Crazy, my sister and I were just talking about this exact thing yesterday lol. It would be awesome to be able to play as the ctrnf characters. Or even just a new, bigger and better Crash party game with all those characters being playable, new games, but also keeping the old ones as well.
I feel like I'm the only one actually wanting a crash bash reboot wtf. I get it, the original game wasn't very long storywise/ gameplay wise. But it was a fun game and has online multiplayer potential that it never had natively been given then at that time. They can make new minigames and characters and expansions and things to expand the game just like CTR now. I mean look at the new CTR in comparison to the original. Much more content and replayability value. I like how CTR was full-drive hyped with content within these last 7 months, but when it comes to Crash Bash even being mentioned everybody is just flat-out shutting it down like "nah brah." "Never gonna happen." as if theres no potential. I mean I, like everyone else want a better twinsanity reboot than the final product we got of the original game (twinsanity was still alright at most, but the game was also too short, and was supposed to be considerably better but they had faced a data corruption at the headquarters costing the game so much more content that year) or also a wrath of cortex remake too but honestly that's just like another crash 3 on n sane trilogy. (Not saying I wouldnt buy it ; because I would still buy ALL of the reboots made.) but can we finish off the ps1 era crash game opportunities first?
I agree, a reboot would be great, and with online play it could be even better than CTR. Not everyone likes racing games but in CB there were many different game types to pick from.
Just add some new levels with depth, remix their order in SP, revamp the challenge modes so they all change the rules and look of the map (unlock these variants for MP too), add some extra variety between level reskins, add unlockable characters and cosmetics, maybe even some secret levels and voila! A fantastic game.
@Darthgipsyjoe that's a great idea!! For others, I can understand some people wanting an entirely new title. but I feel like in these days there is so much potential for every crash game in the series to be brought back under a brighter light ; whether it be a remake or a reboot entirely of a former title. especially when it was a good title and concept to begin with from the 90's-2000, but ofcourse some limitations of the tech and early days of the now-bloomed industry held some of these potentials back.

Are you crazy? Of course I was thinking about a Crash Bash Reboot. ( long before CTR Nitro Fueled was even thought of ) I think we're owed one since Crash Bash isn't even on PlayStation Store, & the fact that it will be the the 20th anniversary next year.

I'd love to have a remake of Crash Bash, or even a sequel. It seems to be the redheaded stepchild of the classic Crash games. But right now, it'd be a great time for a new Crash IP, though I'd love to see one in the future.

Remade with the same level of customisation as CTRNF. Import the character models if you have to. Then the Devs can retire if they want. With the remakes Crash is set FOR LIFE.

Honestly it impacted me so much that whenever i see that sony logo on something i picture this tone and voice saying the name.
Rebooted. I would love a new crash party game. And they can for sure take a lot of inspiration in Bash.
People really complained about the reskins? Lol me and my brother had a blast and never even thought of the reskins being a problem. People can be really picky.
it actually helped with consistency and the challenge as each warp world made it more difficult than the previous one, while adding new kinds of mini games. Also you could play those cups in VS mode, where you could play all the Ballism games or all the Pogo games, etc. The tweaks on each level and the different scenary was enough for me to feel that they were completely different levels.

i didnt really care about the reskins but the fact the you couldnt pause and then go back untill the main menu REALLY annonyed me
Not picky, just some people, myself included, got really bored of the minigames really quickly. Most reskins don’t differentiate themselves enough from each other

I personally think it should be remade, I may have grew up with the game, but it has the potential to be a great party game even in today's market. And based on what they were able to do with CTR, I'd say there is a lot they could do right with it so long as they put the effort into it.
Twinsanity does deserve a remake as well, considering how much of a buggy letdown it turned out to be, but I think crash bash deserves some type of revival first.
But..if they decided to go with an entirely new crash Game instead, I really wouldn't complain.

The actual bash games where you throw crates at each other were my absolute favorite. Way more fun than any of the other mini games.

As for crash bash. I think the best thing that can happen for Crash Bash is for it to not being a remake on its own like the other games but instead, be a side content of a new crash game.
Like imagine if there’s a new Crash game to come out and as a reward for 100%, you get access to all the crash bash content.
Quite like MediEvil remake featuring the original game as a reward for a side quest.

Depending on how many of the levels from Bash a person could've enjoy, that reward is debatably on par with, if not below, Green Hill in SA2

I would rather see a Crash Twinsanity remake than a Crash Bash remake, I remember playing Crash Bash on my PS1, but after I've beaten it, I would just wanna play the original trilogy and the racing game, not hating on Crash Bash, but I agree 100% with you, I think Crash Bash could've been better with more mini games instead of just recycling the same stuff over and over again

I imagine they could have all the mini games return, but have them appear in a different order in the Story mode and create a few new games to fill in the gaps.
Like have The the reskined mini games from warp room 2, 3, and 4 swap with the warp room 5 mini games.
Personally I'd perfer it to stay the same, but if people don't like the reskined mini games then shifting them around and adding new ones would be the best option.
I imagine they could unlock 5 boss characters after you defeat them in Adventure Mode.

Although I can't imagine the Bearminator being playable in Crash Bash.

They should remake Crash Bash and add the Trophy Girls as playable characters. Imagine all the girls beating each other in Jungle Bash...
Me too, also add The Komodo Brothers after beating them in Big Bad Fox and with Crash Bash Remake I will be free from regular prison.
IDK, those girls are filler characters with little personalities. If they're added with many other characters, I wouldn't mind.
Video Games Fan lol what? The trophy girls might be minor characters but they still had way more personality in Nitro Fueled than Crash and Coco did in the past 20 years.

I don't think twinsanity remake makes sense if they don't remake wrath of cortex.
they could add the crash bash mini games too a new main game. Or make a rebooted version of crash bash with a lot more content and a new story.. or even do something like mario party.

It’s a party game, every sequel is more of a remake anyway, just make a sequel to Bash with all the pros of bash

While I don’t think Crash should be sticking to remakes forever, I see great potential in a Crash Bash remake. I like the game and I’d love to play it again on a modern console. Also helps that I’m a big fan of Mario Party. Here’s how I would see a Crash Bash Remake:
-Achievement/Trophy support
-Online Play (Tournament and Battle Mode as well as 2-player adventure mode)
-New Characters (Fake Crash who was playable in the JPN version could be available as a pre-order bonus, even an early unlock. They can add new characters at launch and then for free overtime like in CTRNF such as Crunch and Pasadena on the good side and Pinstripe and N Trophy on the evil side)
-Challenges being playable outside Adventure mode (Similar to how CTRNF made CTR, Relic Races and Crystal challenges playable, this game can do the same for the Bosses, Gems, Crystals, Relics and even the special Tiebreaker Minigame)
-New Minigames (New versions of old minigames or brand new minigames. As a suggestion for new Minigames we can have a multiplayer version of the motorcycle levels from Warped where the first to reach the finish line wins or the boulder/polar bear/triceratops chasing levels where it’s last man standing wins)
-New Ways to Play (The minigames don’t just have to be 4 players, they can also be played with just 3 players or 1v1 style. In addition, add optional modifiers to some games Examples: Red Balls on Ballistix, smaller or larger arenas in Polar Push, double points or play to a set number of points (like first to 200) in Pogo and Medieval Mayhem, double damage in Crate Crush and Tank Wars, change number of laps to finish in Crash Dash etc.)
New Types of Minigames (Take a page from Mario Party and include something like 1v3 minigames. I can picture a game where 1 player controls a giant super tough mech ala N. Gin and the other 3 control tinier spaceships ala Coco and they try to take the other side down)
So in short, like a lot of others, I too would love a brand new Crash game, especially considering the DLC levels from the N-Sane Trilogy and how wildly creative and fun they were, but IMO a Crash Bash remake isn’t a bad idea.

I still consider Crash Bash worthy today of a Reboot cause the Online would be the Gem that it needed back then. Having a party game online could be great fun according to me
Three things: 1) I'm glad to see more Triple R ONE WEEK before Christmas; 2) I'm pretty sure Vivendi (former parent of Universal Pictures) quit publishing console video games due to its poor working conditions at Vivendi Games; and 3) If Activision decides to do a party video game, take inspiration from Crash Bash, but add a Titanic (as in the sunken cruise ship) load of new content and input a thicker story. That's all folks (I'm looking at you, Porky Pig, you stuttering swine)!!!
Edit: Fun fact, the patch on Hasty's jacket in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled references an earlier video game published by Activision that was released for the Atari 2600 in 1982 (WAY before CGE, Sunflower, OR myself were pregnant in our mothers' bellies), called Barnstorming.
This was one of my favorite games when I was a kid. Aside from Spyro and regular Crash I mean. I would love for them to bring it back in some way. After CTR I was really hoping they would. It wouldn't lose it's charm on me and in today's day and age they could add a lot more to it. I didn't have a whole lot of friends. I had video games. This is one of the ones I played most. I think they should bring it back and give it a makeover. It doesn't even need to be standalone content...it could be DLC. I think it's worth not forgetting and bringing into this generation of gamers. Just my opinion though.

I feel like they could have Crash Bash as a multiplayer mode on the next big Crash game. Or if they were to sell it alone they would have to do a MASSIVE reboot of the game.
Its too soon for Crash to be retired. I mean he literally JUST came back. A remaster that sold millions, a racing game remake that also sold millions, and a brand new game that shows a lot of promise that comes out in a few days. Its also too soon for Crash to be rebooted. Last time Crash was "rebooted", his tatoos that were more hidious then the bandages from "Sonic Boom". If anything, the only Crash game that's left that would justify a remake, is "Crash Twinsanity", cause of all the cut content from the original.

There are also 3 other issues you didn't mention:
1) it didn't make sense at the time for Brio to be evil, since he was a good guy on his last appearance beforehand, which was Crash 2.
2) Swamp Fox. It may have been different from the other Tank Wars levels, but in a very bad way. They changed the controls completely to ones that don't fit at all with a fixed camera angle. I really don't know what the hell were Eurocom thinking with this level.
3) there's no extra content or reward for the top percentage of the game.
I don't think Crash Bash needs to be remade but I don't think a reboot would be such a poor decision. Maybe take some of the minigames from Crash Bash (lumping together the reskins so they're just different levels of difficulty rather than separate levels) and couple it with some brand new ones, as well as, adding a more fleshed out story mode, an online mode, multiplayer mode, etc. It'd be a good "filler" game to pass the time between a new Crash or Spyro game.
Ayyy, my suggestion came true! Thanks for this vid 😊 I do agree that Crash Bash just needs to be left alone for the sake of keeping Crash's successful momentum rolling. Plus, I also didn't like the game as much as I used to as a kid when I also replayed it a couple years back.

It's in my headcanon that Crash Bash is actually the first game in the timeline, telling the story of how and why Uka Uka was imprisoned. If you're wondering how Crash and co. could be there, just remember that time travel exists in this universe. How else can the futuristic city of Space Bash coexist with the living pterodactyl of the Dante's Dash Crystal Challenge?

Crash Bash has (for a PS1 game) lots of potential for minigames, but all were just like those Brick Games 999 in 1, not much innovation.
Maybe if they do like in CTR, add new content and make it better, probably the game could be good.

I personally haven't played the entirety of Crash Bash, just through the cheat code in the demo on the Spyro 3 disc. This will likely get a lot of downvotes...but it was repetitive of what I played.
Yes, the full game has more than the entire Bet on the Spyro 3 disc. Yes, it's fun! Buuut, I just think it overall lacks compared to other Crash games.
Could some of the minigames be in the next Crash game in some form? Possibly, I wouldn't be against it.
Crash Bash is easily the most underrated Crash Bandicoot game, hands down. It's much better than Super Mario Party, if you ask me.
I think Crash Bash should me remade, just like CTR was remade and became CTR: Nitro-Fueled. More minigames, more unlockable characters, online play and stuff.

My thought is creat a huge brand new Crash game with a nice long story which is what everyone wants. Then add in Crash Bash as a bonus online multiplayer mode. Easiest way for me to explain it is to like Halo. A story driven single player campaign, with a multiplayer section. That multiplayer section can be a Crash Bash. We all get what we want. Everyone get's their new game, and people who want a Crash Bash remake gets on version of it in a Multiplayer Mode to that same game.
This made me notice a small thing: Medieval Mayhem mini games are the ones with most variety. So, I wonder... could be that at some point they planned to make them under a different age each and make mini-games based on that period, but resorted to reskins to save time?
I mean... Medieval Mayhem feels like they suddenly realized "wait, we could have done it like this. Oh well, we're out of time, let's get this done".
I was never a big fan of party games, so retire it. But what we really need is Crash and Spyro on Smash Bros Ultimate
If CTR can get remade amd also the trilogy . Then so does Crash Bash . Its the last PS1 game for the Crash series. It needs to be remade . The way they did it for both of them they gotta do it to this . We got the charectors from Crash Bash now let's put them in their with the levels of their own . The graphics were a little off so we need to get better graphics just like the the trilogy and CTR got. This was one of my favourite PS1 games it needs to be done . It would feel weird if they do this like 10 years later . They need to do this now . Put more charectors in and more levels with online multiplayer . And it doesn't matter how small it was . CTR got released on its own . Crash Bash can be on its own too . Not in another game . Medievil was sold on its own for very cheap so was the resident evil remake games . Just saying I think it needs to be done .
hunter affleck I don’t think you are really considering how small this game actually is. Even back then it didn’t get the best reviews. I don’t think Activision would risk remaking Bash. You said CTR was released alone, but that’s not true. It had all the levels from CNK and multiple karts from tag team racing. It continues to get new content every month. Bash doesn’t have anything that could help it out. It would need a lot of new content just so it could even be worth buying it. As Canadian guy said current party games don’t have the best reviews.
@@minion2291 but still dude its literally just tracks of racing over and over again . Yet people aren't complaining . Crash Bash with extra levels will be about fighting over and over again as well. And like I said they should have extra charectors released with a bunch of newer levels added on the release date . Maybe there was some cut levels from the Original . Both of the released versions are too small . And if they release a Crash Bash remake I'm sure they'll know how small this is and start making new levels when if they decide to do it . Its not gonna be expensive to buy it . CTR here in Canada is sold for like 50 to 70 dollars in stores like Walmart and others while Medievil Remake sold for 30 to 40 dollars in Canada . I think with the game and extra content they could add to it , 30 Canadian dollars doesn't sound that bad ( I think it's about 15 to 20 american ) The amount that people do want it or maybe even test it out , I couldn't see why not it'll be a risk . Definitley wouldn't cost as much as the spyro or Crash trilogy did or CTR even . They still would make a profit out of all this . Spyro and crash remakes sold millions and millions of copies . People are buying alot of stuff about spyro and crash lately . And yet people ask for a Twinsanity remake which doesn't make sense cause they'll have to add at least CTTR and Wrath of Cortex to make it as big . Since they ain't multiplayer based . And if they add a crash bash type mode in one of those remakes I don't know how I'll feel about that . I think it should be done . They could add count less amounts of levels and charectors and other stuff in a couple months after release like did with CTR . It'll work the same way . Kind of . Not to mention if we want the best new game ,do we really want it rushed ? Remakes that are way easier to make than new games cause they have a plan set forward and of course just add stuff on top. 2 multiplayer games for Crash to keep people at bay for a new one sounds like a good plan to me . I mean unless we want to have an unfinished new game that could ruin Crash again . So far that's why remakes are the best deal . And we need to finish the ps1 era for Crash .

hunter affleck as I said before party games currently just don’t get good reviews. CTR had amazing reviews back then while Bash did not do so well. I enjoyed Bash but like I said it way too small. You have the same exact level just with a different skin on it. I would rather have a brand new party game then Bash remade. I don’t think your considering how limited everything would be if you just kept the same designs. In this day In age these levels need to be pretty big. Why do you think that a new Crash game is being rushed? The nsane trilogy came out two years ago, they would have had plenty of time to get a good game out. It’s been over ten years since we got a brand new game, im tired of playing remakes it’s time to move on.
CTR and the rest of the games sold pretty well and got good reviews is what you’re not understanding. With Bash or even Twinsanity or any Crash game with mixed to average reviews it’ll be hard and the truth being people ain’t into party games like that anymore, unless it’s something like Mario Party and even those have gotten mixed or average reviews in recent years. Yeah they sell well but not received well, they are trying to bring Crash, and presumably Spyro as well, back from the ground up, they don’t want to take that risk again, and the games after Naughty Dog really have not been that well received.
I personally feel like it should be a reboot but with a lot more content and story. It definitely doesn't have enough variety. But I don't think it should be compared to Mario because they are just two different styles of games. Also the difficulty in that game was ridiculous but was also due to bad controls. So yeah, a reboot would require A LOT to change but it can be done right, definitely.
Easily my second favourite crash game next to CTR so id love it! Especially if it had an online component! I'm sure free dlc would be great on this as well! Character roster needs an upgrade right from the start though!

Personally I would say it should retire. We need a fresh new game in the Crash series. If anything, Twinsanity needs to be remastered with all the missing content.

I disagree. I think it can be a hit because it has the chance to be the first truly online Crash experience. Remember Crash Bash came out in 2000 before having an internet connection was essential for gaming. Crash Bash was a party game but now it can graduate to an online game.
in my opinion having lobbies to play crash bash just feels right. New sets of mini games, new characters, new bosses, perhaps a more expanded story with more cutscenes and overall content. Heck I'd throw in some microtransactions to make it more profitable I can deal with paying 4.99 to get Crunch and Nina and... heck Spyro as a character. I think people saying it needs to be retired lack imagination regarding just what is possible with a Crash Bash Reboot. People keep saying they want new crash over remakes but what they don't realize is that it is the type of crash they are asking for that is moving the gaming industry behind. The future of gaming is online gaming. How do you get a new generation interested in Crash in order to survive? By keeping with the times. Platforming crash is fun for sure and we all want something new but having one doesn't mean we can't have the other. Give us new platforming crash first. Then give us a Crash Bash Reboot, then get back to the platforming to let the dust settle. They should take their time with games and let the dust settle.
I was playing the original just last night, not emulated, an actual PS1 disc on my PS3, and I spent hours trying to just unlock all the minigames at one point last year, still loads of fun to play especially if you have people over, or play with kids.
If they were to remake it, I could see it pop on the PS Store as a smaller title, not a lot of marketing or maintainance needed..
A better idea for Crash Bash is to have the minigames as unlockable bonus content in another Crash game. Similar to Super Mario 64 DS. There could be certain objects around the game world to collect, and once enough were collected, minigames would unlock. They could even include some completely new games.
In my opinion, Crash Bash should at most be added as a new gaming mode to CTR:NF, since it would grant us access to as many skins and characters as we could possibly want. Basically, you'd have Racing Mode, Battle Mode, and Party/Bash Mode.
I had a lot of memories with Crash Bash. It was one of the first Playstation games I've ever played. However I can agree with your stance on it being retired given how party games are being received recently. I had fun with Crash Bash, but then I would usually go back to playing Spyro 2, Space Invaders, and Ape Escape 1 (which I rented a lot but never owned it). My point is; a party game is really only fun when you have more friends to play it with. An online mode would fix that issue but it would be too much effort for a game a lot of people will put down in about a week if not sooner. I'm not saying there isn't a crowd of people who would love a remake or reboot of Crash Bash, but I feel like they would be in the vocal minority. Besides that, I believe if they really wanted to make a Crash party game, they could learn from Crash Bash and Crash Boom Bang to make it into a fun little party game.
Crash Bash is flawed, but it shouldn't be forgotten or "retired".

Exactly! Don't know why people pretend that a party game like Bash's suppose to be this next best and cleverly made Crash title on the same scale as the ND games, when it was just a fun casual party game that was very fun with friends.
It's interesting that he considers the game bad because it's full of re-skins of the same minigames. I wonder if he applies that same logic to CTR:NF, with the engine swap feature there's essentially only four "characters" now, and all the characters and costumes are just skins that you put on those four engines/characters. There are tons of tracks in the game, but a lot of them aren't very distinct from one another, and it doesn't take long until you've gotten to the point that you've done every track 20-30+ times and you're essentially doing the same thing over and over.
Being repetitive isn't necessarily a bad thing, if the thing you're doing repeatedly is actually fun.
Character & kart customization is an ENTIRELY different thing when trying to compare the "reskins" to a game with 10 real levels & 18 facade levels. The customization seen in CTR adds more variety & potential whereas BOTH OF THOSE were stunted in Bash because Eurocom ran out of ideas & just recycled 6 levels 4 times each. Think if someone hates a tank level, a pong level & a race level, that's literally half the game despised just after playing 3 levels. Also Bash is a party game, party games are supposed to be full of variety & unique things to do, & 10 levels with 18 reskins don't cut it in that genre chief
@@themenacingsloth the customization in CTR:NF is mostly just cosmetics. If you pick the Speed engine, you're going to drive the same regardless of the hundreds of character+costume+kart combos you use. The "reskins" in Crash Bash actually add different mechanics in each variation of the minigames. They are similar but not the same, just as many tracks in CTR:NF are similar but not the same.
@@snugglebuns6193 OK but are you going to address the part where I said if a person hates about 3 specific levels with different gameplay that's potentially half the game that they'll dislike? An extra gimmick or mechanic means nothing in the long run, if someone like me hates the level Crashball or the HORRID level Dot Dash, then they're gonna hate the other 4 way pong & poor man's CTR levels by default because those levels are, at their core, still the same as the ones they originally hated regardless of whatever new background or gimmick pops up whether it's good or bad (and the N. Gin obstacle crap in N. Ballism is just despicable). This applies to any other Crash game as well. If you hate the any of the chase levels 'cause of the camera angle, then you'll hate ALL of 'em by default, if you hate the jet ski or the motorcycle in Crash 3, you won't just hate Makin' Waves or Hog Ride, you'll hate all the other levels of their kind as well, no matter what changes, & a new background or some new gimmick won't change that. Nonetheless a new gimmick or mechanic in each "new" level still doesn't make up for the lack of innovation & gameplay ideas despite being a party game
I can see one level in each world of the next new Crash game being tied to one of the Crash Bash mini games so it’s given a nod but not remade 1 - 1 like N-sane or Reignited were... sort of a compromise in my opinion... better graphics, more characters, but it’s not a stand alone game...
I'll take either a remake OR a reboot. A remake would be nice, but rebooting the game could have the potential to add SO much more content.

Those are typical challenges that are only required for 101%, a party game needs proper variety & more unique minigames rather than an unnecessary amount of challenges per level & the only trope in the game that actually DOES provide real variety is Medieval Mayhem as all 4 minigames are entirely different, whereas the other tropes are the same 6 levels each repeated 4 times per trope but with a different background & some new gimmick, for better or for worse. This puts the total minigames count at about 28 & that's if you look at 6 of those minigames as 6 different levels per trope otherwise it's only 10. If by Satan's intervention this game DID get remade, it wouldn't be the same, it'd be an entirely different game otherwise compared to Mario Party games (ESPECIALLY MODERN MP games), it would flop. HARD. It'd be better to just make an entirely new game rather than this game in its current form with a fuckton of DLC. Also, Naughty Dog didn't think that their games we're awesome enough that they needed to force the player to get supposedly optional extra stuff just to progress in a casual playthrough. Can you imagine how crappy it would've been if in Crash 3, once you get the first 5 crystals the game tells you that in order to fight Tiny, you need 5 crystals, 4 gems & 3 relics? That's padding. BAD padding at that, just to make up for lack of innovative ideas
Definitely, Crash Bash is not a bad game. But it shows its age. If they had to make another Crash party game, it is preferable that it be a new one and that it is very polished to overcome its competition with hundreds of mini-games like Wario Ware. But at the moment a new game is better. Please fans! Don't let Crash die back asking for remake of Bash, Twinsanity or The Wrath Of Cortex! (Seriously, who's the idiot asking for a remake of The Wrath Of Cortex???!!!)
I agree if the game got retired but if they want “for some reason” to resurrect the game back it must be recreated into another game not a crash bash not a platform game but a game that considers both in one game. An adventure mode which is mostly platform while optionally playing mini games (crash bash style) for collectables. In this case, I think it may satisfy both platform lovers and mini games lover. Anyway, if you ask my family and my friend they really wish to play a remake of the game.
Of course it's boring to play the computer. It's a party game after all. I still play this with my friends and family :)
I don't see how anyone can say Crash Bash doesn't deserve a Remake. Yes, it was made by EuroCom. Yes, it was repetitious. But if you stop and think about the original trilogy. It's the same thing over and over, just a different map skin. CTR: Same thing over and over, just different map skin. But they found a way to work around it. CTR Nitro-Fueled has online play, CNK maps, new modes, etc. Great. Crash Bash could do the same thing. Take all the characters from CTR Nitro-Fueled and put them into Crash Bash as unlockables. (To preserve the story line of course) Afterwards make online play possible. There's so many things that can be done with Crash Bash, and one should never underestimate the powers of A: Nostalgia, and B: The "Anyway" factor. How many games have terrible sequels but people buy them anyways? I think Crash Bash would do very well with a remake.
Exactly, there's a lot of hypocrisy in this community to where they'll complain about stuff that they enjoyed in the original games. Makes them seem very biased for the ND games.
If crash bash gets remade, here a few suggestions to make this the definitive version of the game. If any of you have any extras that I don’t bring up, please suggest as I want this to be the best game ever just like nitro fueled:
1. Online Multiplayer, obviously
2. More characters, please keep rilla roo as he is perfect for the world of memes.

sorry if I seem like I’m shouting, I didn’t mean to. Anyway, for example, increase or decrease the time limit to whatever you want in any game type that requires time, add the ability to choose whether you want the real background or crystal challenge background of a stage, cosmetic wise, as some of the crystal stages are good-looking, if you are playing tank wars, you get to choose what gun you want, so it is not unbalanced, for the mini games that have a visual difference in items such as the pogo games with the different pogo sticks you can use, customize what you want to use in the pogo games, customize your car color or sea animal in the crash dash levels, and for the medieval mayhem games such as dragon drop and mallet mash, customize what dragon or mallet you want to use, or choose what balloon color you want in ring ding, because the more options the better. For polar push, have an option if you want a jet pack or not, so cortex and brio can actually stand a chance in those games. Add more options for teaming up, such as player 1 with player 3 or 4, player 2 with player 3 or 4, etc.
4. Make the unlock conditions for other mini games easier and faster, so people can get to local multiplayer fun quicker with all the mini games unlocked, as the original made you play a lot by yourself for better multiplayer fun, which took forever.
That’s all I have, but I hope these can make the inevitable remake even better so we can have the best time online and offline with this classic. If you have any more suggestions, I would love to hear them. Thank you so much for reading this if you did.
They could also put it into another game, like, you complete the game over 100% and get an HD version of Crash Bash as an unlockable, even better with online multiplayer. For me this game really needs a second chance.
I'd like a remake or reboot. In fact, they should do that before jumping to twinsanity. That was probably my favorite Crash game growing up honestly but I do agree, the story mode could be better.
Considering that ctr nf has made all the new characters, it's a given it will be remade
I loved Crash Bash growing up as a kid. I adored it as much as the Naughty Dog games. So I would love a remake of it, but one in which they add a bunch of characters like CTRNF and some new levels/minigames. The online play makes a lot of sense too.
I am a huge fan of Crash Bash and it was the risk game I remember playing, but I simply want a fresh new Crash game. However, I think it would be cool if mini games from Crash Bash were added as potentially an extra edition to the game, giving it more than the main story.
Crash Bash was one of the 3 Crash games i played back in the days, the other 2 were CTR and Crash 1 (we got Crash 2 and 3 a few years later) so it will always be in my heart..and exactly because of that, i'm not sure if i want a remake...

I was scared when CTR came out, but i think a fun racer is less of a risk than a Party game when it comes to remaking it.
If they actually remake it (and the chance is quite high, cause lets be real...money) i really hope they hire a good team for it.
As cool as it would be to get a remake or even a sequel to Crash Bash, I do question JUST how much they could do. Add more characters? It's honestly not that simple.
Part of Bash's appeal for me was the fact that there were four different playstyles in the roster, each with their own advantages and disadvantages in certain games. It's not too different from the driving styles in Team Racing, until you realise that the playstyles were all dependent on the character themselves. You can't simply do the whole style-swap thing like with Nitro-Fueled...each character would have to be one of the four types and probably stick with it. Take it away and then suddenly it's just not really Bash.
But I do still feel these playstyles actually limit the characters you could include, especially if you try to keep it balanced. Polar and Pura, for example, would be impossible to include in ANY of the playstyles. Here's an example of a roster I came up with whilst trying to keep the four styles intact...
STYLE 1: Crash, Coco, Fake Crash, Pinstripe
STYLE 2: Neo Cortex, Nina, N Brio, N Gin
STYLE 3: Crunch, Tiny, N Tropy, Koala Kong
STYLE 4: Dingodile, Pasadena, Ripper Roo, Rilla Roo
But even then I'm not entirely sure what could be added to that.
Weell, if it's as short as you say they could "add" it to the new Crash 2020, as unlockable secrets or a separate minigames section, but I'm not of that idea, by me it should have the same treatment of ctr, a remake with more free content, more characters, more minigames (and a difficulty level choice, damn, I spent years trying to finish Bash, frustrating and too hard), I had very great moments playing this game with my friends, I have replayed it some time ago with netplay, and I'd love a remake.

I remember playing Crash Bash back in the day and felt distinctly underwhelmed. I didn't hate it, but I felt like it could have offered a lot more. To be honest, if Activision want to make a party game title, they shouldn't just remake Crash Bash, but instead build a new one, and they can use Crash Bandicoot assets.
But I think that party games, as a genre, haven't really taken off in the current generation, save for a few exceptions. Mario Party has continued to work, but that's largely because Nintendo still tries to push their consoles as entertainment systems as opposed to budget gaming PCs like Sony and Microsoft do, and the only other ones that comes to mind are the Just Dance franchise and Jackbox Games, the former seeing a larger number of units sold for the Switch and the Wii. Where Crash Team Racing was certainly a big title in the day, competing against the juggernaut that was Mario Kart by offering a something of a similar flavour to those who owned a PlayStation, and certainly offers a very good alternative to Mario Kart today, as well as being a genre that is popular having a very sizeable online community across multiple consoles, and with the success of the N Sane Trilogy, it only made sense to release a remake of CTR. Crash Bash, on the hand was a tad underwhelming when originally launched, and is in a genre that doesn't have nearly as many die hard fans.
If it offered something of substance to compete against Mario Party, I may just look into it.
Idk, I always felt that the 4 variants of every minigame were different enough to stand on their own. And as ridiculous as the story sounded, the fact that the characters were basically KILLING EACH OTHER OVER AND OVER, and they didn't even pick up the fights themselves, they were forced into it, gave off some hunger games vibes.
My only complaint would be the extra challenges, most of them were BS and unfair even. I never managed to beat the game 100% no matter how many times I tried because of this. Heck, I had never seen some of the minigames you showed here! Imho the game has a lot of potential if it were fixed and expanded upon like what happened with Nitro Fueled, but I do agree it would be really hard to sell it nowadays - tho it's mostly because recent party games pales in comparison to Bash and that says a lot.
The reason why there aren't as many games in Bash as Mario Party is because the games have more depth are required to be played multiple times for various challenges, while Mario Party minigames are way shorter and just one offs. Bash's games have more focus and consistency unlike Mario Party.
I will say that my stance on whether or not we should get more Crash remakes is the following: wait and see.
We, the fans, have little to no control over things. And besides, getting remakes would stop working after Twinsanity, so they'd have to take a different direction sooner or later.
In any case, if we do get a party game sometime in the future, I just wish for it to be slightly easier to get 100%+ completion in it.
I love Crash Bash, I just started watching the video but I need to say, that it is awesome as it is, but obviously should need to fix lots of things in this new era. I don't think a straigh up remake would be convenient. So I say it should be "rebooted" but more than a reboot, it should be treated more as a sequel, so to speak. The concept is really good, it's basically the Crash version of Mario Party. Taking the mini-games from the original game and polishing them, adding new mini-games and most importantly, adding at least all the characters they've done for CTR, has the potential to be one of the most awesome games of the franchise. People need to leave behind the hate they have for the original game, for whatever reason, and see the potential a game like that has in this day and age, with all the graphic and gameplay improvements. I think the characters that CTR has brought back shouldn't be wasted, and an adventure game, which I also crave for, isn't suitable to have all the dozens of characters playable. But a Crash Bash-like game is.

A constant irritation with modern Mario Party is that they still haven't made one where *the main board game mode* can be played online with matchmaking. They always screw up the online or omit it. Give me a new Crash party game with these CTR:NF characters and online matchmaking, please!
Maybe have some homage to the highlights of Bash and Boom Bang, but really just a handful of fleshed out games similar to Bejeweled or Tetris Attack or Puyo Pop or Mario & Sonic Karate and then a lot more Wario Ware type minigames would be swell. Add a board game mode with online matchmaking and a single player / co-op game tower campaign and just
what made the Crash bash good wasn't the story or the levels. it was how it allowed us to play as other characters. I don't think anybody wants a crash party game. we just want a crash game where we can play as all crash characters instead of just crash and coco. that was also what made Twinsanity so special

What!? Crash Bash should be remade, because now it can be played ONLINE, and now they can add all the characters CTRNF and all sorts of skins, and even add more levels and minigames. I'm very sad you don't want this game remade, ok then, how about Crash Nitro Kart single player campaign remade?
How about both a remake AND a reboot? As in, remaking the existing elements and expanding upon it to create a bigger, better game that meets modern standards? Alternatively, the minigames inside another major Crash title would be nice, but I quite enjoyed Crash Bash as it was and would thoroughly enjoy a faithful remake. However, I do agree that it may not hold up so well to the average consumer.

I most definitely want another Crash Bash with online play. It is still one of my favorite games today on par with CTR and they can most definitely improve it just like CTR. Honestly the next game needs to be like Sonic and the secret rings. A main series game for single player and then a separate multiplayer party game mode with online play.
