Lyrics:
Some like this and some like that
And some don't know where it's at
If you don't get loose, if you don't groove
Well, your motor won't make it and your motor won't move
Bow-legged woman doing the boogaloo
She got a jive, she got a move
Turn around, do it again
Bow-legged woman, where you been
Fat Jack owns a honky-tonk downtown
You can catch a woman if you hang around
You can tear down the door, tear down the wall
Fat Jack he don't care at all
Easy come, easy go
Anyway the wind blows
Hey, drummer, drummer, can you give me that beat
Can you give me that beat, got to move my feet
Guitar player been all around the world
But he can't play a lick for looking at the girls
One two three four five six seven
Well, you'd better change your ways or you won't get to heaven
Eight nine ten, gonna stop at eleven
Eleven just lays around with seven
If time don't tell you then don't ask me
I'm riding on a hurricane down to the sea
If you can't hear the music, turn it up loud
There's movement in the air and movement in the crowd

I freaking love watching these two giants play together. Simply a happy place for all of us!
JJ, I miss you, my friend ..RIP.
Thanks for sharing, Eric !!
So appreciative that Clapton is leaving a wealth of great footage of musicians playing and interacting with each other through music, whether it was Clapton at 70, all the Crossroads festival footage and now this!
Eric has never looked so pleased, so satisfied. He looks like I feel.
That is the great thing about Eric Clapton. He is a humble man and respects musical talent. He knows how to ride the back seat and be great at the same time.
Dude hardly can play a tune not in C or G. All his stuff sounds exactly the same. It's a shame Cream leaned on him
Eric Clapton is my hero, but I know his hero was JJ Cale. When they played together they had so much fun and joy.
yeah. Seems like they had a good thing going
I saw J J in Stockholm, Sweden 1976. Such a shy man onstage, but a wonderful musician, and what a legacy of songs!
It's good to see a youngster playing with and learning from the best
True pleasure for all
Derek knows he is in the presence of greatness, and gives them the attention and respect they deserve
What a treasure JJ Cale was. R.I.P. and thank you for all the great music you created and passed on to others.
He certainly was! I'm still playing JJ every day almost. I'm old enough to use his music for physical therapy work-outs now 😀
Love That Doyle & Derek Were Able To Both Be There To Back Up Eric & JJ Cale & To Add That Set To Their Musical Memories ....
JJ was the coolest dude on the planet!
This is the true meaning of "imitation is the highest form of flattery". Clapton always gave J.J. Cale credit and worked with him whenever he had the opportunity. He didn't just steal a sample, or remade the song, without giving the original artist credit. Mad respect.
Eric has a strong and lasting connection with JJ Cale! Eric was inspired by, the one and only, JJ Cale, his extraordinary talent and music and benefited by reviving them, in his own special way! We are grateful to both JJ CAle and Eric Clapton for their music!!!
Katy-tj2rr, 🎯🎯🎯
There's greatness here.
Thats music🌞
Pure magic.
Yup. Easy, come, Easy go....Anyway the wind blow.
JJ Cale....the master of "less is more"....
It dont get no better than this, These 4 are legends, God Bless JJ Cale
JJ Cale was the real old rock n roll bluesman GENIUS RIP! NICE ONE DUDES
Hello how are you doing today I hope you are having a nice day today
I love the chemistry between all 4 guitarists! Derek is ALWAYS in a state of respect and learning! Eric & JJ do it!
I love these two together. Cale was a treasure. I have never saw anyone ever play guitar with such ease. He was so relaxed . R.I.P. Cale love you.A great and gentle man.
My son and I had the privilege of attending this concert and seeing this performance live. Awesome show!!
I honestly think that Clapton worshipped JJ Cale in his own way. Said that JJ was largely behind his coming out of hell in the seventies. Then he just launched into that Tulsa sound era which I just love. Most of his band were from Tulsa at one point. You'd think it would be JJ worshipping Clapton, but it isn't. I love these clips of them playing live together. And without Clapton, we might never have even heard of JJ Cale. Their relationship is a pretty cool story ♥
Oklahoma had a hell of a lot of talent coming out during that time. All the boys from UK picked up on it real quick.
Love that Tulsa sound much love Fae Scotland
A lot of great music after Cream for all three members.
Easy come easy go.🤔💯👌
❤️
Cale is Jesus, Clapton his disciple its that simple. They are so perfect playing and singing together. So sad JJ left us too soon, he was a great musician and wonderful human being and wish to God I might have seen him play live knowing more and more Blues greats every day. They are like two brothers to each other and to see how they interact in performances shows it. How wonderful and some people are always on Clapton for what I know not, he seems to always be good to everyone playing with him.
You had a true Huckleberry Friend in JJ Cale. Lucky man indeed🎉
Two of the best ever!
These musicians are SO generous to each other.
Mutual respect personified!
Love it......Jim from UK
It's nice gettin the old guys and young guys together.
WOW,THE WIND SHO BLOWIN ME AWAYYYYYY
JJ Cale what an incredible singer & guitarist. And ,with Clapton & Trucks brings tears to my ears everytime I hear it. Such talent!! 5:31
Words cant do this vibe these cats just unleashed into the atmosphere any justice. That's a groove that perminates & is there for you to tap into. When EC, Derek & JJ get together the world balances perfectly, smooth cats, deep soul, kindred spirits. Duane Allman is digging this from his favorite fishing hole
Not to mention Doyle. His left handed chug moves this piece
Eric LOVED playing with J J Cale xxx
JJ Cale, Lord how I adore this man! What a genius 🥰 even named my son after him, whom it turns out is a bit of a genius guitar player and singer himself! Maybe it’s a blessing! God bless the great man. ❤️🦋🙏
Cara Lama 🎼🎸
thank you
I named my son after Francis Hayne..a 17th century French composer and he’s a music genius too! Wild! :)
I personally love this particular band. Somehow they make the old favorites sound fresh.💖💖💖💖💖💖
This is what real music sounds like
Love the 2 brothers holding the rhythm down in back.....:)
Oh my JJ my first and only find as a teenager.. radio Caroline.. records from Virgin shop in Coventry..absolutely unforgettable x
My bullying older bro introduced JJ to us younger ones. So, we have one thing to be grateful to him for...
I love to see Eric and JJ playing and loving each other as they gleefully strum together- Fantastic!
Noniih tätä juhlaa son ku JJ & Kumisormi synkronoi; I'm Sanaton 😍
I visit JJ's grave near San Diego every two years. When driving back to SD you can see the arena where this concert took place. I always listen to this song when driving by, thinking about JJ.
JJ Cale, RIP, legend.
R.I.P. J.J.
Look at how JJ and Eric look at one another. They loved one another, respected one another and appreciated one another.
They had fun together !
..and you can see Eric helping J.J. along a bit, pure love.
They just knew man .pure talent . 0
Mike Silke brilliant stuff. M
@@petermilne1203 Much of Clapton's success is directly attributable to JJ Cale. JJ had a very distinct style as do most great guitarists. Being that he composed the song and played it in his style, doesn't lend itself to being "helped along".
JJ & EC.. surly know the way of the wind. Feel like I'm back in San Diego. Now 2023, & viewing two of the best✨🎸🎸✨ players. What a treat, Thanks gentlemen.✨💯✨....🎶🎵..
Now I know why EC has always loved and admired JJ. This video, this music is a master tribute to that fact
You can't beat the the 80's & 90's era of music and movies.
Little did I know. So grateful to have found this.
JJ could make it sound like he was playing slide without using one. Such feel and groove. Cool as a cucumber too.
Derek is a brilliant guitar player but he's looking at J.J like a student to a teacher. So much respect!
great observation...
JJ has sooo much spice is incredible I think they didn't see any of that sauce coming so they started paying attention
So right man.
Agree!
Noticed that as well… admiration
Loved JJ Cale started listening to him in 1973. It’s his incredible song writing ability but mainly his signature cadence! RIP
Magic moments. Thank you Eric and J.J.
Ah man . . where you gonna go , i always come back to these guys . . . been following Clapton since he was in Cream , saw Cale Hammersmith Palais 1973 , checked out the rave scene , i'm back here . . its home for me .😃
JJ Cale was a musician's musician. One of the great guitar players and a sensational songwriter.
Could not say it better than that!!
I happen to know quit some great guitarist. But if you are a great guitar player AND a great songwriter AND a great guy, that is how geniuses are created.
John Cail. R.I.P. Was the only one singer/songwriter with no ambition at all. Eric Clapton idolized him. Thanks for everything. E.T.from Amsterdam.(the Netherlands.) Almost 63 years old.
And fantastic singer! I like his voice. "The Problem" from his one of best music i ever heard.
@@BiztosTudniAkarod90 and the solos, his guitare work is superb
It is so nice to see jj smile
No matter how many years pass, this song will stay in our hearts forever!💖
That's not just music, that's food for the soul. Timeless
!!!+++
yea
Farout man. Fro the old Aussie.
Amen

Derek Trucks never takes his eyes off JJ. Four great guitarists out there
I KNOW! Love his expression the whole time. Imagine!
Doyle ain't no slouch either.
@@oldguysmusic2929 Absolutely true - excellent guitarist.
He’s captivated by the chemistry between JJ and EC.
Amen
Sounds like we’re all having a good time ❤🎉❤🎶😁
Thank you so much all of you fantastic and wonderful playing together. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤
The country-blues guitar summit. I cannot imagine it being any better than this.
One great regret I have is never having seen JJ live. RIP, man.
its great, 4 men, 4 guitars and one super sound. Its a pity that they never will play again in this combination.
Can't believe it took me this long to subscribe to Clapton! The Cream albums were such a huge part of my music experience since an early age.
Clapton has arguably the best electric guitar tone in history, from his days with Mayall to present-day.
Long live the Legend!!
Perfection right there
Those close ups are priceless! The way that Clapton and Cale were reading each other like master magicians with their wands!
When you're as great as they are you dont have to read each other, it just comes out naturally
The face of the guys playing with them. They don't seem to believe it
It's not exactly Mozart- They can do this in their sleep! lol
JJ clearly running the show has it over Eric
Who’s the fourth guitarist?
Nobody has ever made more out of less than J.J. Thats one chord and one rhythm and what a song.
Harlan Howard: “All I’ve got is a red guitar, three chords, and the truth.”
JJ Cale: “That’s a couple o’ chords too rich for my blood.” Truth-simplified.
To me, the highlight of the whole Crossroads DVD 2004 was JJ Cale playing with Clapton. I always go back to that them playing "Call Me the Breeze" and "After Midnight" It don't get much better than that - the feel is there ... MAGICAL moment
Clapton has been my favorite since '70s. Best guitar player ever!
❤
The best guitar player ever is sitting 2 seats to the left of him 😊
I think Danny Gatton holds that title. Honestly irreproducible
We already knew that Eric admired J.J.'s guitar playing, but from listening to them singing in unisson, I believe Eric is also fond of J.J.'s economical way of singing. They sound like 2 brothers.
Well said Mr. Laberge!
@@chriszelez7970 Thank you Chris, and have a nice day!
he admired his songwriting and the way of making records as well. JJ was an excellent studio engineer, he studied a lot about electronics and audio technology
@@RobertLaberge 1
What a fantastic concert. Just bought the DVD. Clapton and Cale together are truly sublime. 🎸
JJ Cale has been a great songwriter ! Rip. MV
Miss you JJ, and yes you can sing! 😊❤❤
any relation...? 😊
@@mikey-b-1978 🎯 😊
Two masters of the guitar.........JJ was just the best and Eric truly loved and admired him.
The person Clapton truly loved in life (other than his kids, I guess) is Cale. It's clear in his loving smile!
And it shows ever time they performed together.
Yes!! A true friendship
The way Derek is looking at their hands, learning all the time, is the sign of a great artist.
And at the time of this he was already considered among the best even though he was still really young.
@@MarmosetMonkeys 🤣🤣🤣 you muppet. Trucks not learning anything? I truly respect Trucks, a great talent. How did he get there? Because he listens and learns. In this video, you can see he is watching the techniques, the dynamics, the touch, the performance. And yes sure, he is checking how to play E chord? 🤣
@@MarmosetMonkeys wow. So I have to learn from you? Anyway, let's cool the jets. I'm sorry for the "muppet" comment. I don't know you. So that was unfair. Apologies. My point was I think Trucks was learning here. Always learning always improving. That's all. Just a joy to watch. I respectfully disagree with the negative vibe of your comment just because the song is all on one chord. There's so much more to learn and to like.
@@davidseares9054 You win the argument. I haven’t heard the word muppet since I was a kid and the muppets was on tv.
You got it buddy, Dereck is soaking it up like a sponge!
not a bad line up there jj,erick, doyal & derrick ! all superb ,talented guitarists WOW----WOW !!
J.J. is gone, not forgotten !, Doyle, Derek, Eric are still with us, my 87 years old Father in Law says he loves me, and we all have this great music still with us - rejoice !
The eye contact and the boot taps sure add to their jamming
Hello how are you doing today I hope you are having a nice day today
So appreciative that Clapton is leaving a wealth of great footage of musicians playing and interacting with each other through music, whether it was Clapton at 70, all the Crossroads festival footage and now this!
He's forever been a messenger of music and to be able to watch the interactions that takes place within the improvised music is a valuable valuable lesson! Something we just dont see much of nowadays.
Just watch how he and JJ interact, while Doyle and Trucks watch as well. Brilliant!
AMEN ..........
Well said!!
Agreed - the quality that went into the Sessions for Robert J and Cream at the Royal Albert Hall are unrivaled in term of video and sound quality and really set the bar for all others
brilliantly stated
Amen to that Mena, i appreciate someone who notices this!
We just arnt seeing these great Musical Philanthropists so to speak just George Harrison, Jim Croce or Jerry Garcia on the scene... Wish i was in my 20's during the late 60's early 70's. Cars, Guitars the women and the euphoric avail-abilities ;).
All the best!
Id pay good money to see these guys🤘😎🤘👍😎👌😂
Maybe the best jam I ever saw!
Me and hubby have been lucky enough to see/hear this magic between the both of you. Thabkyou, Sir.. it was absolutely classic. May he rest in peace. X
Leave it on the stage! Oh,, Wow you guys got it!!
Show EM!
Don’t forget my MAN!
Vince Gill!
Energetic and Tonic sound and band 🎶 🎶 🎶 🎶 🎶 🎸 🎸 🎸 🎸 🎸
All the love and heartfelt respect for Eric Clapton....This man always highly talks about his seniors and artists from whom he hearnt something or the other. Hats off...
I got to see JJ in a side tent at the first Crossroads Festival. He was playing with James Burton and some younger guys, he was so humble. I’ve read he was painfully shy, but he was super nice and talked with the surprisingly small crowd there to hear them, maybe 50 people. Really a musician’s musician. He was symbiotic with EC.
I'm so glad I lived in a time to see amazing musicians like on this stage!
Starlighthours of Rock History
No words...behold the absolute bliss❤❤
I listened to Eric 1st time at 16 yrs old. Our mom & dad we're very strict and we weren't allowed to listen to secular music. When daddy would leave for work, I'd take a little transistor radio, go to the pasture lay in the sun and listen to Layla over and over. As I grew up I'd listen on the car radio as much as I could with a fulltime medical transcriptionist job, was raising my son, James Bradley (a professional sketch artist sold a sketch of Hugh Laurie for approximately $1200) and taking care of our mom for 11 yrs at home after a massive stroke, whatever else I did. I hadn't heard or listened to his music in over 30 yrs. I began listening about a yr ago and was just extremely deep into his life, how everything happened, the Crossroads project and concerts. He is an AMAZING artist and has a beautiful soul! NOTHING HE DOES IS BAD, UNINTERESTING! I would just dearly LOVE to meet him and talk just a few min. His concert in Dallas on Sept 20-21 will be the same time I'll be helping a friend dying of COPD in Mineral Wells, TX. I'm getting tickets and hope to at least wave to show my appreciation! So Eric, if you might see this comment or someone tells you, please......I'm just a 61 yr old female raised on a rural farm in Grant Parish, Louisiana, USA, and you life story is especially dear to my heart bc a nephew went through Adult Men Training Center through Teen Challenge. Would someone who knows him please ask him.........Ty♥️
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOOTAGE FOR YEARS. JJ CALE, TRUCKS, AND CLAPTON. JEEEEEEZ! HEAVYWEIGHTS.
Huahhh! ! What a synchronization! Pure energy!! It's like getting on a train in full gear.
This is one fantastic piece of video and music!!!! Did anyone see the young Derek Trucks watching & learning what he could from these two legends??
Derek is a true Student. Watch him on any stage with the legends. He watches and learns. He knows how good he is but like Randy Rhodes, he's always seeking knowledge from the Masters.
JUST AAAMAZING! Whatelse it cld hve been..Thank YOU MASTERS.
I personally love this particular band. Somehow they make the old favorites sound fresh.
Beware of that Eric Clapton Private Channel message, Kris's Gennrich.
Smiles o super sweet and smooth ♥️
Hello Julie 👋 how are you doing today??
