I believe I've gotten cuttings from you. Nice looking trees. I'm up to 70 types now most of them new to the collection so nothing special. Thanks for what you do. Figs are almost true free market. That's rare
Wow! Finally an excellent source of fig tree growing knowledge. I’ve been chicken to try to grow figs, but now I’m feeling more confident. What part of PA are you located? I’m in NE Ohio, just 1-1/2 hours from the PA border in Massillon, Ohio. I think I’m in zone 5 or 6 and have been concerned about growing figs successfully.
@@PAFigs What if i planted cutting in august (late august) and here we are in dec. 1st and my plants have leafs on them. they are inside the house with a south window and plenty sun. should i let them get dormant? or put them in basement with no light at all. any advice would help. thank you
Lol, dude you need a small pole barn right next to your little fig pad out back. You are truly dedicated!
I would love one! My HOA however, not so much 😆

Happy Thanksgiving. Fun video. Thankfully here in St Augustine I don't need to worry about the shuffle.
Happy Thanksgiving! We keep saying St Augustine is a place we need to visit!

What a workout - nice video!
What is d best month to plant fig tree? Thanks
In my climate, zone 6, we mostly keep our fig trees in pots. I would recommend planting them in the Spring though, well before the hot summer.

I am from PA also, Lancaster County. What county are you in? You have a great looking layout!
Hey George I'm in Berks!
Nice dude!
Have yuo ever struggled with bugs since you're bringing them in a out
I struggle with fruit flies outside. Inside, it's pretty cold in the garage, so no real insect issues.
Looking for the next sale, also in PA. zone 6a. Ronde de Bordeaux and improved celeste. Can I ask the price for the cutting? Thanks so much.
Sorry all done for this year.
@@PAFigs no problem, thanks. Will wait for next year
Do you water your trees when you store them in your garage?
Yes, I try to give them at least a cup or two each month.
Also do you have to water those?
Yes, they need to be watered multiple times a day during the summer. In the winter, they get a cup of water every 1-2 months while dormant.
what size pots?
I've used all different sizes, but now prefer pots that aren't too hard to move. Maybe ~15-25g.
What soil did u put? Thanks
I keep mine in pots and use a mix of pine bark, potting mix, and compost.
