity” for several months, I finally laid my life before the Lord’s feet in conviction of the Holy Spirit and, by the grace of God, surrendered faith to Jesus Christ entirely.
Christ healed my relationship anxiety, my ongoing depression, my lustful tendencies and my bondage to demonic deception of NA.
A year later, I continue to be sanctified by God’s peace that surpasses all understanding.
In this episode, I share what it was like with my NA circle after I came to know Jesus, how my mom’s salvation followed my own, give a look into my relationship with my fiancé before and after his experience finally coming-to-Christ, reflect on the difference in how I handle struggles before I knew Jesus vs. now, share some things I am accused of with maintaining my platform, praise God for the opportunities He has given me to glorify Himself, discuss the way God has both humbled my theology and allowed me to embrace my freedom in Christ post-NA where I was afraid of demonic deception.
There’s a special message for unbelievers at the end that I pray God will use to reach ears to listen.
Finally, I conclude with an important announcement regarding future exclusive content.

@@jacquelinemay8101 I read the New King James Version and it is easy to understand and I hope very close to the King James Version. Also I read from my Chromebook with a popular app Bible Gateway. It's free, they have every version, and can also read the scripture. You can even split the page with two versions side by side. I pray that the evil one will not shake you because Jesus is with you always.
I am reading the English standard version having no problem reading it! Amazon has pretty ones I got one with flowers on the cover ♥️

That is so true! That is exactly how i got sucked into New Age, and while i am still working and struggling with some old beliefs, I have always loved and leaned on Christianity and Jesus, and now i am closer than ever to Him. But it does make me think, if it’s so promoted and pushed on tiktok, is there a reason for that? Because its so pushed, and the hate for Christianity and Jesus comes with it from what i have seen and experienced.

I will be praying for you. I quit smoking, from over a carton a week thirty years ago. Beside prayer, I recommend regarding the act of smoking as a disdainful thing. Never long for that smoke when you see someone else, make yourself believe that all the evils it brings can capture you back with just one smoke. And please don't do as I did and substitute that craving with food. I've battled that one ever since I used it as a crutch while quitting. I have been being careful with my diet for two months now and losing so I will keep you in mind when I pray for my own perseverance.

If anything helps you, I used Tabax pills, they minimized the crisis as I was truly addicted - smoking a pack of cigarettes per day.

I found Jesus a year ago just like you! Pleasure to listen your story and how things have went. For me the first months as a Christian were horrible, but after I got through all the attacks I got a totally new life!! New home, new job, new spouse, moved into a new city. God made me new and my whole life new after a bad struggle at first. I am eternally grateful that I found Him and He saved me from the darkness of new age spirituality. We came across your interview with him last night and was expecting a saucy debate. We quickly picked up on the fact that you were saved and that this was about your testimony. I've been praying for you as a new sister in Christ. I'm grateful for you and your journey. I used to read tarot and studied the occult and was a member of two secret societies. I always believed in the God of the Bible but relied too much on my own understanding. Only after so many years I've learned that there are some answers we can't find for ourselves and which God has to give to us when we stop and listen.

Christianity is also a process- called sanctification- the process of becoming more Christ-like. But the difference is that we know where we’re going in the end! I’m so thankful to Him for your salvation and boldness in speaking His Truth, THE one and only Truth. So many have been saved or returned to Christ in these comments alone. ❤

Love your testimony. On February 20,2023 I gave my life to Jesus. I had to give up on a lot of things even certain shows,certain artists. Now I mostly listen to godly music. I’m cutting ties with so many people whom I thought were my friends. This year 2023 I’m healing from my past & I know god is guiding me through. It’s a long process. I used to be an attention seeker & person who wanted to fit in with the rest of the world.

Right here is a girl who went from needle junkie to Jesus junkie! Clean for 7 years and those drug cravings I used to think I would always have, have just been eradicated. I am so happy to have found this ministry I can't believe how much I have in common with you Angel-a and how much of your story sounds like mine. I love seeing how much you love the Lord. Girls our age need more Godly women as role models and I thank you for being one.
I just want to share. That listing to your testimony encouraged me to keep praying for my friends. I have two friends that recently within the last few years fell into the new age, I constantly pray for them and at one point I thought I’d give up on them but I felt in my heart after talking to God I couldn’t give them up. Because if I stop praying for them then no one will be there to pray for them. They mean the world to me and I just wish they knew Gods love. Anyways I had started to loose hope again… it’s so hard to pray when there’s so much to pray for. So much is going on in my life it feels chaotic. But my faith never fails. I’m hoping for the day when ny life starts to brighten up.
I also attend a Calvary Chapel church and it’s been life changing!

"Noone is too far gone", wow I neverrrr felt that way, for what I've witnessed in this life. But, I think it's true now.
Thank you so much for sharing your story. It is so full of hope to hear that you were drawn to Jesus without you doing or knowing anything about who he was. It just shows that Jesus is the Truth. I myself have spent a lifetime trying to figure it out and stopped by and had a sniff of the alternative and thought that it is possible to be an alternative Christian. But no! I have gone away from that! I have always been a truth-seeking person and I can't do anything else, then I feel deceived, there is no other way than Jesus, God's ways are inscrutable. I have prayed continuously for my family and friends for 11 years, that is from 2011 when I had an awakening after a close family member became seriously ill. He is now dead but I hope my prayers brought him to Jesus and that I will get to meet him again one day. I have received several prayer answers. But what I hope for most has not yet appeared. I now just want to get to know Jesus more and more, even though I have known him all my life. Don't be embarrassed that you start crying, it makes your story come alive. @Survival Patriot Thank you. Yes, I actually have a question. I talked to my significant other about becoming a Christian woman, and he was happy I turned to God but he doesn't want to take this journey with me and says his relationship with the lord is personal and I shouldn't ask him about this. I just started out, so I just thought to myself I will pray for him and as I read the Bible I will tell him about it because he seems to like when I talk about it. Is this what I should do? Also I want to start fasting for my family and friends how do I even start what would be the proper way to do this?
@@minixdee It is always difficult when dealing with friends and family members who aren't on the same page as you, but I think you are doing the right thing. You cannot force someone to turn to Christ, rather we must lovingly tell them the truth and be a good example, and let God convict his soul. Like you said, keep telling him about the amazing things you are learning, and always focus on Jesus Christ. When it comes to fasting, that is an area I honestly haven't done much with, but I'd recommend starting out small and working towards longer fasts later. It is not so much about starving yourself, as it is giving up our comfort to focus on Christ. maybe start out eating one meal a day, and then moving on to fasting for a whole day or two.

This podcast gives me SO MUCH HOPE for my loved ones! I was born into a very high control sect and my husband was born into the Catholic Church. He is having a hard time accepting the Grace and reconciling through Jesus Christs death and resurrection. Please pray for him! And my family that has a skewed perspective of God! I was a former humanist Satanist and was deeply involved in New Age practices myself. Christ freed me through an in depth study of the Scriptures and its origins.

I've just come across you in the last week, first on the Michael Knowles podcast. I also watched the entire episode with your lifelong friend. I was eager the watch this newest podcast and so elated to see that your passion has remained every bit as enthusiastic and powerful as from a year ago. Ive seen you on a few different things and have subscribed . i just seen a christian channel called strange normal as well and it would be really awesome to ti you on their channel as well. I'm glad you have sound doctrine and listen to mike winger. i love Catholics but please never be deceived in to Catholicism as Michael Knowles tried to do. i say this with love towards Michael and mean no disrespect but it is so important to stand on the word of God alone.
