Thanks Ben - really appreciate the teaching and the time you put back into the sport for other’s benefit. Look forward to putting this teaching in practice soon.
I ride a 9'0 and am starting to try to noseride (I'm 166cm tall and about 55kg heavy). I noticed that if I make my steps as wide as they naturally come, I automatically would land on the nose for a hang 5 with my back foot first (so kinda with crossed legs). Besides that I absolutely LOVE my board. Would you recommend practicing smaller steps or getting a longer board?
Hey!!! Great question - I would definitely start using the small step big step method - (where first 2 steps are smaller and next 2 steps are bigger) and also starting your stepping from the tail 🙂 I do offer video analysis if you were after a more in depth look, just if that’s something you were looking for , but I hope that’s helpful!!
Do you chase heavy barrels ever on a shorter board? I've just got into logging a bit more. Chasing the feeling of riding the nose is a bit like chasing barrels.
100% !!! Haha it absolutely is, the setup is kind of similar as well, trying to stall yourself into the peak or backdoor the section! Both are awesome haha 🤙
Awesome vid. Keep’em rolling.
