Paid 3K for a 3rd Gen. Worked great for 1 year. After that, it had nonstop problem, from fingerprint scanner not working to thunderbolt 3 port keeps disconnecting to intermitent wifi, having to teoubleshoot it everytime. Called and chatted with customer service. Was adviced to update BIOS, and now some of the keys in my keyboard stopped working.
Think the next laptop I purchase will be s convertible Yoga. I bet these are great for watching movies. Being able to place on a table without keyboard in the way etc.
@@dotTom.c0m From what I've heard, the "rise and fall" keyboard did not feel as nice to type on compared to the standard keyboard on the x1 carbon, which would explain why they changed it back. I have never used either, so I can't comment from my own experience.
@@IncendexX I have used both the Carbon and the 2nd/3rd gen Yoga. The Carbon maintains an excellent keyboard, and the X1 Yoga Gen1 had the same fantastic typing feel. However, due to the fact the keys themselves retracted on 2nd/3rd gen, they became much more mushy and unpleasant to type on. I believe the Gen4 is a return to form, so that makes the removal of the wave worth it to me.
the keyboard does not sink inside when you are going on tablet mode like on the 2018 model? also I do think that aluminium ist not as good as the carbon unfortuntely a downgrade in my opinion, except the position of the speakers
Without premium material (carbon) and keyboard locking mechanism, the line between Lenovo's consumer Yoga and Thinkpad Yoga blurs. It's a downgrade in design. Saving on weight?
WHY NOT 180°!!!! drives me crazy. I have the yoga 710 and I want a thinkpad that flips all the way back man. who’s gonna write on something lifted at 20°?? I want it flat like paper
Need suggestions please. Which one for best drawing experience? X1 Yoga 2019 or C930? C930 less port because the pen silo. But extra sound bar (not too important)
on the paper it should be exactely the same experience: both garaged pens have Wacom AES technology and 4096 pressure levels. I guess the experience should be the same. Mind: as far as I know, Thinkpad X1 Yoga 2018 edition has a 2K pressur levels pen

considering we ve got 2019, lenovo has the shittest screens available. Who else is giving GLOSSY AND ONLY 300 NITS screens for that price ? ridicuolous and rip off brand
Just bought it. My bank account is crying.

Just ordered mine, with the i7-8665U, 16GB RAM, 1TB NVMe SSD, 4K 500nit HDR touch display, 4G LTE Modem and 3 year warranty. Can't wait. :)
Siko Man thats what i ordered too thru the lenovo website...lemme know how it is performing and any pros and cons thanks
Seeing these specs make me more excited about the thinkpadx1 tablet
Can’t wait
What do you think guys
Thinkpadx1 tab (4th gen) vs surface pro 7
yep, def over the surface pro 7 esp if the specs match

The keyboard isn't what you would expect from a ThinkPad (Yoga), since it does not retract on the 4th gen model!

I like the black more than silver... :/
Ryan Lynch
There’s only 1 option for 4th gen
Is there an anti glare ips version?
No.
What kind of 8th generation cpu do you guys think this will have? Will it be coffee lake like the extreme?
ice lake
$1920 base price is ridiculous
yea I'd rather stick to the 3rd gen can pick it up for $500 on ebay or wait a year and get it for the same :)
@@PatrickCoombe used for 500 ?
That's MSRP. Nothing unusual.
Lenovo. You should get product promoters who don't say ummm every 2 seconds.

@@S_Bellew She did......and whatever.
AUTHENTIC MATERIAL FOR THINKPADS ISN'T ALUMINUM. GET BENT MARKETING.
I think she was just comparing this aluminum finish for 2019 with the silver finish used on the 2018 model
I have the X1Y1 and honestly I don't mind the aluminum finish, only because the black paint on mine has scratched off a bit on corners.
Thinkpads are BLACK. PERIOD. They’ve always been black. They’ll always have the red nub.
vocall frrrrrryyyyyyyyy
