    Rossi Rocks..... I have the triple black model, ..... In 38/357 , it's a very good utility tool 🔥 for the bush, easy handling, smooth cyclying, and good hunting accuracy, ....with all brands of ammo....I use a red dot with a 50yd zero, been working good with Accurate powders #5,#7 & #9..... With small rifle and small rifle mag primers during cold weather. Bullet weight is 158gr lswc with a hardness of 12 , it's my dangerous game load. Thanks for your experiment,and research, be cool be safe stay safe......

      Well said brother! I use a lot of #9 powder. I really appreciate you watching. We have been trying to do a few experiments here recently on the Sunday Range Day video's. A good one's coming up this sunday on .45 acp. Hope to see you there. Thanks again. 🤠👍

    Love my two rossis. I have a 45 colt with cresent butt plate and 1/2 octagon barrel and a new stainless 357 mag. Its hard to choose between the two. Luckily I don't have to. Love your video! Thanks

    Man I love the way the rounds just fall into the loading gate on your r92, mine is a real booger trying to get rounds into. I have to use the round back end of a sharpie marker sometimes to push them in. Yours just sucks them up effortlessly lol

    • @RonWayneOfficial
      @RonWayneOfficial  Рік тому +2

      Thanks brother! Wow, sounds like your spring is a bit tight.. just a guess. Appreciate you watching! 🤠👍

      @@RonWayneOfficial - definitely, I have the 16” version so I did cut off about 2 inches of the magazine spring and that helped a little bit, but the rounds still get jammed up in the gate and require something harder than my finger to push them in. I’ll do a little more research and tinkering with it and see if I can get it to load like yours 👍🏻 thanks again

    Look how easy it was to put those rounds. In that loading gate. It must be nice and worn in.

      This is one of the first ones from Rossi, it's never been difficult. (1996 ish) I'm hearing that the ones that came after are a bit stiff.. Not sure when that started though. Thanks for watching 🤠👍

    That's an old one. The lack of stupid 922r safety and the front sight mounted on the front barrel band gives it away. Nice old Rossi! I had a 44 mag carbine about 10 years ago. It was a great little carbine. I've recently purchased several of the new ones - and replaced every one of the safeties with a button. The new ones are super nice and much higher quality than the older ones which were pretty rough out of the box.

      Very true! Thanks for watching. You definitely know your Rossi 92's 🤠👍

  • @WV591
    @WV591 Рік тому +2

    Not sure how old this Rossi is, but strange it doesn't have the safety. I thought they all did as imports.
    Got a 24" R92SS, octagonal barrel 357/38 three weeks ago, and it's amazing accurate and gorgeous and no issues whatsoever. Even loads shorter flat nose 38 specials, 1.4 inch or less, with no problems or eject issues. And didn't bleed all over the place loading ammo.
    Forget the UA-cam BS negative reviews.

    Hey great Video.. I was wondering how you know it’s Walnut stock? I can only find that it’s Brazilian hardwood.

    • @RonWayneOfficial
      @RonWayneOfficial  Рік тому

      Thanks! When I got my rifle years ago, it had no finish. It was a dry black color. (looked flat black) Upon refinishing the stocks the wood reeked of sour walnut. (Unmistakable to me personally) My research into this lists this particular wood as Brazilian walnut. It was not printed on the box, or paperwork. So I could be wrong, I'd have to say it is walnut in my best opinion. Wish I could give you a more definitive answer.. Thanks for watching. 🤠👍

  • @marcalt
    @marcalt Рік тому +2

    Hi Ron, curious what you used to re-finish the wood and to polish? The deep shine looks great on the steel and the stock. Thanks for any info.

    • @RonWayneOfficial
      @RonWayneOfficial  Рік тому

      Hey there! The steel is as it was from factory back in 1997 The wood was as dry as a telephone pole, and stained a really dark dry color when I got it. I worked the wood down with 0000 Steel wool, then applied Tru-Oil. It seems to have held up all these years. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching & your question. 🤠👍

    What was that lead tip? It really destroyed that jug of water-great if no penetration needed, haha. I thought you shot tannerite the way those peas exploded, too bad you shot it from a distance, you guys would look like the Hulk, all green!

    • @RonWayneOfficial
      @RonWayneOfficial  Рік тому +1

      I'm pretty sure the lead tip jacketed was an older Remington bullet. It was certainly reactive! Seriously! Lol!

    It looks like your Rossi loads really easy. Have you "adjusted" your mag tube spring? Or is it just from running so many rounds through it over the years?

    • @RonWayneOfficial
      @RonWayneOfficial  11 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for watching and your comment. This is one of the first ones made back in 96-97 "pre-safety" I've never had an issue with the loading gate spring. I'm hearing that the newer models have a stiff spring. Wish I could help more..

    • @twoowls4469

      Thanks Ron. I just got mi e and took it to the range. I've seen a ton of videos talking about both the gate spring and the magazine follower spring. Mine seems ok on the follower, but the gate spring pushes up hard enough to cause the round to hang up.
      Thanks again for a great video.

    Great video, I loved it, it is hard trying to find those shot bullets sometimes for sure lol. I love the rifle buddy, I wanted the large loop when I got mine but couldn't find one local. Thanks for sharing. Lot's of love from American Hillbilly and Hillbilly Nation, Hillbilly Up.
