I looked up the prices in curiosity as someone who lives in the Southern US and has no chance to see this live. After converting the price, I would be going multiple times if I could. Nothing could cover the quality directly in person visually and definitely audio. I would be so dam happy by the end of the set. Dammit i want a ticket

This isn’t music, this is magic
❤ couldn't agree more
Idiot its still music
You're implying music isn't magic?
@stewartmoore5158 : not all the music is magic
Music = magic
Just my opinion. The greatest western ever filmed.
Its also my opinion 😅
Yes I agree
Yep. Close second is 1993 Tombstone.
@@guidichris And third is the dollar trilogy ;)
@@erwan6186 Actually, my favorite movie of all time is The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. Even with the anachronistic errors (guns are totally wrong for the period) it’s still an amazing movie. Even better if you have the deleted scenes.
Charles Bronson is watching this and smiling from up in heaven 😢🥹
That harmonica at the beginning is just about the most mournful music I think I've ever heard.
As years pass, Morricone will be classified as a classical music genius. He never gets as much credit as he is due. This one excerpt is all the proof you need,
100% agree, this concert brought me to tears so many times!
I have his anthology. He was the best with all the respect to James Horner and John Williams
Back again in 2024 to relive this masterpiece. ❤❤❤

Always :)
Im here for that (≧▽≦)
A beautiful score that went with the movie like magic.
I hope Ennio Morricone is somewhere up in heaven listing to his magnificent music being played so beautifully
You bet he is, and with a smile of approval
Can we give some serious respect for the sound and video engineers for capturing this miracle?
Kevin
indeed the result is incredible, almost like you're there.
As a live video engineer I am impressed by the camera work and the use of POV and ROBO cameras. Sure a lot was done in the final post edit. But live they captured an awesome preperformance. I actually plan to see this if they ever do this series again!
considering the sharp highs and the mellow lows they had to be skilled.
I couldn't say it better. It is angelic.
It’s fascinating how we can have tears running down our faces without a single word in the songs. Ennio Morricone is a genius.
That’s real music in purest form
Same here ❤️
You are so correct sir.
I felt exactly the same! One of the best scores for any film ever made! So powerful!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@thomaslemke9757 Absolutely correct. RIP Ennio Morricone, you were the best!

All hail the goddess Tuva!

Been a fan since I saw their Good The Bad and The Ugly cover!
It seems the singer uses a light vibrato. It results different to other interpretations that use a flat voice.
Great stuff
Thank you, Sir Ennio Morricone for creating such masterpiece. Your legacy will forever be admired and remembered. Rest in Peace, Maestro...

Couldn't agree more!! Great comment.
Well said.
great comment so true
Great comment Steven, I totally agree!
I believe you meant enchanted
The guy with the harmonica waited his whole life to get this gig.
You should hear him playing the Sax. Check out "Taxi Driver" with the same orchestra
Think he got this wrong. He should had seen the movie. He should had expressing the desperation exhalation of death, not some notes.
U don't knw that guy? Anyway, you waited your whole life to make this comment...
Looool that was funny 😅
It was well worth waiting all my life to hear him play.
This music has come from heaven.
Growing up in a lower middle class family without much means. Ennio Morricone’s music as a kid watching his epic films is what drew me to orchestral music, then the classical pieces. It’s a strange road but I still love his musical style. Thank you.
This is classic composition for us all.
Same here. I know so good what are you talking about.

Ennio Morricone is sadly no longer with us but his musical genius will live on forever.
Same for all actors and actresses who left us, and all the people who give us all this fantastic music and movies!
He will be held high for future generations as his music speaks from the heart!
I think he is still with us in spirit from the other dimension. He is waiting on us.
There's not a one that can hold a candle to his genius!!!!
I think iam right in saying that morricone didn't win an Oscar for this soundtrack, you can only say how was that possible.
The best orchestra in the entire world hands down
Still remember being 17 (72 now)and seeing this movie for the first time in a movie theatre ,what a classic ,Henry fonda ,Charles bronson, Claudia cardinely and Jason robards
Perfect soundtrack for a perfect film. Ive seen the film so many times i know the scenes the individual themes are scored to. I'm going to have to go watch it again now.

It was the BEST rendition of the music behind the BEST American Western movie ever made. The movie was an Italian production, influenced and inspired by the all-pervasive American culture. The movie in turn influenced and inspired American filmmakers to come up with great and memorable movies like The Wild Bunch, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and The Unforgiven where the good, the bad, and the ugly all had stories worthy of telling and knowing.
The world cannot thank you enough Ennio, what a treasure of marvelous music to leave behind - R.I.P.

That's what a good orchestra does - particularly with a piece like a film score where there's both a score and a very definitive recording.

Ennio Morricone was a genius: his music was visual, it evoked images and emotions, perhaps better than anyone else before. R.I.P. maestro!
Agree 1000%
Normally I don't really like using the word genius, but in Ennio Morricone's case it is appropriate.
RIP genius.
Perfectly said. It has been impossible for me to listen to this series of Ennio Morricone music played by the DNSO without seeing the relevant scenes from the movies. I really believe that Clint Eastwood owes a great deal of his success to Ennio Morricone.

Wpw this music is so good, I taught pursuit training to young police officers ,in the 70s this may sound strange butt i would teach safely above all but in Dekalb co Georgia we had a lot of good times seeing what a 69 road runner could do ,my point was with music like this made my job easy while Spinning out of control,
Sometimes I think that the movie was just made to celebrate the music … amazing how beautiful and expressive it is.
RIP Ennio Morricone and Sergio Leone and thank you!
For some reason...when a great orchestra plays iconic tunes it seems to highlight just how brilliant & original the music is. It's amazing how much this piece meanders along - you can feel an epic story unfold, musically.

The greatest movie score of all time. And the greatest western of all time.

Ennio Morricone é genial!! 👏👏👏👏💜😊
The music behind the BEST American Western movie ever made. The music reverberates, elevates, and immortalizes each key scene and the characters in it against a savage West where greed, revenge, violence, and quick death are the norm. The combination was unprecedented, and after nearly 60 years, the vision is still unsurpassed.
It is well said. Accurate. Good day.
This not really an entirely american western movie, though. Lots of Italian talent, aka foreign, style much different from John Wayne and Hollywood. Wikipedia says that it has lots of references to american westerns :-) But certainly one of the BEST movies and BEST music indeed!
It was an Italian production, influenced and inspired by the all-pervasive American culture. The movie in turn influenced and inspired American filmmakers to come up with great and memorable movies like The Wild Bunch, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and The Unforgiven where the good, the bad, and the ugly all had stories worthy of telling and knowing.
It transcends genres, which I think many great works of art do. To my mind, it's a Wagnerian opera, complete with leitmotifs for each of the principal characters. And casting Henry Fonda as the BAD guy? GENIUS.
Actually, although the frontier could be brutal the excessive violence is a figment of the truth. Dime novels created the notion that the west was lawless which was propagated by western films. Most settlers were relatively religious folk who sought new beginnings and opportunities in life. The violence occurred but was rare.
Ennio was an amazing composer! ❤
This movie was the Greatest Western Ever Made, IMHO.
I'll second that. Saw the movie at the drive in Australia probably 40 years ago... great western, even greater soundtrack .

You're not wrong.
This orchestra is not afraid to use alternate or lesser know instruments in order to achieve the sound they deem necessary. All of their conductors are phenomenal, but this young lady here is fearless when it comes to alternate sounds. The chorus is superb, the instrumentalists are just off the charts great, and Tuva is. . . .Tuva. How can one even describe her; I have no idea why she is not better recognized, considering what she does and how she does it. Actually, that goes for the entire group; they’re all superb. I just love this orchestra and am in absolute awe of each and everyone of them. Humongous thumbs up!
It's the original instumentation which the italian composer (Ennio Morricone, 1928-2020) wrote it for. In the early 60's, he was the first one who started to use "weird" instruments and mouth-made sounds with the film-orchestra. Others later copied that idea from him!
The ragged harmonica note just here and there and the dominating bass guitar, and then full orchestra. I think this song could seduce me. A lot.
Tuva is half human half goddess.
Its a national band
@@mozambique9113 The UA-cam Channel has it listed as the “Danish National Symphony Orchestra.” Are you sure it’s just a band? They certainly sound and look like a symphony and not just a band.

Maestro Morricone definitely takes us to another time, another place. It's somewhere we've never been before but would like to revisit. The evidence of greatness is if an artist can move you deeply and change your perspective from apathy to vibrancy. Maestro Morricone does that without trying. Couldn't understand the tears watching Once Upon a Time in the West until I realized, its the music. You can have your Mozart and your Brahms. You can take your Williams and your Zimmerman. Ennio Morricone, that is the real deal. How a bunch of Danes dug so deep into his heart and soul is a mystery. But thank God for that. Love it.
YES! The music matches the screenplay so well, and is so thematic. ENNIO puts you right there. It takes an entire movie to get to the final DUEL in this movie. And in that scene, the music awakens your every fibre of thought, mood, emotion.. It is a MASTERPIECE !
Not just the music but the entirety of the film itself and the incredible performances and the perfect pacing and the editing, not to even highlight the absolutely INCREDIBLE acting by one and all!!!
Funny thing about Ennio Morricone’s music ... appreciation of the work ages like a good wine.
He did music for Mission to Mars (2000), which is the film’s redeeming quality given a mediocre script and original director walking out.
The movie and score was a masterpiece tribute to the old west. And golden boy Henry Fonda as one of the movie screens most despicable villains. “You brought two to many” amazingly gifted orchestra to replicate these scores with such accuracy
I will have to find the Henry Fonda interview, where he discussed his casting in this film. Director wanted the villain to have piercing blue eyes (Fonda trademark).
It was one of the few roles where he got to play a true villain - of course his son Peter was filming “Easy Rider” in this same time period.
Once upon a time in the west: absolute masterpiece
