Everything is flowering two or three weeks later due to the cool spring, however July has finally bought a little colour to the garden. Even the dahlias have begun to bloom - just! So why not join English horticulturist Simon as he shows us just what is what in this exotic garden July tour.

I spotted a nice lophophora in flower there. Mine always gets eaten by some bug if I put it outside. They get tiny little holes all over them.

You have identified correctly. I have had issues with slugs on these before but I have a robust management system in place. I found one on it a week ago but there was no noticeable damage. Thanks for your comment Dibblethaite. Simon
