It's staggering to have entire buildings clearly intended as team spawns for domination on Highrise, and for players to spawn literally anywhere except the side where they control a flag.
This was the most frustrating part about Highrise for me, Domination is entirely pointless. Game starts us on A, then I die and immediately get put onto C flag just for two enemies to spawn right behind me. And any other time I just kept spawning in that stupid tunnel just to walk out and get shot from above.
Me spawning in front of A or C building only to walk forward a few feet and get shot by the three enemies tac sprint slide cancelling at me. Ah just like the good old days
I agree, the TTK vs the TT Die felt inconsistent. There were games I only kept getting hit markers and ended up surpassing John Stockton in the all time assists
Sometimes i empty my 1000 round mag on a guy and he has 1hp but he kills me like 2 shots also sometimes the bullet doesnt hit, i just hope they fixi this
If there was any passion or care for making a good game, Ace would have been brought on as a techincal director or some sort of higher up in game design years ago. This is activision. They only care about money, predatory algorithms that make player retention look good in the corporate boardroom, and lootboxes. No room for common sense
to be fair he mentioned player visibility and battle rage as a problem and they fixed it on the 2nd beta weekend, and alot of the subsequent issues he mentioned are already acknowledged by Sledgehammer's Trello board, some already have scheduled fixes, which is the whole purpose of a beta, to receive feedback on what bugs need fixes
I'm confused about the maps. They're bringing back the entirety of MW2's maps to remaster and they still manage to butcher the spawns. To the point I don't blame people for playing Shoot the Ship religously to do anything progression wise. When I play other games, it feels very strange seeing a beautiful map that I can marvel at without getting shot in the back from a terrible revenge spawn.
Spawns are definitely an issue and I hate to say it but this paints a bad picture given the fact that sledgehammer had issues with spawns in vanguard for quite some time and even after they ‘fixed’ them they were still fairly off. To have this issue AGAIN in this game tells me it’s very likely they won’t get the spawns fixed, at least not by launch and maybe not ever. Whoever it is at treyarch that has nailed it with the black ops games spawn system, we need to give them a call. Lol
@kylecolby8497 I get what you’re saying but treyarch with Cold War managed to do 24 players on maps as small as nuketown, hijacked and crossroads strike and the spawns were mostly solid while these MW games can’t get it right with 6v6 on much larger maps. So id like to think that if treyarch can manage THAT many players on small maps and the spawns still mostly make sense, it can be done for 6v6 on larger maps.
1 little thing is teammate callouts. It was driving me crazy when they were constantly yelling grenade or enemy spotted. And I had several games where it glitched and would say it several times
The worst part is when I die to and enemy and see the operator calling out my location "enemy spotted" on the killcam, when the enemy itself was not even looking at me, basically the game holding his fucking hand...Sad what gaming has come to.
My first impressions were great, it felt really good actually being able to move after a year of MW2022, but after a bunch of matches that honeymoon feeling was already over and I was thinking to myself that every modern cod has to have something that makes me not wanna buy it. The SBMM is so bad, it’s the same cycle every time I get on: have 2 or 3 good games, get absolutely slaughtered and from then on only get into sweaty matches where every game is super close.
Strike package - including the ability to have different streaks on every class, and pointstreaks should be permanent imo. We should always be able to use specialist. I know you were mainly advocating for specialist, but I wouldn't mind support streaks too (the entire strike package system). Was hoping this game would have it since they called it MW3, a game they worked on and therefore designed those innovative features...
One thing that stood out to me alot in this beta was the SBMM felt very strong. So much so that alot of times i felt like my connection sucked because of the SBMM. 😮
I felt like it was a netcode issue mixed with super aggressive SBMM. Some games felt fine, others I got marshmallow hit markers and insta died every time.
Tell me you know nothing about how CoD matchmaking works without telling me you know nothing. Christ, at least do some research before posting. Activision servers being garbo has NOTHING to do with SBMM. PING IS STILL PRIORITISED, no matter what your delusions tell you. Get it?
Can we have 1 year of cod without sbmm in pubs and just keep the sweaty side to ranked play.. for both warzone and mp.. I mean come on all people just do is reverts boost or find ways to get into low sbmm lobbies so the only people it does anything too is the regular players.
@@entryman That would be epic if they actually did something Iike that. I just don't think sledge hammer even has any say whether or not there's sbmm In the game. Sbmm sucks for us so I'm sure it sucks for the devs too when they play the game.
An other issue with SBMM is the lobby system. It break the community. At the old time, it was so nice to do a good game and being able to stay in the same lobby for the revenge. Again and again you could chat with the same peoples between game,… I really miss that
Will be waiting to see how strong SBMM is, and depending on that, for the first time in 10 years, I may not be buying this years cod. I'm tired of having fun for a month and then getting absolutely beat down by playing against the most sweaty people and only having one game a day be fun. For MW2, I stopped playing completely after 2 months. Wont be making that mistake once again
I thought I was going crazy with the aiming. One game my aim would feel snappy and perfect and the next felt like I had no aim assist. Really glad you mentioned that.
I've thought about an idea to pitch to the decisions makers on the SBMM issue. I would frame it as SBMM causes highly competitive lobbies where most players are using meta guns. This (at least in my experience) has actively disincentivized me from buying bundles/blueprints in the past because they included non-meta or non-viable weapons. Just trying to get into the mind of those people at the top that decide these kinds of things. If SBMM was turned down in pubs, people would be free to use more weapons and therefore purchase more bundles.
see this is backwards. they release new guns with every battle pass, and you either have to grind through the free pass (takes a long time) or buy it to unlock the guns. those guns are always OP until the next season. so that bank on people buying battle passes and Im assuming those blueprints are just extra free money they can get out of a small portion of the playerbase
There are a lot of bundle or tracer pack guns that are M4's though, I feel like. From early on in particular. Now we're getting a lot of non M4's some of the guns are good, some are meh, the biggest problem I have usually isn't the weapon itself though. It's the fact that it's not a theme to the weapon, it's a skin to the weapon and it's attachments, it's not uniform and if you just want a different sight or pick a different foregrip or stock. Suddenly it becomes franken gun. Somehow the Cronen Squall and auto shotty (Forgive my brain farting out on me.) were hard to break. Especially if you put a complimentary camo on them. Gold actually worked really well... But this is an exception to the rule. There aren't many BP guns I don't adjust to some degree.
From my 3 ish hours playing, the one gun that stood out to me was the KV Inhibitor. Slap a red dot on it and its a semi-auto rifle that can one tap to the body and head. I saw it in every lobby and it was never a bottom of the scoreboard player. While it wasn't great for quickscoping, treating it like a tactical rifle was WAY too effective. I picked it up and was immediately disgusted with how strong it was compared to the ARs and SMGs I had been using up to that point.
Wow that gun's good The SMGs in this were way overpowered. It seems the TTK on the SMGs are faster than any other gun in the game that I could tell. They can kill you before you can get to pumps off of the shotgun
About the sbmm. I had a friend join me and he said that he hated the game because of the sweats and I immediately knew that it was because of the sbmm because when he went solo he had a lot of fun
Yeah dependng on the other persons KD, playing in a party with lesser skilled players is actually impossible for both people to have fun. My mate isn't very good, he can't play with me cause when we play together we just verse sweats cause my stats take priority, it's sad how backwards Activision are.
The sbmm was cooking me in the beta. I feel I could’ve done better if I had a better idea of who my enemies were and where they were coming from. Also I agree with the bullet penetration segment
@@LordAngelusyou literally can't with their SBMM system, your skill level increases along with your competition so theres no significant sense of improvement
@@stefansimonovic9747 If that's what you think, then go play Roblox, or any other game that has a different matchmaking system. CoD has had SBMM since what, 2007? And they aren't getting rid of it anytime soon. Cope.
So, that's Call of Sweat 2023! I know this may be an unpopular opinion here, but man, don't be surprised if casuals abandon the game 2 months in into the lifecycle. I can already see content creators complaining they can't pubstomp anymore (please note: I'm not talking about Ace or anyone in particular) and blame it on the SBMM being cranked all the way up, and not understanding that they've been asking for a game that's catered for them to use their insane abilities and once casuals discover is no longer fun because they can't even see their target, they'll leave. There's absolutely no way a regular casual (the vast majority, the ones that play for fun after a long day of work/parenting/whatever, and not the ones that actually have the time and energy to "just git gud") can compete against sweats abusing the game mechanics that are catered to them.
The terrible spawns are part of the design. Revenge algorithms feed into the spawns to make sure that bad players will still be fed kills by spawning them in rage flanks.
Brother, you nailed every complaint I had about this beta. You're doing fantastic work putting this video out so the devs can see it. You know they're gonna watch it and consider everything you said, so thank you for this!
@dontworryaboutit9668 Well, they're asking for feedback during the beta and Ace is giving them what they're asking for. I believe it's bigger reputable creaters like Ace they're going to value his opinion.
I was very pessimistic going in, but the minimap + dead silence + og maps is bringing me back. As a SnD player, spawns mean nothing to me and this beta was a blast!
Nothing about this game is a scam. Everybody knows exactly what the game is like and what is being included with it. If you don’t think it’s worth $70 simply do not buy it.
@@2bhenriquezl.franciscoarma333They aren’t lying about anything. They have clearly outlined what is included in this game. If you don’t think it conta as “new” then that’s a subjective thing. Just don’t buy it.
@@R17759A scam is a sneaky or dishonest plan that's meant to con someone. They literally said there would be no COD this year and that they'd be working on 2024s release instead, they also said last year they'd bring all the old maps to MWII, now theyre taking MWIIs guns and mechanics and combining it with those promised maps and instead of charging something reasonable like $20-30 they're being dishonest about it being a new game and charging $70+.
@@DarrakkiiThey didn’t say that though. That was a rumor. I happen to believe that was their plan internally and it changed, but they never officially announced that. As far as whether it is a new game or not that is subjective to a degree. It has a new campaign and new multiplayer content so it is about as much a new game as the original MW3 was compared to MW2. Not a huge difference between the games.
I'm so glad you talked about the connection and aim assist being not consistent. I thought I was going crazy and was constantly changing my sensitivity and dead zone settings. I went back to the current COD and aiming feels great.
@MisterCaution why are you kids still needing aim assist in 2023? Back on Xbox 360 I only played treyarch cod because they let you turn aim assist off (black ops 1 first cod to do so) I’m on pc now but never touched aim assist till blackout coz it had too much health and everyone cheats using aim
@MisterCaution yeah I’ve been on mouse. Aim assist works like a magnet. It will hit shots that a mouse would miss because there’s no magnet. I was a zombies player on controller sensitivity 14. And I still did ok on multiplayer even dropping nukes. And that’s a zombies player lol. If I did it you kids can. Let me give you a tip tho. Change the response curve thingy to linear. Your welcome
@MisterCaution floaty? No that’s why I suggested linear. It feels like mouse but you have to have good thumb movements. Something only high level zombie players ever achieve.
100% whenever I felt like the time to kill and time to die were the same the game felt great. I assume it's dsync because I'll have like 10-20 ping and still have ridiculous moments where the time to die is literally instant. I'll have a "no way was that 4 bullets" moment
I think it's like a stacking effect. Desync favoring the other dude + the other dude running a high refresh rate monitor and high FPS = deleted before you can comprehend it because you didn't get 80% of the frames he spent deleting you
It's going to be better than last year. The sad part is, this is what MWII should have been, and this game is essentially an update and correction to last year's design flaws.
Not too shabby for a $70 DLC. Imagine what game we could have got with MW3 if MW2 actually got these updates and maps. This is the game MW2 SHOULD have been but wasnt because Activision had to fix what wasn't broken only to sell us the solution to the problem they created. Also, I love the semi-serious tone at launch only to have ridiculous, out-of-place skins flood the game only a few weeks or months after release. I wish they would keep this tone throughout the entire life of this game.
You know this is an arcade shooter right? They can only go so far with a realistic shooter. Some player skins don’t have helmets and can survive a headshot, you also can have full control of your body after being shot, you magically heal all the way a few moments after being shot 2-3 times, in warzone you can survive falls that would break soldier’s legs with all that gear, and so much more unrealistic things other than the skins. If you want a realistic military experience, play escape from tarkov or those more realistic military games.
I noticed a few things while playing the beta that seemed off. First, I wasn't noticing many grenade indicators such as the breacher drone or flashes. I did notice this with frags and semtex nades though but this seemed a little strange especially with the flash grenade changes. Second, I had a really hard time seeing people on Highrise and Estate specifically and like you mentioned, it's likely the filter on the game. It's just really hard, especially for someone who's colorblind. I never feel the UI colorblind assist does enough to help and I know I'm not the only one who feels left out of games sometimes because of this. Lastly, I don't know how I feel about keeping these remade maps true to the originals. Maybe it's an issue compounded by the rough spawns and poor visibility but this is especially a problem with Skid Row with the head glitch on the stairs watching the center lane and Highrise where you have the parkour route to the top of the roof and the upper office window. I don't mind that those positions exist but the fact there's only one way up makes them too easy of positions to farm kills. It reminds me why I'm not a fan of lots of these older maps. It is funny to me though because they changed the maps to have doors (which I don't mind) and they removed the tube on Rust near one of the infill locations that used to watch the back lane under the piping. Sledgehammer has shown they're willing to make changes to these maps if it means potentially improving gameplay so maybe it's worth considering adjusting the other maps if it means the game can flow better. I know this looks kind of ranty but I feel like it's important to share, especially since overall, I had a ton of fun playing the beta and I like the changes they've made from MWII. I'm still waiting to see what launch looks like before I consider picking it up but I really do hope they can craft a fun experience and refine what they've shown us because it has promise. I also didn't want to discuss balance because generally, things felt pretty good with a couple exceptions but this is only a piece of the pie and we need to see the whole of it all to get a feel for where things fall in weapon and equipment hierarchy. If you took the time to read all this, I really appreciate you. You're awesome for listening to my take and I hope you have a great rest of your day :)
@@lucky13sj Honestly, I had no idea you have full freedom to adjust the UI colors as you please. If that's the case and Sledgehammer also addresses the opacity and contrast issues, that could go a long way. However, that still might not be enough to keep player models themselves from getting too washed into the map coloring. Right now, everything looks a little too hazy. That is really helpful feedback though so I appreciate you sharing it with me.
@@Hayashi_XIII I just find it funny that a lot of the streamers don't even seem to know that you can do this they act like whatever it's set to is whatever it set to but then they put out setting guides where they change the color of it and they don't suggest it to you. It really gives me the impression that they just want handicap mechanics. And I think some of them are doing it for the furious reasons because it makes it easier to hide things. I'm not saying this guy's doing anything nefarious but algorithms are chirped whenever you repeat things
@@cridler2 - I agree, I think this turned out to be a natural balance. I found myself on Highrise using an SMG against someone with an ACR 35m away winning gunfights because I could strafe a bit and had to hit maybe one more bullet. On the other side, the lack of any real discernible flinch combined with AA working through what little flinch there is, when combined with the TTK made snipers absurdly OP on maps like Rust, while essentially not requiring the skill required in past games to be good at quick scoping.
Nah, its great snipers camping in Highrise hitting chest shots across the map should not be rewarded with easy kills, That is a skill shot and needs to be head only. What is hard for you might be easy for someone else.
I wouldn’t really describe movement abilities as “tools” or a “toolset” since that applies more organically to your loadouts-the tools you bring into each match that define your play style. The movement stuff are just player abilities
Great summary. I think you’re on point with all of this feedback, Ace. I have skipped a few years of COD after being really underwhelmed but I enjoyed this Beta quite a bit. Just hoping some of these things you outlined are changed.
I actually really like tac stance. Being able to pair ads with hippie for situations when the enemy is just too far for hip fire but just too close to comfortably use ads, like tight room clearing, is a great addition
@@TheXclusiveAce Games' choices of terminology and slot types matter. There's a reason that one of the vests gave you two Gear perks but none of them let you pick two Glove perks
Haven't bought a COD since 2019. To get me to buy this one, I want relaxed SBMM in casual lobbies, and I really want lobbies to stay together. A lot of the other things are not deal breakers for me, but I want performance weighted higher than skill when matchmaking. There were a lot of things I liked though. Played about 6 hours on Saturday, and generally enjoyed it.
I'm glad you brought up the weird aim issues, I haven't seen it talked about too much outside of the MW3 sub-reddit. As per usual I think your experience in the beta was similar to mine, appreciate the transparency on the negatives.
Remember people, this is the game you will receive at launch. There will be very few if any significant changes between this demo and the “fully finished” product.
Why do people not mention how this is just pretty much MWII.5? And the fact that there'll be no original maps at launch and it's similar to MWII in a lot of ways, will mean that burn out for this year's game will be much quicker than previous years. Not to mention the fact that we have to pay full price for it.
The maps may be remakes, but you have to consider how many people play CoD now that never played the original MW2. These maps will be new to a lot of people.
Content creators don't want to mention this because they are hypocrites. You will see them crapping on the game around February or March, but now they're trying really hard to ignore the obvious problems of the game.
You guys are so annoying. So what if it is? Is the game good if you previously didn't have MW2? YES. Much better than that BS was. So, rating it by itself, it is a good game. Stop crying about how it's tHe SaMe GaMe... We KNOW! But the machanichs are FAR TOO different where we much rather buy this one. Go tell that to FIFA players, lol.
Love your feedback videos Ace! Feels like your the only content creator who isn’t afraid to speak on what needs to be changed other than just complaining about it in 1 video
I agree with the enemy identification. I shot at my teammates accidentally more times that it actually started to annoy me. And teammates footsteps audio being louder than enemies added to that frustration too. I kept switching between headset bass boost & regular Headset on ps5 to see of it helped. It didn't
i have also noticed the remote sentry turret takes priority over closing/opening doors. This got me killed in snd trying to close a door and it pulled up the tablet. If they do bring wrappable streaks maybe tie it to hardline or whatever its equivalent is.
please take off the HUGE graphic at the begining of EVERY SINGLE ROUND in search and destroy. i dont mind it during the round countdown but its just too much.
I really enjoyed the new ACS Field Upgrade. Popping it on a flag/point and fighting confused attackers from the flank was pretty fun. Also, as far as Field Upgrades go, was pretty nice having a jammer again. Was a pretty big shame not to have one in MW2, what with how powerful UAVs were
The NO "enemy UAV" announcement was a biiiiiig problem for me. I NEVER knew when a UAV was up, so I just had to run with ghost most times (and never stop moving, or i'm on the map).
Thanks for your thoughts as always. I'm hopeful I can give CoD another try this year. I just couldn't do it last year and put the game down fairly early.
All my MWIII feedback (updated): -idk if it's related to the inconsistent TTK or not but I notice that I often cannot hear/feel people SHOOTING at me -bring back bunny hopping -health regen is too slow for the pacing of this game. I know we didn't have access to stims in the beta but even without stims it needs to be noticeable faster imo (also I really hope stims heal QUICKLY in this otherwise they won't really be worth using during a fight) -most animations (such as reloading, or more specifically the delay AFTER the reload animation when you still can't fire for a second, slide speeds, single mantle speed & mantle-fire delay, dive-fire/dive-aim delay, etc) are still too slow -mantling is still slow (changing multiple mantles is much faster but the initial single mantle is still slow) & often takes multiple tries to actually activate -movement is "faster", but still clunky (largely due to the slow animations) -i really want target finder back from bo2 (or something similar). My best friend is legally blind & it's the only way he can really find people. Balance it however it needs but please bring back target finder! -speaking of visual impairments, I'm colorblind and I really miss being able to change reticles for zoom scopes, because some of them are legitimately unusable for me. Really hope reticles return -precision aim assist (which has NO rotational aim assist) seems so much weaker it almost doesn't even do anything (also seems kinda inconsistent but idk) -can't switch loadouts after a few seconds (noticeably shorter than before and not nearly long enough to make ANY edits before selecting) -no enemy SAE warning -the "mute all" button should be a different button from respawn. I should be able to respawn while looking at the scoreboard -deaths on scoreboard -lethals shouldn't instantly despawn when you die (except mines) -overkill vest doesn't even mention overkill -invite& join notifications are either hard to see or don't show up at all (ps5) -the thing at the beginning of the match that says the game mode covers the whole screen and makes it impossible to aim and very difficult to even traverse the map quickly -cutthroat rounds are WAY too fast (people are too scared to even leave their spawn, and barely have time to anyway) -downed movement is too slow. For how quickly & easily you can be finished once downed there is basically no point in being able to move at all with it this slow -tac stance button can be set to ads+sprint, but weapon mount cannot (would be the best option imo since you cannot sprint while ADS anyway) -add Sprint cancels reload option -ADS cancels slide option
I agree with everything except bunny hopping. Fuck that shit xD. We already got slide cancelling back and i fucking hate it, bunny hopping as well would just be awful.
I agree ,I've noticed all the same issues, and hopefully, they're addressed.would like to add 1 thing to this list,it's the 150 ttk .I feel it should be dropped to 100 only because the 150 gives snipers and shottgunners a huge advantage over any other type of gun.
The gameplay is so, so, much fun. Played a worse statline then before, but the game itself felt so much more fun with sliding, juking, moving etc…awesome!
The only person to go into full explanation about connection problems. No where on "X" did anybody mention in their cons about connection problems had me thinking it was a me issue.
I found that playing around 40 - 50ms is optimal. If you have very low ping 20 or less then you will experience super bullets when their damage is off against their movement. So it looks like they don't shoot are haven't seen you yet but the damage is already registered on the server before the movement is shown to you.
A cool and thematic twist on Specialist would be letting you steal a piece of gear (perk) off your kills. To balance it, give it a progress bar while you hold a button over their body to loot it
I do not play COD that much but follow your channel. It seems like with every single COD release in recent years Spawns are always on your list of issues.
I played the Beta on PC. By no means am I a fantastic player, but i'd argue im a cut above average with a 1.4KD. Im not sure if SBMM takes your performance from previous games. But thats what it felt like. First game on the beta i was paired against level 29/30 players who ran through me. It was honestly wild, and the connection issues were super prevalent. I joined my buddy who averages a 0.9/1.0 most games and the game instantly felt easier. It was a night and day difference and i started dropping 1.5 KD, 2.0 and some 3.0 KD games. And it definietly seemed like half the players i had killed didnt even have time to react. At some points i would hit a player with 3 headshots and a body shot using the Striker and they wouldnt die. Which seemed odd to me. Another issue I found, and its rather niche is the animation's for vaulting were weird. From the outside there were times where people vaulted onto an object and it looked like they teleported.
Guys have fun , i wont be playing this one unless so much changes . I play games for fun !! And this wasnt for me played to lvl 30, and I gave it a shot..
I think a thing that many people are overlooking is the lack of play of the game. Such a better feature than final kill in every mode besides SnD. Hope it can return!
You know the one thing I was really disappointed with ? When I finally unlocked the akimbo wsp stinger the fire rate was cut in half. I get it from a balancing point of view but I was kinda hoping it would be like using the akimbo G18s from MW2. Oh and SBMM is absolutely rampant why they cant just implement a ranked playlist and leave public matches to connection quality is beyond me. All in all I had fun with the beta
You nailed alot of good points, my thing I would add is there's next to no flinch on snipers. I had way too many people abusing this in my lobbies, going against in particular the Longbow users.
It’s extremely reassuring to know that I am not the only one dealing with connection and aim issues. It was wildly out of whack and I don’t think CoD has ever felt this bad with the netcode. I think this is a big deal breaker for me
I have a strong feeling that many issues like you stated will cause players to leave over to Xdefiant, not to mention when they start flooding the store with stupid childish futuristic cartoonish costumes.
Xdefiant will be like the 2 betas they have had, just a complete sweat party, not a game designed for casuals at all. It will be fun, but not a casual experience, noobs will go straight back to their protected lobbies in cod.
My biggest gripe right now, seens to be a weird issue with the hit detection. I can kill 3 people in a row but then the next guy my aim seems to be way off and i miss heavily. That coupled with the absolutely horrendous spawns makes this game unplayable. The actual base fundamentals of the game are good, but the hit registration and spawns means I won't be buying this game personally.
this longer TTK is a huge issue if these connection problems arent fixed, it constantly feels like enemies kill you faster than should be possible i even checked this with a 60 FPS recording of me shooting a striker and me dying on my screen, there are multiple instances where i am dying multiple frames before the actual minimum amount of frames to even fire four shots
what your feeling is the lag compensation, sadly we notice it more with the longer TTK im not qualified to explain it but its got to do with making sure when you point at a player on your screen and shoot that it actually hits whats on your screen and theres some weirdness that can arise from that you can have some packet loss in the connection and then receive a packet telling you youve taken X number hits since the last server update and that can make it feel like you got insta killed but its jkust the lag comp making sure all the hit registrations get to each player correctly and shots dont ghost due to lag
I didn’t notice the tac stance tooltip coming up every time I was aiming down sights. I turned the tooltips off. Maybe I just got used to it tho. If you haven’t done that yet try turning those tips off. Or whatever it’s called.
I agree with all the things you’ve pointed out, I just gotta add how ineffective EOD and Tac mask were in the beta. I was still dying to most explosions and still getting blinded for a full 2 seconds with the flash bangs.
I really didnt like the TTK. Well the Weapon Balancing maybe. Most of the guns I wanted to experiment with just took so long to kill other players and they felt real spongy. I might just not be good at CoD anymore, but I felt I lost a good amount of my gunfights no matter what I did
I thought it was spot on. You have to hit a lot more bullet now compared to older cods. I like that. Now when I am in a fight movement is a lot more effective, especially strafing around the player and jumping backwards around corners. So many fights people just couldn't hit enough bullets on me to take me out. Previous cods you could spray and prey would get a lucky kill in 2 bullets.
Its also the big problem of all that Latency and where yours and the other person's connection is at. Like how Ace said the Hit Detection was awful for sure
Another thing I noticed and this may have been a one time thing but I was playing skidrow on the 3v3v3 gamemode and I came up the stairs to that center of the map and I was gonna play the top of the stairs for a second because I knew the other team was pushing the flag that was up top in the center. Well I got killed and it seemed like he knew exactly where I was at with no apparent intel. In the kill cam you could audibly hear me step on a foldable metal chair that lays at the top of the steps. I had no idea I gave them a perfect sound que for my location. I understand not wanting to tune a players own sounds too loud but it was inaudible to me. Thanks for the great content as always Ace.
Last cod the beta was better than the actual launch, as long as they listen to fans and dont do what the last developers did, this game will not flop, the problem is how consistent will they be and how much are they gonna listen.

After so many years of the community begging to remove SBMM, I wish they would at least give it a try. At least one playlist without SBMM, even if its just limited. Just to see if giving us what we want is truly so bad.
I agree with what's already been said in the video - especially about the matchmaking/connections. I'm also very disappointed that the UI hasn't changed. However, my bigger gripe, and probably the reason why I may skip this game is I'm not a big fan of the longer TTK. Maybe the last game was too fast for people, and that can be understanable, but I feel this is an over correction. Most kills seem to be taking 5 shots on average. Maybe we can lower that to 4, for a decent middle ground? I know they probably wouldn't make that change, but it would be nice.
Not sure if you experienced this too Ace, but I had a bug whereby if I was killed whilst in Tac Stance, I would respawn locked into Tac Stance and I was unable to come out of it. Bare in mind, I turned the Tac Stance option off completely so it shouldn’t be activating at all, apart from in sliding where it’s forced unless you wear the Tactical Pads.
Pretty much all of my feedback it's here, forgot to mention it would be nice to show the calling card on the pop-up notification when someone is on a streak or calling a killstreak, Great video as always Ace!
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see how much damage I did to another player. The hit detecton or lag whatever it was was so bad for me at times I just wanna know how many of my shots where real. Where I was spraying a doorway someone walks into my spray and still kills me.
Question to all of you. :) Am i the only one that had problems with my aim? I have played since Verdansk and never had a problem with it on warzone with a longer ttk but on thw MW3 Beta i could not land my shots. Would love your feedback on this. Thanks :)
Hopefully they fix all the weird delays with movement. There's a delay before and after the slide, the dolphin seems like it has a longer delay before you can shoot than last year, and they ADS penalty while jumping is still there. Plus reloading takes forever. They hyped up movement and basically just made slide better.
I would like to see "Best play of the match" return at the end of a game like in Black Ops 4. It pushed me to get creative to try and get that at the end of every game. Final kills is usually boring and just not as good as Best kill
I significantly disagree with the breacher drone being balanced, it should never kill an EOD user unless it’s a direct impact but it does basically 90% of the time and you have to be around 4 feet away from it in my experience to not die from it with or without EOD. It also seems to accelerate significantly faster over time so at first it starts slow but after half a second it’s much faster Imo and it’s basically a speeding c4 that goes completely straight…
I found switching weapons helped a lot with this in the beta. I was weapon swapping more than any other cod before. The quick grip perk also speeds that up
I really enjoyed the bata. I want going to rush out and get it but I think I will be getting it on release. My criticisms of it would be: Spawns; The toggle tac aim; some inconsistencies with hit detection on some weapons; Not being able to see enemy players clearly, never shot my teammates so much; Visibility was poor on several maps. Fixed it with settings on my TV but it was like soup as standard. But I enjoyed the gun play some of the best in a long time from cod. Was only playing 2 games then got fed up of getting instantly wiped out when I needed to land 4-5 shots with a 3 shot AR. The maps were so refreshing, and logical placements of power positions and flanking roots. 2nd beta had some of my least favourite maps in mw2 and it was still so much better than the rooftops and corner fests that Modern Warfare 2019 and 2022 went for. Overall very refreshing to be able to play it without wanting to throttle someone halfway through a game.
I could be wrong, but I think L/R detector boosts the brightness of the laser attachments on enemy weapons. Could be a coincidence but I only began noticing lasers sweeping around after I put that perk on.
I would like an underkill class to build around secondaries. Or just a global ability to select a secondary in the primary slot. Be cool to see the Tomahawk come back, be cool if it had it's own melee properties.
Yeah it just spawns you underground for no reason to control a building
I have no clue why they have that stupid system
@@bwhere45 ahhh ok. I sorta had an idea of that, its uust you explained it thoroughly.
I agree, the TTK vs the TT Die felt inconsistent. There were games I only kept getting hit markers and ended up surpassing John Stockton in the all time assists
The price of high TTK BS, one solution is a 100 hp playlist
sometimes it felt that I landed 10+ shots on body with ACR and the enemy didnt die then the moment they start shooting you, you get wiped in a blink
Yeah it’s broken for sure
Sometimes i empty my 1000 round mag on a guy and he has 1hp but he kills me like 2 shots also sometimes the bullet doesnt hit, i just hope they fixi this
@@YA-kr4frit’s not the high TTK, it’s the connection. Black Ops 4 and Cold War both had higher TTKs but they didn’t have this type of inconsistency.
I love when ace does all his improvements that make 100% sense and they don’t get added
Because activision doesn't like good changes
Thus is tradition
@@RokuX51I started watching in 2019 with mw19 and iv been hearing them for 4 years now
You can increase the opacity of the enemy red names and diamonds in the settings. I think it’s under a tab called ‘custom colours’
There’s no opacity control in that menu, all you can do is maybe make the shades of the colors slightly brighter but the same issues still occur.
Agree I can't understand what they were thinking or doing! An entire map and they want to throw every one within 20 meters of each other at all times
Lol
idk why anyone is surprised, Spawns have been terrible since MW19.
It's to the point where after every kill you have to do a full 360 to keep any sort of streak alive.
To me it felt like it was every time I has a teammate near and a grenade near.
I was sick of hearing one of the operators constantly saying "multiple movers" every 10 seconds
In ground war it's even worse, they even talk all the time on spawn screen, saying over and over the same things...
The worst part is when I die to and enemy and see the operator calling out my location "enemy spotted" on the killcam, when the enemy itself was not even looking at me, basically the game holding his fucking hand...Sad what gaming has come to.
gra gra GR GRANADE!!!!
Agree, I hope they get it worked out and really knock it out of the park on launch.

Sorry, but we are a CoD community after all.
You're too intelligent for Activision. Their thinking is literally: MW2019 made a lot of money so SBMM good.
see this is backwards. they release new guns with every battle pass, and you either have to grind through the free pass (takes a long time) or buy it to unlock the guns. those guns are always OP until the next season. so that bank on people buying battle passes and Im assuming those blueprints are just extra free money they can get out of a small portion of the playerbase
It's all about money for those pigs
💡
I'm curious to see how different Xdefiant matches will feel if they stay without SBMM in pub lobbies
I’m a lot more interested in xdefiant than mw2023 mainly because of this. Matchmaking makes or breaks games
I swear this is a top 3 cod if sbmm is removed, i refunded it purely because of sbmm which makes playing the game with friends impossible for me
Top 3 cod in the last 3 years. This game is mid if you play with anything outside of the striker and mcw

I think the wrappable non-lethal killstreaks are a great idea/comprimise!

Yes, that seemed to happen quite a bit after I went on a kill streak. Someone only had to see me and I was dead. Where as before I could take cover.
You know the skins will transfer right? It will be ridiculous day one lmao
@v9730 Shit...good point. You're absolutely right lol we don't even get a couple weeks before this now.
@maximum4103 realistic to an extent. I'm well aware it isn't a military sim but there should be SOME semblance of realism to this game.
You know you can manually adjust all of the colors for the UI right
@@lucky13sj Honestly, I had no idea you have full freedom to adjust the UI colors as you please. If that's the case and Sledgehammer also addresses the opacity and contrast issues, that could go a long way.
You will just create an smg and sniper META fest, what's the point of running other weapon classes then?
Nah, its great snipers camping in Highrise hitting chest shots across the map should not be rewarded with easy kills, That is a skill shot and needs to be head only. What is hard for you might be easy for someone else.

At this point we're only praying the Zombies mode is any good.
All my MWIII feedback (updated):
-idk if it's related to the inconsistent TTK or not but I notice that I often cannot hear/feel people SHOOTING at me
-bring back bunny hopping
-health regen is too slow for the pacing of this game. I know we didn't have access to stims in the beta but even without stims it needs to be noticeable faster imo (also I really hope stims heal QUICKLY in this otherwise they won't really be worth using during a fight)
-most animations (such as reloading, or more specifically the delay AFTER the reload animation when you still can't fire for a second, slide speeds, single mantle speed & mantle-fire delay, dive-fire/dive-aim delay, etc) are still too slow
-mantling is still slow (changing multiple mantles is much faster but the initial single mantle is still slow) & often takes multiple tries to actually activate
-movement is "faster", but still clunky (largely due to the slow animations)
-i really want target finder back from bo2 (or something similar). My best friend is legally blind & it's the only way he can really find people. Balance it however it needs but please bring back target finder!
-speaking of visual impairments, I'm colorblind and I really miss being able to change reticles for zoom scopes, because some of them are legitimately unusable for me. Really hope reticles return
-precision aim assist (which has NO rotational aim assist) seems so much weaker it almost doesn't even do anything (also seems kinda inconsistent but idk)
-can't switch loadouts after a few seconds (noticeably shorter than before and not nearly long enough to make ANY edits before selecting)
-no enemy SAE warning
-the "mute all" button should be a different button from respawn. I should be able to respawn while looking at the scoreboard
-deaths on scoreboard
-lethals shouldn't instantly despawn when you die (except mines)
-overkill vest doesn't even mention overkill
-invite& join notifications are either hard to see or don't show up at all (ps5)
-the thing at the beginning of the match that says the game mode covers the whole screen and makes it impossible to aim and very difficult to even traverse the map quickly
-cutthroat rounds are WAY too fast (people are too scared to even leave their spawn, and barely have time to anyway)
-downed movement is too slow. For how quickly & easily you can be finished once downed there is basically no point in being able to move at all with it this slow
-tac stance button can be set to ads+sprint, but weapon mount cannot (would be the best option imo since you cannot sprint while ADS anyway)
-add Sprint cancels reload option
-ADS cancels slide option
Beautifully said 👏
I agree with everything except bunny hopping.
They should ljst straight up give a 100 hp playlist
The gameplay is so, so, much fun. Played a worse statline then before, but the game itself felt so much more fun with sliding, juking, moving etc…awesome!
Yes. They're re-selling you what MW19 was with less original content and extra health, awesome!
@@marioverde1423go cry about it.
@@marioverde1423yes no crappy mw19 maps and extra health means the game will be better
@@v9730 Not everyone likes the MWIII TTK.
Not everyone likes being feed 2009 maps over and over again.
@@v9730 The maps are better but the spawns are so much worse than they used to be. It kind of ruins it.
The only person to go into full explanation about connection problems. No where on "X" did anybody mention in their cons about connection problems had me thinking it was a me issue.
The only main thing that’s dragging it down is EOMM or SBMM, are we that scared of losing Activision royalties?
What do you mean by royalties?
I found that playing around 40 - 50ms is optimal. If you have very low ping 20 or less then you will experience super bullets when their damage is off against their movement. So it looks like they don't shoot are haven't seen you yet but the damage is already registered on the server before the movement is shown to you.
A cool and thematic twist on Specialist would be letting you steal a piece of gear (perk) off your kills.
To balance it, give it a progress bar while you hold a button over their body to loot it
That Groot skin needs to go. It's already difficult to see, almost impossible to see during the haunting event.
I do not play COD that much but follow your channel. It seems like with every single COD release in recent years Spawns are always on your list of issues.
Spawns have been really bad since MW2019. Only Cold War spawns were normal.
@@bushmonster1702you’d think they would ask Treyarch for their formula for spawns. Lol
My biggest problem with the game right now is respawns, otherwise i had a great time with this beta
I agree they should bring it back but it seems when they put it in it’s never accurate or always bugged
@@MayoMonsters "Play of the game!" *Proceeds to kill one person and then the replay just ends abruptley.*

I think this is a big deal breaker for me
Trust me. Every decent cod player is dealing with the bullshit connection issues. They're destroying the franchise.
@@MrFox101 Packet bursts and desyncs are killing me. I don't care about winning or losing, I just want the game to run smooth.
@@poisonouslead85 I feel ya. If I die, I want it to be down to my skill, not a shitty algorithm or sbmm or a cheap server.
I have a strong feeling that many issues like you stated will cause players to leave over to Xdefiant, not to mention when they start flooding the store with stupid childish futuristic cartoonish costumes.
isnt that what xdefiant has as a base?
Xdefiant will be like the 2 betas they have had, just a complete sweat party, not a game designed for casuals at all. It will be fun, but not a casual experience, noobs will go straight back to their protected lobbies in cod.
@@bjarnis neither is cod with sbmm
@@eg6guy6 not from what Ive seen
My biggest gripe right now, seens to be a weird issue with the hit detection. I can kill 3 people in a row but then the next guy my aim seems to be way off and i miss heavily. That coupled with the absolutely horrendous spawns makes this game unplayable. The actual base fundamentals of the game are good, but the hit registration and spawns means I won't be buying this game personally.
this longer TTK is a huge issue if these connection problems arent fixed, it constantly feels like enemies kill you faster than should be possible
i even checked this with a 60 FPS recording of me shooting a striker and me dying on my screen, there are multiple instances where i am dying multiple frames before the actual minimum amount of frames to even fire four shots
what your feeling is the lag compensation, sadly we notice it more with the longer TTK
im not qualified to explain it but its got to do with making sure when you point at a player on your screen and shoot that it actually hits whats on your screen and theres some weirdness that can arise from that
you can have some packet loss in the connection and then receive a packet telling you youve taken X number hits since the last server update and that can make it feel like you got insta killed but its jkust the lag comp making sure all the hit registrations get to each player correctly and shots dont ghost due to lag
@@-rayzer--wolf-6474 Thats why 100 hp playlist s needed
I didn’t notice the tac stance tooltip coming up every time I was aiming down sights. I turned the tooltips off. Maybe I just got used to it tho. If you haven’t done that yet try turning those tips off. Or whatever it’s called.
I agree with all the things you’ve pointed out, I just gotta add how ineffective EOD and Tac mask were in the beta. I was still dying to most explosions and still getting blinded for a full 2 seconds with the flash bangs.
I wasn't at all. Tanked every Explosive requiring a 2nd to kill me and same goes for flashes they nearly didn't do anything to me 😂
@@Magetastic69yeah he's lying honestly. Flashes basically did nothing (certainly not 2 full show seconds) and i tanked most explosive damage easily.
@@pixelslaughter3492 I’m definitely not lying 😅. The effectiveness of them was wildly inconsistent for me.
@mikeybeazley3 it was super consistent for me lol. Didn't die to a single grenade unless multiple & flashes did basically nothing it was great
Lol that streak you dropped at 3:30 was so satisfying 😮💨💯
That's called SBMM, you have sweaty people 360 no scoping you from across the map
Pretty sure the MWII beta was received about as well as the game was.
@@R17759 I mean the standards was low as hell, only reason why it was negative was they basically nerfed any movement made false promises and said kindly to the fans saying this is our game
@@hasannawaz228What false promises did they make? They said they weren’t changing anything from the beta.
Don't worry, it's Activision and SH. They'll surely find a way to fuck it up.
@@R17759false promise of making the game suited to all play style and they said many other things I completely forgot, the video and texts have been lost or deleted somewhere
Some excellent suggestions near the end there. Fingers crossed!
I hate the 150 health. I get like 5 6 hit markers before a kill and shotgun one hit kill range is pathetic
You get 5-6 hitmarkers because it takes 5-6 shots to kill for some guns
Not sure if you experienced this too Ace, but I had a bug whereby if I was killed whilst in Tac Stance, I would respawn locked into Tac Stance and I was unable to come out of it. Bare in mind, I turned the Tac Stance option off completely so it shouldn’t be activating at all, apart from in sliding where it’s forced unless you wear the Tactical Pads.
Sbmm gonna kill this good game
Pretty much all of my feedback it's here, forgot to mention it would be nice to show the calling card on the pop-up notification when someone is on a streak or calling a killstreak, Great video as always Ace!
The beta made me completely uninterested in the game.
Outside of the movement the game is worse in most ways than MW22 and MW19.
Same I didn't feel anything when playing so confirmed I'm over the addiction lol
I was bored within two matches. Waiting for Treyarch.
Same. Just gonna play MW2 here and there until the next cod and hopefully that's better. Mw3 has like no innovation at all.
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see how much damage I did to another player. The hit detecton or lag whatever it was was so bad for me at times I just wanna know how many of my shots where real. Where I was spraying a doorway someone walks into my spray and still kills me.
Mw3 is going to be good at stealing 70$+ from buyers

Question to all of you. :) Am i the only one that had problems with my aim? I have played since Verdansk and never had a problem with it on warzone with a longer ttk but on thw MW3 Beta i could not land my shots. Would love your feedback on this. Thanks :)
Hopefully they fix all the weird delays with movement.
There's a delay before and after the slide, the dolphin seems like it has a longer delay before you can shoot than last year, and they ADS penalty while jumping is still there.
Plus reloading takes forever. They hyped up movement and basically just made slide better.
I hope they fix the name visibility because I can't tell who is on my team or who is my enemy
HUGE ISSUE
I really like the non lethal streaks being wrappable, and not having lethals be wrapped.
Love your vids! You are my No.1 guru as it would be impossible to find out most of the things and catch-up with news myself.
SBMM is the Killer No 1 for me! That´s why switch to defiant.
I still think they refuse to show you your own damage because that would just prove there is issues with your own shots getting registered.
I like the health change but its just more difficult to kill multiple people at once.. it just seems like it takes so many bullets to kill 2 people.
I found switching weapons helped a lot with this in the beta. I was weapon swapping more than any other cod before. The quick grip perk also speeds that up
I really enjoyed the bata. I want going to rush out and get it but I think I will be getting it on release.
My criticisms of it would be:
Spawns;
The toggle tac aim;
some inconsistencies with hit detection on some weapons;
Not being able to see enemy players clearly, never shot my teammates so much;
Visibility was poor on several maps.
The Ideas of Ace are just Awesome, I wish that all of this video is taken into account
Keep sending these remarks to the developers in the official way. Thank you!
I would like an underkill class to build around secondaries. Or just a global ability to select a secondary in the primary slot. Be cool to see the Tomahawk come back, be cool if it had it's own melee properties.
