His acting on Bates Motel is seriously the best I've ever seen. He captured the persona of Norman perfectly, all of his sides - from Innocent!Norman, Loving!Norman, Damaged!Norman, Norma!Norman, etc. They're all so realistic and amazing. Freddie Highmore's acting skills are so A-list, I can't even.
He's such a great actor in this role as Norman Bates but for him to be so emotionally available and emote real tears and make us feel sadness for him is unique. How did he NEVER get an Emmy nod and yet those who won and got nominated didn't go nearly anywhere as close as he did as an actor.
This is one of the best interviews I have seen with Freddie. How funny he is and laughing during it. His ability do bring Norman to life is phenomenal. All the emotions he showed on screen were heart wretching. He's a rising star and I'm so happy even though Bates Motel is over and done. He remained on TV through The Good Doctor.
LITERALLY, I LOVE FREDDIE THE PERFORMER AND THE MAN HE IS, THE ARTIST HE IS BECOMING FROM THE ARTIST HE IS. THE SUAVE CHARM OF THIS ACTOR/PERSON IS VERY ENDEARING. HE IS THE REAL DEAL. I LOVE FREDDIE !
Es un maravilloso joven talento , ojala nos siga sorprendiendo con personajes tan dificiles como lo fue el de Norman Bates , Felicitaciones por todo el exito de la serie 👏👏👏👏👏👏💜💜
HES VERY GOOD IN HIS EXPLAINING WHILE BEING INTERVIEWED BY MANY PEOPLE HES WITH IN THE INTERVIEW ROOM.HE TALKS ABOUT BATES MOTEL AND GOOD DOCTOR, HES BEEN THE BEST ACTOR SINCE GOOD DOCTOR AND BATES MOTEL...I HAVE BEEN WATCHING GOOD DOCTOR EVERY TUESDAY NIGHT ON CHANNEL 7 HERE IN AUSTRALIA I AM AUSTRALIAN AS WELL.
Speaking Recovery - It's interesting that you said this. I have noticed that sometimes I see Timothy Hutton in Freddie. I also sometimes see Thomas Brody Sangster. I think Dylan O'Brien could have done an equally good job with this role but I don't think HE could do it with a British accent!
I can't wait for season 5 - they are finally going to introduce Marion Crane!!! I think it would be so cool if Jamie Lee Curtis played her - i know Marion is mean to be a young female character but it would be amazing if Jamie Lee Curtis reenacts the role her mother was most famous for
I wish season 5 wasn't gonna be the last :( I think they should go past psycho and carry on that would be awesome!! Does anyone know what bunny they keep talking about though?? I can't figure it out :(
There's no croquet scene in 'Psycho'. In Season 4 when Dylan visits Norman at Pineview they play croquet together before Dylan mentions that he and Emma are together. I'm guessing they added that moment since the sport is very popular in England and Freddie comes from there
It is 2021, and I have actively avoided Bates Motel - mainly because of the Freddie Highmore casting - it just didn't seem to sit well - how could the young Charlie Bucket be convincing as a psychotic killer? If I'm ever in the unlikely situation that I should meet Freddie, I will apologise to him. I'm astounded by his talent and the absolute brilliance of Bates Motel - I've watched season one to four over the xmas holidays, with season five to go. Unbelievable that something could be this good, and I've avoided it.
I just watched it for the first time about a month ago. I didn't even know it was a series. I also didn't realize Freddie was in it. I just admired him so much as Dr. Shaun Murphy. I started looking for more projects he had done. I stumbled on Bates Motel and I have watched it over and over. His performance is breathtaking. He's one of the best actors of his generation.
I've seen only season one so far, it's not my style of serie but considering the hype around Freddie's performance, I think I have to continue watching right ?
he's from England !!!!???? wtf the main guy walking dead is too . American actors step your game up . They are taking over sounding more American then you ,looking more attractive and sadly acting wayyyyyy better lol
I've not seen Psycho so I don't know how it comes up in the movie. It took me a while to realize they are talking about the bunny that Emma's mom brings to her when she has her transplant. The bunny ultimately ends up with Norman.

Excelent dramatic actor, honestly is the best.
and the Emmy goes to Freddie Highmore (Bates Motel)
All the roles in bates motel were perfectly cast, but nobody could have played norman but freddie. What a phenomenal talent this guy is.

His acting is so good that I still think he may be a bit crazy watching him in his normal state. Great young actor!
HE'S SO ADORABLE!!
He’s really cute and well spoken.
I FUCKING LOVE HIS VOICE
One of my big finds in 2021! What an amazing actor and Bates Motel is so brilliant in all departments. It’s truly a classic.
Freddie has a very rare talent that most young actors don’t......I love him so much, and he’s very underrated
He is SO CUTE!! ♥ I could stay here all day long hearing him.
I agree with him, the real romance of Bates Motel is between Norman and Norma.
I keep forgetting he's British.
The beginning threw me off when he started speaking.
He's such a great actor!
He is so perfect💜

How he goes from English to American wows me. There again he is an amazing actor!
I have been in love with him since I was 11 years old I am now 21 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The Best. I love Freddie Highmore
He looks so young with that baby face
Well done Freddie, you're a pleasure to watch on Bates motel. A good actor, with a bit of humour too 💙💎
Hes verry good actor and i like him so much

You are Australian as well? As well as whom? You know Freddie is English, right?
the only other actor I thought might have been able to do Norman is a young Timothy Hutton But Freddie is the Master

He plays his role so well, that I seem to reeeally dislike him hahah
OMG...so perfect...
I would guess he's one of the nicest people in Hollywood
hes so British. i didn't know about that
I can't wait for season 5 - they are finally going to introduce Marion Crane!!! I think it would be so cool if Jamie Lee Curtis played her - i know Marion is mean to be a young female character but it would be amazing if Jamie Lee Curtis reenacts the role her mother was most famous for
Humaira N so is Freddie going to do both Bates Motel and The Good Doctor?
Freddie is Not playing Norman Bates. He IS Norman Bates. 👍
Thats why He is so brilliant in Bates Motel. 🤗 🤩 ❤️
what a cutie
his voice in this interview is different compared to the spiderwick chronicles interview
I wish season 5 wasn't gonna be the last :( I think they should go past psycho and carry on that would be awesome!!
Does anyone know what bunny they keep talking about though?? I can't figure it out :(
In "Psycho", Norman has a stuffed toy of a bunny in his room
I was wondering the same thing! And I think the croquet he mentioned got cut. Or is that from "Psycho" too?
There's no croquet scene in 'Psycho'. In Season 4 when Dylan visits Norman at Pineview they play croquet together before Dylan mentions that he and Emma are together. I'm guessing they added that moment since the sport is very popular in England and Freddie comes from there
@@sfinn85 strange because he loved his rabbit in the Good Doctor
Su nariz es bonita 💛
Freddie is noble looking not pretty.

@@treenanelson2038 I've just watched the entire 3 seasons of The Good Doctor, and I'm up to date on season 4. Superb young actor.
@@ghostnspectors9300He did some films when was younger. You'd probably like August Rush if you haven't seen it. The Art of Getting By is cute too.
I've seen only season one so far, it's not my style of serie but considering the hype around Freddie's performance, I think I have to continue watching right ?

What bunny are they referring to?
I've not seen Psycho so I don't know how it comes up in the movie. It took me a while to realize they are talking about the bunny that Emma's mom brings to her when she has her transplant. The bunny ultimately ends up with Norman.
freddie = perfection uwu
wait what bunny? what's the significance of the bunny?
+Mila Djordjevic If you've seen Psycho recently, you will know what he's referring to.
Dr Shaun Murphy had a rabbit growing up.

Amos 5 verse 14
Seek good, not evil, that you may live. Then the LORD God Almighty will be with you, just as you say he is.
