I’m 17 and about to graduate from high school in June. Thank you Eric for your beautiful music that helped me through the stressful time in the college application season.
And he'll always be there for ya. Need to get jacked for a workout or a night on the town? E.C. gotcha. Need to hear someone who is relating to your heartbreak or hear someone tell you their story which is a million times worse, thus, making you feel better about your situation? Slowhand gonna smoothly guide you home. Need to rock out so you can stay awake for that long drive? God will keep your eyelids from getting heavy. Wanna know about some of the greatest American and English music history? Professor Eric will make easy to grasp. Need to learn about women? Eric Clapton can teach you what to do and what not to do. But if you are back at your crib with a lady-friend and y'all are getting romantic? Slowhand gonna greatly increase your chances with her unless You somehow manage to screw it up? Then, Mr. "Clappin" gonna sing and pick you a Blues song that will soothe your loss.
Eric Clapton is one guitar player I could never get tired of listen to, I could listen to the same song few times and still hear something different, I could never get a computer good enough for storing all the generations of blues music to blues/rock etc. I have watched all the Eric Clapton crossroads guitar festival concerts UA-cam. Wish I was there in person to hear the great music. Never hear music like this in Australia. America is so fortunate to have a great music culture and history they have. Wish I was there, UA-cam is as close as I can get, God bless America for great blues artists throughout many generations
Some of the greatest blues performers are British. One of them didn't even play a guitar. That would be the incomparable Joe Cocker. American blues artists worshipped his voice and soul.
Well, I've been sick with who knows what since early October. Very scary time 8n my life. Somehow I found this maybe yesterday when I was giving up. Thank you, Eric!!
Nobody does it like Clapton! I'm almost 68 and dam, he's still out there stylin'. Gets me and my walker out there on the dance floor! Don't retire until you put out another CD, Eric!!
You couldn't ask for a better performance from Eric, he definitely had it going on. The mid-song guitar break...it was like the guitar was speaking to us.
Got to get better in a little while........ I am a great lover of Clapton music and I just wanted to throw in there you're looking good for your age my brother take care and hope to hear you soon chow
I was about 14 rows from him the other day and he's still killing it! He tore this song UP at that show too. I'd say this was maybe my favorite song of the night if I had to pick. The ONNNNLY thing I wished he would've done differently at that show was to play at least one Cream song but that's just a selfish request on my part. He's still an all time living legend. No doubt.
@@SimpleManGuitars1973 I saw that same tour 9/21/21 in Nashville TN. It was GREAT!!! I do wish they would have done the electric version of Layla after they played High Time We Went for the oncore. Even though we did get the acoustic version it would have been awesome to get the electric version.
@@markhaus2830 I also wanted an electric Layla and honestly thought he might do both because he has before. The acoustic one was great too. The acoustic song I really was hoping for was Change The World. I was at the Nashville show too btw! Marcus King rocked it and so did Jimmy Vaughan.
First saw him when I was 19...almost fell out of the first row balcony trying to get a better look. Loved him then, love him now and I am 70, he is the best guitarist I have ever seen and I've seen them all.
Eric Clapton makes his guitar sound like an orchestra. There's nothing you can't hear in it. It's like he's playing all the instruments on stage with him at once in the moment. Deep bow profound thanks
I think he was referring to when he is dead! :D In other words it will be his grave marker. If you look at the song as a whole I think that is what he means. Things have to get better because they are not! Just my impression of the song. ;)
Life got you down? Just sit back and listen to musical perfection. Awesome how each member of the band work together to create a magical experience. All I can say is WOW!!
Great call! Totally agree! He’s a magician on the thing! “Go Back Home” on his first album, and “The Love Gangster” on his Manassas album are just two examples.
"Tales of Brave Ulysses" oh man what great use of a wah pedal - also the very beginning of his solo with it on "Presence of the Lord" - man, just fantastic.
Clapton is a musician of many parts, playing, singing and writing all at the highest level. People forget what a student of music he is and that informs his flawless taste in his choices.
Great song writer and musician Eric Clapton! We are the same age exactly both born in England and I,ve enjoyed his music for many years. Keep well and good luck!

I’m 17 and about to graduate from high school in June. Thank you Eric for your beautiful music that helped me through the stressful time in the college application season.
I’m 80 & have been a fan since he first came out. Long live the guitar solo! Listen to the old stuff and you’ll learn about genius. Lind80.
Early 2000's I was an Australian trawling blues festivals in Texas. Happen to be abit dutch ? haha
Always down in the double trouble :)
and I am older thandirt & still grooving to Slowhand's music 🎶 Eric Clapton 4evah
There is only one, Eric Clapton!
Eric's music is my drug of choice.
Admired this man for over 50 years and can' t get any better .
Not to mention the talent that surrounds him .
Yeah but your doing it and keeping the music a live with in you...
Right On Brother !! !!
You do realise that Eric Clapton is English?
Some of the greatest blues performers are British. One of them didn't even play a guitar. That would be the incomparable Joe Cocker. American blues artists worshipped his voice and soul.

I wish you the same...with this incredible sound...

Thanks, Chief. Love to you too 🎉
And to you! May your worries be small and your presence enjoyed!
You are fine!!!!
Hey, wish you the same 😂😂😅
When I'm feeling down, one of my uplifting songs..
Well, I've been sick with who knows what since early October. Very scary time 8n my life. Somehow I found this maybe yesterday when I was giving up. Thank you, Eric!!
@@rachelcampbell8541 Do what the song says to do. Mr. Clapton knows. God bless.

One of the most killer rhythm sections ever.
Nobody does it like Clapton! I'm almost 68 and dam, he's still out there stylin'. Gets me and my walker out there on the dance floor! Don't retire until you put out another CD, Eric!!
i just turned 65 and i realize that i'm listening to Eric for more than 50 years now ('though at the times i was more into Jimi ;-) ) - GREAT PIECE!
Eric Clapton…..Got to get better in a little While…..
Good Song…I like it
A modest and unassuming gentleman. Go Lawrence.
Eric has been a treasure for about 50 years; we’re very fortunate to have his talent and hopefully for a long to come
I was about 14 rows from him the other day and he's still killing it!
British treasure, lol.
First saw him when I was 19...almost fell out of the first row balcony trying to get a better look. Loved him then, love him now and I am 70, he is the best guitarist I have ever seen and I've seen them all.
You saw Stevie Ray Vaughn?
Skydog?
@@johnbergh1961 Yes! He was pretty darn special.
@@kevinfutterman9142 Yes! With Clapton and with the Allman Brother, of course. He brought me to tears.
What about SRV? Do you know what EC told Buddy Guy about SRV on the way over to Alpine Valley the last night?
Eric Clapton makes his guitar sound like an orchestra. There's nothing you can't hear in it. It's like he's playing all the instruments on stage with him at once in the moment. Deep bow profound thanks
Thanks for the love & support ❤
Eric is the embodiment of all the blues and rock guitarists that came before. And the guys and girls that came before, were wonderful tonight…
The sun's been shining on Clapton's guitar since the sixties
Amen
since he first picked one up!!!!

FOR SURE!! xoxo
I think he was referring to when he is dead! :D In other words it will be his grave marker. If you look at the song as a whole I think that is what he means. Things have to get better because they are not! Just my impression of the song. ;)
Don't wait until tomorrow. Do it today. DO IT TONIGHT!
AMEN. 🙏
In a little while.., sun is gonna shine ✌️
Yes Eric is the best!
Life got you down? Just sit back and listen to musical perfection. Awesome how each member of the band work together to create a magical experience.
All I can say is WOW!!
And also : " Thanks God !!!!! )
Totally agree. I love this song and love to play along on my guitar.
if we listen we get better in a little while !!! ciao

Clapton's use of the wah, particularly during his live playing, is at once tasteful, erotic, controlled, and explosive. So damn good!!
Not a competition, but love how Stephen Stills handles the wah as well.
Great call! Totally agree! He’s a magician on the thing! “Go Back Home” on his first album, and “The Love Gangster” on his Manassas album are just two examples.
Hear him on White Room with Cream. He picks the splinter out of it.
Yes!
Rolling Freight Train, running 120 MPH, smooth and under control. 😎😎😎🎵🎵🎵🎵
Great song writer and musician Eric Clapton! We are the same age exactly both born in England and I,ve enjoyed his music for many years. Keep well and good luck!
It’s 3:45 am. Need to hear this
Hello 👋 fan, I really appreciate your encouraging comments towards my music, The best way i can reach out is giving you guys good music but that seems not to be enough, Here's my private channels to appreciate y'all, where are you from and how long have you been a Fan?
That backbeat is so cool. Crack. And all the drummer's fills are exactly the tastiest thing to play. The snare's nice tight sound sort of updates the tune.
But, not the greatest mix in the world...smudgy.
Give the bassist some love.
