Great review! Nice job at showing what the Oupes 600 will power and what it won't. I have the Oupes 1100 and really like the features it shares with the 600 (well built, clear, readable display, practical layout, lithium iron phosphate battery). One helpful difference on the 1100 is that the display shows both the input and output wattages. Like you, I wish there was an option for keeping the display on full-time. Have you tried the 1100 on a refrigerator or freezer? I'm looking to get one to run my freezer. I've read reviews about the fan never cutting off and draining the battery. I'm new to all this and trying to learn because I have people waiting for me to buy and try before they do. I don't want to lead them wrong. How long it will run a freezer will matter also. I plan on have it on solar as I'm using it
Judy do you know the wattage ? How many watts? What’s the surge when it turns on? Also how long do you need to run it or is it mainly for power outage ?

I knew what I was getting with this thing, the inverter isn't great, but I got it for DC use, DC compressor fridge, and only paid $139, which did run it for over 50 hours during my test..
Good review. I would have liked to see how long this unit would last powering the frig. I think the Company should supply the cords to connect solar. To me that's a no brainer. They also have an 1800 watt model available for about $1200 with some nice features.
I could see this being perfect for camping, and would be. Great outdoors mans or woman’s tool, keep your items of whatever you might use charger up.

For $550 I shouldn't be worried about a broken screen from removing plastic film.......thanks for showing it.....but that seems like a QC issue and people will return it over that if they don't know

You didn't mention, the power button pulses off and on, even though the display is dark. This is a bit distracting in a dark room, when trying to sleep. Is there a purpose for this?
Hi Patty, Just by design from the company is all I could guess.
I had thar problem and I covered it with a Band Aid. It worked!
Last year's model is $349 with the $50 coupon and this year's model is $369 on Amazon. I bought the newer model, since it is 15 db quieter compared to 30 db for the cheaper and older unit.
I am waiting for mine to be delivered. I expect to use it camping and also recharging my EBike. I think that people will freak out charging an EBike rather than this unit. I have 3 amp charging cables, so my C plug charging will be faster than the OEM 2 amp cables.

Question: (to use this for back up power source for a pellet stove's fan and auger) Do you think, with this unit plugged into 120v house outlet, utilizing pass thru power, it would power my pellet stove? Then if the power goes out as it sometimes does in the winter, it would continue to power the stove long enough for me to turn the stove off? (if a pellet stove looses power it will fill the house with smoke until the fire burns out)
How many watts are we taking about and what is your surge wattage on your device / devices?
Do you think this will run an angle grinder, Skill saw, etc.? Also, I have a small Mr. coffee maker. It says it’s 650W. So that means it’s over the 600W model and will not work; correct?
Surge will probably prevent you from using some of those, also the coffee make I’d say no. But you can always try
What size is the barrel port on the side? Im trying to see if it’s compatible with Gosun’s products.

Great video but the pass through charging test wasn't definitive. If you could redo the test and once the Ego is charging at full if you were to pull the power going into the device and see if the time remaining changes it would be more conclusive as there is no simultaneous read for in/out like on an Ecoflow.
Hi Robert it was simply a test to show the power station can power devices and charge at internal battery at the same time. That worked. Yes I agree the display doesn’t show both Input and output like an ecoflow but it does have pass through charging capabilities. Let me know if you have any other questions, always like to help.
@@TechMadeEzy how can you be certain if it was charging or just passing current from the wall to the device? By unplugging the wall charger you can confirm. If the time remaining drops and then you plug it back in and time remaining increases it pass through charging. If the time remaing stays static its pass through but not charging.
Sorry I assumed but I should’ve told you while I was using this for a couple of weeks I did a test pass through charging with my phone and the power station and both of them were charging percentages were going up on both devices. I hope this helps clarify things. Thanks Robert
