guys are so damn fragile lmao. He is adorable, his smile isn't creepy, and he's doing an interview when he could be a sort of shy, introverted person. he's just smiling lol. and that's a character on television. are you telling me you would murder Helena Bonham Carter if you saw her in the street because her character in Harry Potter killed Sirius Black? your arguments make no sense. need some tissue paper?
He is adorable. I can't believe how well he hides that british accent. I didn't even have a clue that he or "Emma" were brits from watching the show. Amazing talents.
I heard the British accent come out once in season 1 but I just thought he was doing that bit for some other reason. At the time I hadn't done any research on him either.
I'm seeing Finding Neverland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, August Rush, Spiderwick Chronicles...He doesn't age. He just gets taller and a deeper voice!
Looking through the comments and finding I've already liked a bunch of them.... That moment when you realise you've watched so many Freddie Highmore videos you've started at the beginning again 😂
LelouchViBritannia13 I was watching one of his older movies, and I thought he was 10 because he looked 10 but turns out he was 14, in the second and third movies of that series he was 17 and 18 and yet still looked 10
It's really weird watching Freddie acting as a psychotic character but he does it _so_ well. I belong in the generation which grew up with his old childhood and fantasy movies like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, August Rush, Arthur and the Minimoys saga, The Spiderwick Chronicles, Five Children and It, Finding Neverland etc. He was always playing an adventurous young boy, but now seeing him in such a different role and grown up, is really awesome and each season he manages to make me forget about his old movies and get in his role. He's a special and captivating actor, grown up in every possible meaning, honestly.
I'm the same I've just started season 2 and still can't wrap around my head the fact that the last film I saw him in was CATCF now he's suddenly grown up voice has changed and his playing completely different roles to what he used to do
+Breanna Tyler hrs unbelievably talented and he hides his British accent so well when speaking American you almost forget he's British he's an amazing actor in every sense 😍😍
broke multitrash I saw The Good Doctor first then Bates Motel. It destroyed me because Freddie’s acting as Shaun laid out my perception of Freddie as cute and innocent. Then I watched Bates Motel, which corrupted my perception because he played serial killer with DID. One thing I realized after I finished Bates Motel, though, was Freddie is a versatile actor. Can’t wait for more of him. :)
I'm new to Freddie Highmore and his work in The Good Doctor and now Bates Motel and this guy is incredible as an actor...him and Vera in Bates Motel are awesome together.
Ryan Shah not really about him being British, Hollywood doesn't just discriminate British people, Daisy Ridley was hardly heard of I until she did star wars
No. He was in Willie Wonka and The Chocolate Factory as a young boy but you don't really remember him in that movie because was so young. He hasn't really been in any well known movies or shows.
Freddie Highmore is an excellent actor ... Season 4 was magnificent. ..The whole cast did an amazing job. Emmy Awards for the show and for Freddie Highmore . Damn this show is good. Can't wait for season 5.
"the kiss we saw at the end of season 2"..... this is why it's a bad idea to watch these when you're not caught up.... Well that was a giant spoiler lol
Freddie Highmore has definitely come a long way from playing Charlie Bucket in Tim Burton's remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He does a great job playing Norman IMO.
I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who thinks Freddie Highmore is frickin' adorable! Now, is it just me or does anyone else think that Freddie is hot and his accent makes you melt everytime?! Gosh, I love him!
Such a great actor... you never realize his quirks are acted. Some actors have quirky speech patterns and body language. He’s just a normal bloke but he crushes it on screen.
What makes him attractive? His intellect. You get the impression he's somewhat of a genius. I think he played the ultimate psychopath perfectly. He was born to play Norman Bates even down to his stance, the way he stands and his body language.
Bates Motel was released on March 18, 2013 and that was 10 years ago. I was 14 going on 15 when this first came out. Freddie is an amazing actor and everyone who was part of the cast and crew were amazing as well.
refreshing to hear him say EMMA and not "EMMER" lol :) He's such a good actor - he's really coming into his talents and it's great to see. Hope he goes far. :)
Great actor with a very promising future! I usually don't watch movies like "Bates Motel" but the characters... especially Norman and Norma have me hooked. As a mother of two sons myself I could relate to a lot of the movie even though it was a freaky, exaggerated version of a mother/son relationship. Very good series MOSTLY because of the fantastic characters and acting. Loved it! ♥️
I completely agree, upon learning what happened in the later seasons, I was in disbelief. Of course, I knew this all happened in the show, but it was so out of character compared to the very beginning. I had to pull myself away remind myself how things originally were. It was hard making that connection, I wanted to believe it was as simple and pure as it seemed. At the very core, I believe it is, but it was not as perfect as it appeared to be on the surface. Freddie explained that well.
He's one of my favorite young actors, ever since I saw him in Finding Neverland this guy is just amazing. I love Vera as well she's one of my favorite actors.
He's amazing, really really amazing. In a series like this one, if the main character is not as good as he is everything would just seem stupid and fake...but I have unvolontary chills down my spine when I see him now XD
What a sweetheart, even his voice is so cute and calm.
Ronald McDonald well actually you just need charisma
***** no?
***** Well he actually isn't Norman Bates
***** I was talking about Freddie and not the character he plays
+Da1tonTheGreat she told you...
i can't believe he's 24! he still looks 16.
lol that's what I thought in Willy wonka he looked way younger than me XD
Just like our Thomas Sangster. 26 years old, looking like a 18 year old
+Lαdy Panda mindblown
+Chris Jarma Must be a Brit thing 😂
IKR
He is adorable. So charismatic and softspoken. You can tell how much of a sweet guy he is.
He's gorgeous! I smile everytime he smiles 😁
Same
+TJLAZER just leave. your presence here is irrelevant.
Similes are contagious 😂
Ha gaaaaaay
I love his sense of humor. He laughs a lot in interviews and it shows he's genuinely a happy person.
He is such a great actor, so as Vera, they're amazing together! it's very believable (and disturbing) lol
Scherbatsky -BJ The best actor on that show was the dog before it got ran over!
TJLAZER 1/10
TJBond It bothered me because I have a dog that looks almost identical to the one in the movie. I actually cried when that happened. 😥
He's so freaking cute!!
TJLAZER he's foreign
TJLAZER what the fuck?
+TJLAZER Gay's not an insult ;)
guys are so damn fragile lmao.
Update: He's gay
He is adorable. I can't believe how well he hides that british accent. I didn't even have a clue that he or "Emma" were brits from watching the show. Amazing talents.
wow the actress is british? Started the show a week ago and I'm obessed
Sophia grace and rosie did that on ellen too.
I heard the British accent come out once in season 1 but I just thought he was doing that bit for some other reason. At the time I hadn't done any research on him either.
zelastjoker me too!! i thought i was the only one
he so gorgeous wtf
+Sabrinaaa i knooooow XD
I'm seeing Finding Neverland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, August Rush, Spiderwick Chronicles...He doesn't age. He just gets taller and a deeper voice!
IKR...Hes like peter pan...he never get older...just taller..
he was masterful in Finding Neverland
Ziad Salem One of my favourite films of his fantastic acting never disappoints 😏😏
Doesn't age? He's still in his 20s lol
Oh Hamburgers - He wasn't in his 20s in those other movies. I don't look identical to when I was 9 and 10, whereas he does.
My sexuality is Freddie Highmore

Freddie Highmore has definitely come a long way from playing Charlie Bucket in Tim Burton's remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He does a great job playing Norman IMO.

He is better than Tom Holland!!!

Both are amazing individuals
I love both. They’re both incredible.
Freddie looks like a child but seems more mature while Tom looks like a child & acts like one. Freddie FTW.

How?
+Deanna Allen he gets a bit intense
+Ally Eve same here!!!!
+Ally Eve omg SO annoying. he gets so needy and when he gets so mad it makes me mad myself.
I think he's got Norman Bates spot on! In season 3 he starts going gradually more and more psycho. He plays the part really well.
Freddie is such a beautiful and humble gentleman. He is an outstanding actor too. His smile and dimples are divinely created. Peace from Luca
"And I get to put on a dress" 😂😂
I'm obsessed with Freddie & Shaun!!
Hes a really good actor vplays the part of norman very well, oh even the mother lol..

Great actor with a very promising future! I usually don't watch movies like "Bates Motel" but the characters... especially Norman and Norma have me hooked.
