    I just did the exact build on a '13 that i got as a project bike(not running), i whent the same route with the cylinder did some porting and cleaned up for improved flow, i did a WR transmission swap, i got an APEX head with the XC dome(came with the bike), put on it like 3hrs of break in and i love it plenty of low end power and 3rd gear is great for sluging it on the hills, cant wait to full break in so i can fine tune the jets and unleash all of its power, great video keep up the good work brother 💪💪👍👍

    Soooo much work going in to this one. Reading instructions, researching, measuring tolerances, scouring parts fiche, ordering and sorting parts - all before you turn a wrench. Awesome video man! This is my favorite part of a build, that feeling of hoping it doesn't blow up on the first kick...priceless.
    Ride, Wrench, Repeat!

      May I ask what bad experiences have you had with aftermarket parts? Sounds like a great idea for a video on why paying extra for oem engine parts is the better way to go maybe?

      This Mountain Life yes, do you know where i can buy an yz250x head cylinder ? I can't find it on ebay :(

    • @PlushEnduro
      @PlushEnduro  4 роки тому +1

      Cross Univers yes. www.rockymountainatvmc.com OEM parts. I can’t directly link it though, you’ll have to choose the yz250x head from the OEM diagrams. It should make sense when you get in there. Feel free to hit me up on my email address. Colomountainlife@gmail.com

      This Mountain Life thx :) is the yz250x head very different to yz250 ? Or is there just a little difference ?

    • @PlushEnduro
      @PlushEnduro  4 роки тому

      Cross Univers lower compression I’m pretty sure. It would complement the yz250x CDI. I’d do both the head and the CDI if I were building a true x. People say the yz250x CDI makes the bike way easier to ride in the right stuff.

    I know you’re deep in the YZ build.
    I’m a huge fan of your channel. Your attitude and presentation are top notch. I have a question which is, what protective gear do you yourself use while riding? I appreciate your time.

    • @PlushEnduro
      @PlushEnduro  4 роки тому

      Good question. For the top half, six six one armor (covers shoulders, chest, elbows and forearms) which is about 12 years old I think. It’s bulky and terrible. (I definitely need to replace it as I look like I’m dressed for a pickup football game.) Some old fox knee pads where all of the elastic has basically reached the end of its life. Now I’m embarrassed. I’m a mess. Thanks for watching man.

    Looking good! What was wrong with the old crank that it couldn't be used again. Main journal tolerances?

    • @PlushEnduro
      @PlushEnduro  4 роки тому

      Thanks man! Yeah, the output shaft on the clutch side was out of clearance. It was the original crank we think. It was a bummer... I bought this bike, because it appeared to be lightly used. I was surprised that the crank was this worn.

      @@stuckcamping ahh no worries at all... I'M the reason WHY you should work off microfiche. It's awesome that you noticed that though. I really didn't think it was THAT noticeable. Like I said, I did have to tear back into it and flip somethings around. Someone else had pointed it out to me before I even started the bike (right after I had posted the video originally) and I owe them my life now. lol
