I grew up with the N64 version and I love both versions.
Same here man I remember geting this with my 3ds back when I was just 13. Whew I forgot How GOOD these songs were. I felt like I just unlocked sum memories I forgot I had. ESPECIALLY THE LAST 2 SONGS. THis has to be one of Nintendo's best if not the best game they ever produced
I remember getting this as a graduation present in 2016 before then i wasn’t really much into gaming (i did love the Zelda series and sims but that was about it and my first ever 3D zelda game was twilight Princess on the Wii (i was 12 and not allowed to own many sit down games as my mom called it since i didn’t get a lot of exercise but once i got into high school i started playing basketball and got more sit down games for birthday gifts and such as my mom saw i was getting a ton of exercise and was pretty exhausted after practice and gaming is one way i was able to wind down and relax afterwards and on weekends (we had practice Saturday mornings 😩)

For flute fans, I found an easy way to play these songs without much problem.
The deciphering of the buttons corresponds directly to flute notes that you can try yourselves with your own flute, with the n64 ocarina I have not deciphered it, but with the 3DS version I did, it would be order:
Button A = Si* (with the bottom hole uncovered)
X Button = Si
Y Button = The
L Button = Re
R Button = Fa
