GPSA Webinar 1: Modernising grain industry contributions - GIF & GIRDF Reform Proposal 20/11/2023

Grain Producers SA (GPSA) is undertaking consultation on a proposal to change the collect method and rate of the Grain Industry Fund (GIF) and Grain Industry Research and Development Fund (GIRDF).
Since the inception of the GIF and GIRDF, the collection method has been based on cents per tonne. Through the proposal, GPSA is seeking to change to a collection method based on percentage per farm gate return. As part of this process, an uplift in both the GIF and GIRDF is also proposed, with the remittance frequency to change from monthly to quarterly.
