I have the same gun and scope shane, brought for my 76th birthday by my son. its not even run in yet, less than a hundred pellets, but I know it will do for a rat at least 25yds, cos that how long my garden is, im thrilled to bits with it. PS Id not touched an air gun since a young man in the 60,s lol, .
PG GP thanks for the comment , I honestly prefer my webley gas ram , vmx dr , cost half the price , I’ve shot 90 pellets through both guns, gonna do a versus video in the next couple of days, and am willing to sell this one for a sensible price , cheers Shane
edward johnson thanks for the comment , gonna make a versus video , against the webley gas ram , and you will be suprised by my conclusions cheers Shane
I am buying this for my son to practice on open sight first. he is a lefty too like you so the ambidextrous guns from this company make sense I got my self a HW97 as well. which he will get too once he is used to handling and looking after the gun.
Just found this video and I'm getting the same rifle in 2 weeks. I think notice your shotting with left hand, I'm right handed but left eye dominant, so just wondering are you the same or just left hand and left eye dominant. Nice video and yes was told the weihrauk is a good rifle and shooter

That’s a very nice rifle, I was impressed with the accuracy. Have you chrony’d it yet? For a spring gun in .177 around 10.5fpe is the sweet spot, very pleasant to shoot. I also liked your vid editing with the target work, thanks.

Just bought one, a lovely very accurate gun. Mine was a bit twangy but soon settled down, doesn’t come with interchangeable front sight any more and now has a “fake” sight ! Shame on you Weihrauch doesn’t fool anybody and cheapens the gun !!

Hi Shane, thanks for posting your video. Two questions please. I do like the look and the spec of the HW99S and it is on my shopping list but should I be considering any other air rifles in the £200 - £250 region ? Any thoughts on the Stoeger F40 as that appears to be very low priced but perhaps that’s because it is inferior ? Secondly, I would like to know what those targets are that show brightly when hit, are they the self adhesive ones ? Thanks in advance, and if any other viewers have knowledge / an opinion on the Stoeger F40 I’d love to hear your views..
the targets Dag, are called shoot and see, if you type that in on Amazon or Ebay you will see them for sale here in the uk around 12 pounds for 200, and yes they are sticky cheers shane
Hi , my HW99 seems to have a mind of its own ! Every new practice session gives me a new point of impact ( same distance to target , same pellets , gun rested , breathing technique , follow through etc etc ) Maybe I need to take up a new hobby - needlework maybe 😂
I had same problem with my 99s so sent it off to Tony wall for a tune and had thumb hole stock fitted it likes Diabolo exact pellets, totally different gun now , had loads of pigeons with it .
@@alancummings7107 yes , i got around to taking mine to Tony as well. He said the piston seal had perished so he replaced that and gave it a service. Its much better now but i still prefer the HW100 for hunting👍

i had this graunching problem 2 years ago with mine , just take the stock off and use a cheap water colour brush to put some molly grease inside the slot where the shoe slides , shoot 30 pellets and it will start again , repeat the process 3 or 4 times and problem solved , had mine just over 2 years now
i never chronoed the 99s so if i said that i apologise , beileved them to be around 10.5 to just over 11 ft lbs , the hw 30 is lower in power if i have my facts right ,,,thanks shane
That one can do pellet on pellet!! Just need to really clean the barrel properly, with a pull though system, never any metal bars!! And secondly, buying some quality pellets would seriously make the difference!! I personally have tried the JSB Exacts, at 8.44 grs, and the JSB Heavies at 10.34grs, and even the JSB Express at 7.87grs are pellet on pellet... The more you shoot it, the better it gets :-) Oh, I'm sure you know this already, but just in case, NEVER EVER dry fire that rifle!!! Be a shame to ruin the internals... Enjoy!!!!!! :-) :-)

Lovely gun. Weihrauch Quality. Great shooting!
I appreciate the mid power range of the HW 50. HW 30 shoots a lil soft HW 95 has too much power to enjoy as much as my 50’s
