The Netherlands do it. In Germany it needs to be discussed for 5 years and gets forgotten after that.

@@malekmalek9064 Its BYD advertisement, it does not say how many E-busses drive in Germany, ...
At least in Germany everything gets tested before ordering a larger batch. This BYD order was placed without enough thinking and buses were put in service without much testing.
Well, we're in february 2021 now and these buses have had nothing else but trouble and problems. It's so bad that a group of mechanics from China had to come over, and still the problems aren't over. Problems like a not working heater (with extreme outside temperatures down to -12 C!), not working A/C, and batteries going from 80% to 0% within 10 minutes (not only now but in december with +10C as well)

Why did they buy cheap buses from China when there are plenty of excellent electric buses from European manufacturers? Also I see it has a high floor and stairs at the back. This is completely anachronistic. There is no excuse for a bus (especially an electric one) not to be fully low floor in 2021.
@@tonyhworks because cheap cheap cheap. From the outside they also look old fashioned
Same here in Dubai
@@tonyhworks Because Keolis did fraudulent actions anyway, they knew nobody else would want to take their faulty BYD's over and nobody wanted to invest in new, *better* material
@@tonyhworks they actually were fraudulent in buying the fleet so the 800 million euro bus concession has now been won by another company
Why not paint them all black and red? Make them more attractive.
Black color retain heat...
Byd is the best
Die dingen rijden hier in Gelderland rond maar ze staan vaak kapot ...... goedkoop is duur koop
470.000 euro per stuk ....hoezo goedkoop!

Why?

Buses look good new, but these buses have extremely long overhangs front and rear. Makes them turn tight, but they need totally flat road routes. Steep grades and driveway ramps are a problem. Not impressed with the drivers station for layout, fit and finish and the use of modern materials. The European brand buses appear to have a much higher level of fit and finish along with materials durability and longevity. In short, looks like inexpensive economy car grade bus.
However, there a a zillion of these electric buses already in service in China. So it’s not like the fleet has no service history available for it. A little digging around should give information on just how well these busses are holding up.
Are these buses built in Europe with parts from China or are they imported complete from China?
Interesting review. I am sure the buses are reliable because byd batteries for cars have a 500,000 km warranty in China for cars. The byd battery is also the safest battery, and the nail penetration test, which results in a scary NCM fires, only causes the byd blade battery temperature to increase to 60 C. I believe the Shenzhen bus fleet is electric and has been operating for 5 years 100% electric.
China already can independently build their own space station. SO why worry lol.
@@aungaisum8654 Yes, China probably could build a space station and may be pursuing plans to do that at some point. But they have not done so yet. However, they have developed the capability to build battery electric buses and are building the worlds biggest fleet of them. And they are now being sold world wide. BYD builds electric busses in the United States for the US market. I know they can build first class buses. I just don’t think the ones I saw in this video meet that standard. The premium bus manufactures from Europe and North America all build very good busses so the bar is set very high. The city I live in operates some Hybrid buses on some of its routes. There are plans to expand that fleet. I do not know if they are ordering any battery electric buses yet. One place I believe battery electric buses are soon going to surge into service in are school bus fleets.
Byd is the only company that makes good electric buses
HO FROUDE
poor Van Hool and others. these busses made in China. not Holland.
VanHool is Belgian, but yeah any bus from any European manufacturer would've been better
Volvo is better
Volvo, Solaris, Man whatever. NL goes cheap buying vehicles from a country that does not respect intellectual property.
Any other, like Volvo, Irizar, Man, Iveco, Rampini, Mercedes Benz, Vectia, Vanhool or Solaris, would be better than BYD.
Volvo is a Chinese owned company.
BYD sucks!
Yes these break down EVERY WINTER
Im a busdriver. To be honest most .buses are very very poor quality build i wouldnt spend 280000 on a bus from any company. They got countless of priblems.
VDL sucks, BYD wins!
atleast VDL doesn't break down every 7 seconds.
XD Those BYD's suck, Chinese CRAP
