P.S. or go "wall to wall pop songs" using rap/hip hop or '60s retro stuff with a depressing "singer songwriter"-style title tune.

"Once Upon a Time in the West" I just watched the movie on YT and was stunned by the whole production. The Musical score, the videography, the acting, etc. It cuts right through your soul. I can't believe it took me forty years to come across this masterpiece of a movie. It was done in 1968. I ordered the movie and the soundtrack CD. This is a must have!
"It cuts right through your soul" OMG I first saw this movie when I was 12 Years old back in 1973 over the years I have gone back to it many times I've been lucky enough to see special screenings at the cinema of restored versions and now I have got a really Good HD Monitor recently sat and watched it three times in a week just because of the emotional impact it has on me every time I watch it. Its my favorite movie of all time and I could never really express why in raw emotional terms and you sir have done it in 5 words. Nice video too.

This is like a delicatessen of music it touches you softly but at same time fills the spirit with fire. I may not be rich but that's not going to stop me from enjoying the finer things in life.
This scene is so well edited... And the next scene with Claudia going from the station dock back to the street, camera raising over the roof and showing the little town with the woman singing getting more intense... This movie is just a masterpiece.

+suhas a Ecstasy of Gold is EM's absolute best piece (IMHO), but the overall score for Once Upon a Time is definitely second place. Pure brilliance by EM. The reason EM worked so well with Leone is due to Leone's extremely sparse dialogue. Leone just let's EM do all the talking - it's brilliant film!

+suhas a Ecstasy of Gold is EM's absolute best piece (IMHO), but the overall score for Once Upon a Time is definitely second place. Pure brilliance by EM. The reason EM worked so well with Leone is due to Leone's extremely sparse dialogue. Leone just let's EM do all the talking - it's brilliant film!
