Freddie is so soft-spoken I think it kind of affected Conan a bit.... I've never seen Conan being this polite lol
captain zhaji it’s the power of the British! I’m Australian but I notice if I slightly talk like I’m from the UK, in a soft and posh voice, people tend to be more polite back, I do it mostly when I’m incredibly angry!

I'm British and so many people say I'm so soft spoken and my Dad mocks me because there are some words I say slightly poshly and when I'm mad, I automatically censor out my own swearing by only pronouncing the first syllable then move on with what I'm saying, though I do swear normally. (my friends used to say that I'd swear so softly though). I still don't swear in front of my mum and she tells me it's okay to do it (I swear in front of my Dad because he doesn't care and I swear in front of my brother (he doesn't though I was at his age (he's almost 16 and I'm 18) and he sometimes laughs or ignores it)

Freddie has come such a long way from being Charlie in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, to Norman freaking Bates. Still one of my favourite younger actors IMO.
He was so good with the American accent in his younger movies. August Rush, etc.

Erikaahh_Mae, they spoke to each other and understood each other through music. The precedent was set with the way the father first jammed with August in the park. Besides, it's sometimes better to leave things unsaid at the end of certain movies.

I would never say “it amuses me when...”It would have been “it makes me laugh when...”or “I have to laugh” actually being from Sheffield it would be “it meks mi laugh” or “I ‘ave t’ laugh” all the words would sound like one as well. Itmeksmilaugh and iavtlaugh. I speak too fast for my own good sometimes. Conan would never understand me if I went into full “Dee dah” mode.

I am rather almost pretty sure that he was joking, it's a rather dry sense of humour, and therefore a bit hard for some people to pick up on.

I disagree it's a well to do accent but not overbearingly posh when they get really posh the start missing r's E.G. saying here as hyah
In all fairness I feel it's kind of a redundant recurring theme to talk about accents and swear words whenever you have a Brit on the show

He’s been exposed to the Hollywood types since he was a very young child and yet he still comes across as just plain genuinely nice. Funny cute interview! I adore Brits and their accents! (Freddie does a great American accent). Brits sound so intelligent and Classy! Freddie is the most beautiful person! The camera loves him! His parents must be so proud! He has perfect looks and such a delightful way of speaking with his smile and those dimples! Truly I have never seen anyone who has all his talent good looks and yet soooo very grounded! I had not seen him until The Good Doctor! I watch each episode 3-4 times and the entire cast is amazing!
